She was patrolling on one of those rare evenings that she wasn't patrolling and training with Beringia. It just happened to be one of those three days of the week he set aside to focus on his school work. She probably should have taken a page out of that book, but she was actually on top of her work, and thus decided to put her night to a better use. It'd been a pretty routine night. She'd taken out a few youma, stopped yet another purse snatcher, and was currently kneeling on the corner of a building's roof top when she felt it. A Chaos signature--- The senshi's fingers clung tightly to the edge of the roof top, tensing to launch herself off when an inner voice (which both a blessing and a curse) that took the form of Beringia's angry zeal told her no. Sedna paused, and focused on the signature again, when she noted that it was a higher level than her. ...Yeah. Yeah, no. She was alone, and of course if she tried to engage it without the Polaris Page there it'd just spell trouble and it'd honestly just prompt him to be able to say I told you so. Now that she had sensed him though, he no doubt had sensed her, so instead of launching herself towards it, she moved in the opposite direction of it, leaping from one roof top to the next.

It was one of those nights when no one responded to the message he'd painted weeks ago and so Labyrinthite had abandoned his perch and taken to the streets of Destiny City to rid himself of the restless energy that'd settled in his bones. The night was a quiet one, with few auras pulsing in his senses and at one point, the general had considered calling it a night because exhaustion seeped heavy in his frame.
Flashes from his lesson with Wolfeite continually flickered through his thoughts. The look in his eye, the one that was a mixture of contempt, envy, and arousal, then the hiss of teeth as control continued to be stripped from the lieutenant. The after that followed the brutal beat down in the broken planetarium.
It left him contemplative, intrigued because of new ventures and ways of exerting dominance. It stayed fresh in his mind as he walked until order grew too close to him then tried to turn tail and flee. Without thinking he shifted from his casual gait into a sprint, eager to catch sight of whatever senshi it was.
He caught sight of a long red coat and a stock of white hair and he was grinning when he teleported to the next rooftop she'd come across, wide grin on his face when whiskey-gold eyes got a chance to glance Sedna over. "Where are you off to in such a hurry? It hurts my feelings."

Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. It was coming her way. Sedna was kind of panicking as she continued to leap across roof tops, hastily trying to figure out what to do to lose it. Maybe if she found a place to hide, and temporarily reverted to not magical? But that just seemed like a bad idea---what if she was found and she was really helpless!? Then she forget something super important. Higher ranking officers could teleport. Just thinking that seemed to summon it---him. Sedna landed on the edge of the roof top the agent had suddenly just appeared out, her eyes going wide as she let out a yelp. The senshi made frantic windmill motions with her arms to gain her balance, and managed to right herself. That small crisis averted, she could focus on who was in front of her---and the sinking feeling in her stomach. Oh no. He was definitely a higher level than her--- The senshi froze, her hands slightly up in a gesture of non-aggression, and was stunned before being spurred into talking. "Um---fresh donuts?" She offered uncertainly, really having nothing else clever to say. "Ah---s-sorry, guy, um---" How was she supposed to get out of this one if it went bad? "Aaaaaaare you gonna attack me or can we just um---yanno---have a nice chat tonight?" She smiled nervously.

The corners of the general's lips quirked upward while Sedna tried to keep herself from falling. It was amusing to watch her arms flail from his startling entrance because - well he'd always liked making a dramatic entrance,
The donuts were offered and he shook his head, Cheshire grin stretching across his mouth and exposing his sharp, white teeth that glistened in the moonlight. "I'll have to pass. They were never the type of sweets I preferred," he quipped, a dark brow arching as he stepped forward, shortened the distance between them.
"I'm more of a starburst or generic candy bar kind of guy," he pretended to admit sheepishly, hands slipping into his pant pockets. "You don't happen to have any of those tucked away in that coat of yours do you?" He doubted it, but he was enjoying toying with the senshi a bit.
"My decision remains dependent on what you have to offer me...?" He looked at her expectantly, clearly waiting for her to introduce herself.

"Oh, darn---donuts are so good though---especially of the Dunkin' variety." Out of reflex, she tried to take a step back, but that stopped as she slid a heel back, and it temporarily hovered over nothing. Oh right. Edge of the building. Duh. Wait...maybe this could be her... just in case escape plot. Sedna slid her leg back onto the solid surface of the roof, and then shifted her weight to one leg, looking to seem casual, her hands resting on her hips. Yeah. It's cool. Just chatting up with this high level Nega agent who happened to look like a grim reaper in that cloak--- The senshi's brows knitted as something seemed to occur to her. Isaiah had warned her about a Negaverse agent who went parading around looking like a reaper...and he had a scythe...Did this guy...? Was this guy--- "Huh?" Sedna blinked, "Eh---starburst? I love those!" She paused, catching up with the conversation. "Oh---" She made a good show of heartily patting down her coat and layers, coming up with nothing. She grinned a bit at him. "Afraid not, sorry! More likely to get moths probably, first." Her hands went back on her hips. "Offer...uh...how about a charming grin and a endless optimism? Whatcha think, guy?" She didn't miss the cue, and raised a hand. "My name's Sedna! What's yours?" Please don't let it be what she was thinking it might be.

"Too messy, with frosting and crumbs getting everywhere," he replied with a sharp upward twist of his mouth. If there was a doubt to his predatory nature before, it was likely gone now. "Plus all that residue, a real pain to clean up. Among other things." There was a shrug that accompanied his words that appeared far to casual for the charged area around them.
Labyrinthite hadn't missed the way the senshi attempted to step back only to realize there was no where to go but down.
He wondered if she would run. A part of him wanted her to, he did love a good chase after all. But she didn't, instead righting herself and striking a casual pose. He admired her effort, perhaps she was worth leaving alive and keeping an eye on.
"Afraid that doesn't really suit my mo, or my needs. Come on Sedna." Her name rolled off his tongue in a mix of a threat and a purr. "Give me something better." He stepped forward, heels of his boots clicking against the roof. "You look so uncomfortable, why don't you come closer? I don't bite." He chuckled, teeth sharp and glistening when he added, "hard."
The shark grin softened as he considered giving her his name. "I, my dear Sedna, am General Labyrinthite."

Sedna laughed, nervously, and knew at this moment that she definitely needed an adult (Beringia). The senshi stiffened as the general stepped closer, and wanted to oh so badly take a step back, but knew she couldn't. Her hands left her hips to instead raise up in front of her chest. "Ahhhhhhfraid I've never been bitten before and well---not so interested in finding out what that feels like tonight." Man, the danger was just radiating off of him--- Already pale, she turned a sickly shade of white when she heard his name, and her eyes widened. " Oh." She squeaked. Oh, there was no mistaking that now. This was...this had to be the General that messed Boss man up. Grim reaper attire, the name, the only thing he was missing was the weapon--- and that could come out at anytime. "Well---um---You---Ah----" She stammered, cleared her throat, and tried again. "Wh-what did you have in mind? For---something better?"

"Ah, pity," he sighed, shaking his head with an expression that implied it was her loss.
Her reaction was unexpected and he tilted his head as she visibly paled when he told her his name. "Oh, has the little sailor heard of me then?" That was interesting. He'd dealt with more than his fair share of senshi and knights, but few knew his name before dealing with him personally.
"Did someone tell you or it's it a - " a pause while he considered his word choice for the memories of a timeline that no longer existed "- false memory. I don't recognize you." He knew there were still memories that remained locked from that timeline.
Still. Sedna looked like a woman who'd been told a ghost story and found herself confronted with the villain.
"Do tell me, who's been speaking of me and what have you heard of me?"

Sedna looked nothing short of withered, and cursed her transparent face. Why couldn't she have a really cool and good poker face? Or at least the ability to hide anything being a placid smile or something. Lying just wasn't an option (it never really was), so all she could do was be honest. "Um---y-yeah---" She paused for a moment, "A false memory?" She echoed, her tone very inquisitive, but she looked ready to writhe when asked how she knew him exactly. "A---a friend---who you---um---impaired for...a bit---he um---needed a cane to help him get around---" Sedna poited her fingers together a bit. "With your---uh---scythe---" She then cringed a bit, as if mentioning it would suddenly summon it.

"You know," he said slowly, head tilting and eyes glancing up to the sky, "that's not very descriptive. I'm going to need you to do better." Warning laced the word when sharp eyes shifted, locked on the pale haired woman's face.
He did always enjoy watching people squirm either as a result of his presence or simply beneath the weight of his gaze.
"My scythe?" He extended an arm, glanced at the empty gloved palm. "Would you like to see it? It's quite lovely. Very formidable."

Of course he wouldn't be content with a detail lacking explanation. Sedna's heart beat erratically, and she wished fervently that Beringia was here...even if he was still just...low level. She hadn't even been looking for trouble this time! Trouble had found her. She felt like her chest was too tight, and she reminded herself to take a deep breath---which she did. After all---telling more wasn't really an option---she wasn't going to sing like a canary about her friends---to the bad guys---and what was the worst that could happen? He could kill her. Right. Sedna audibly sucked in another breath, held it, and then exhaled noisily. "Yeah." She replied, her glazed expression coming back into focus as she looked at the General. "I would, actually." She shot him a somewhat shaky fox eyed grin.

Sedna had moxie, he'd give her that, when she didn't offer the information he wanted. The diversion was subtle, but did not go unnoticed. Still, Labyrinthite went along with it for now, there would be time for information extraction later.
After all, his scythe could be very convincing.
He made a show of it; summoning his scythe. His left, gloved hand extended out, splayed open when he cocked his head. It seemed to blink into existence then back out before it formed in his hand and his fingers closed around the bone staff. When the base hit the roof a loud thunk! echoed across the area. The tip of the blade was pointed toward her, imposing on what little space remained between them, dark metal glistening in the moonlight.
It was large, clearly heavy and yet -
Labyrinthite held it firmly, confidently in a single hand.
"Sharp enough to sever limbs with little effort," he told her.

There was no masking her feelings. Sedna's eyes widened at the appearance of the weapon, and yeah. It looked nothing short of sinister. Her expression turned dismayed. Why did the Negaverse seem to get all the perks in the power department? Her magic, in all honestly, seemed piddly compared to stuff like this. "Oh, I don't doubt it." She replied, swallowing audibly and grinning. "Little effort either---but it'd still take you a few seconds, I think---to pull it back to swing with enough force to sever something." She hoped. She was counting on it if he was going to swing, and if she needed to fall off this building. "I think you can respect I'm not gonna sing like a canary for you, Labyrinthite---I don't think you would either, were you against a wall---no, a ledge and a sharp object, either! So---uh---can we go back to having a nice chat about something else?"

"Perhaps," the man replied, head cocking as he regarded his blade then the distance between him and the senshi. "Would you like to test that Sedna?" It was unclear if his offer was serious or not, but he looked confident regardless.
"It's a shame that you seem adamant at refusing a simple exchange of information." He sounded disappointment, but his expression darkened at the use of just his name and not his title. "General Labyrinthite. It'd serve you well to remember that. Respect goes a long way." Respecting someone else was the closest he got to really caring these days. "Though, I appreciate your moxie."
The woman had guts and he respected that. Enough to let the weapon vanish back into subspace, knowing he could resummon it in the blink of the eye.
But the general also had never needed his weapon to fight or kill. His hands, legs, body were enough for that. "What do you propose we chat about instead?"
