This story begins with an arranged marriage. The two highest families in the kingdom have decided to wed their oldest children, a boy and a girl. This was the only way to counter against a war for power but little did the families know that the newly wed hated each other with a burning passion. If peace is to be kept, the boy and girl must find a way to come to a mutual feeling or their families would bring blood shed for power.

As the clouds danced across the skies, it began to rain slightly and peacefully. Today was a new day, a day where peace would finally be made possible. The prince, who was still sleeping, had been drawn into one of his usual dreams. He could see himself floating around the dark abyss of what seemed to be outer space. He was quite familiar with the place already. He was always brought here and for reasons he didn't even know. "I'm here... again?" Just then a small beam of light could be seen in the distance. The prince began to float towards it, he could feel its heavenly warmth. The light made him feel at home.

The prince's maid walked into his room and slid his window curtains over. She opened the window slightly and allowed some fresh air to come in. Haru, wake up. Today is your wedding day! You must get ready soon young prince. She said as she placed her hand gently on his cheek. She remembered how much of a little brat Haru was when he was younger but now he's all grown up. The thought brought silent tears of joy to the maid. She had waited long for this to come.

Haru continued to follow the light and as he got closer, he could feel his lungs begin to hurt. He was losing oxygen but he had to continue. He wanted to feel the light, embrace it. And just as he was about to run out of oxygen, he reached his hand out and barely touched the light. A series of colors flashed before his eyes and woke up him. Huh? What was that all about? He mumbled while sitting himself up in bed. He rubbed his eyes and stretched with a yawn.

Haru took a quickly glance around the room with one eye and noticed that his maid, Marie, was beside him. Mornin' Marie! He greeted her with a smile. Marie wiped away her tears quickly and returned the greeting with a bow. Good morning young prince. Did you already forget what today was? She asked. Haru looked out the window and sighed. No, I haven't forgotten. Today is the day I get married. How delightful. He forced himself to let out a smile.

Haru is a master at hiding his emotions. All Marie could see was that he was happy but was he truly happy? He'd have to marry a girl he's hated ever since they were kids. Everyone thought that they would be a perfect pair. -Even called them star-crossed lovers. Haru sighed again then began to get ready for his wedding with Marie's help.
