He'd sent Dawson a text. The other hunter was finally back from his mission and had had time for a bit of rest and relaxation. Horace couldn't think of anything more relaxing than a spar. Besides, it'd be fun to spar against Dawson - he'd seen how the shield worked during their last mission together. Horace settled down, cross-legged on the training field. If Dawson decided against it, he'd go bother of the people solo training nearby.

Always happy to be busy with something to do, especially with a friend, Horace only had to wait a short while before the Moon appeared. Today's cap: i]With Great Beard Comes Great Responsibility, with an appropriate image accompanying.

"I'm storin' up energy so I can beat your a**," he said with a grin. Horace popped up to his feet, summoning Jannisari onto his arms as he went. He rolled shoulders and neck. The way Jannisari's bone-like structure shifted with his movements always felt a little strange. Shouldn't he be used to it by now? He jerked a thumb at Dawson's head. "Nice hat. And what responsibility comes with a beard exactly?"

"Well, keepin' it, a'course!" As the shield appeared strapped to one arm, the other was raised so he could stroke his beard proudly. "You think that's easy, what with the stress n' random dangers lurkin' about? N' don' get me started with how it goes on the ladies~"

"Random beard danger? And what the hell does that consist of?" Horace summoned and began to move forward, looking for weak points in Dawson's shield. But Dawson's use of the word tickle threw him completely off. He stopped short. " Tickle? Oh my god you sound like an old southern lady, Daws." He laughed, imagining the other man, beard and all, dressed like a southern belle. HP: 50/50 DMG: 0 CHG: 0/3

Horace got a small sucker punch for his tease, though Dawson snickered nonetheless.
"Oh, s**t you wouldn' care for 'cause yer smooth's a river rock," he said. "Fire breathin' dragons, knife happy people, lettin' yer drink outta sight at the labs n' gulpin' down God knows what they make fer experimentin'. Man's gotta take care a'his looks, know what I'm sayin'?"

While not truly insulted, Dawson acted the part as he huffed and swung his shield around.
"You so much as breathe on these bristles, n' I'll turn those prongs a'yers inta salad tossers," he threatened. "I ain' gonna stop growin' it 'til I could pass fer a dwarf extra."

Horace stumbled back as Dawson's shield clipped him neatly in the chin. He raised a hand, rubbing at the spot. If not for his increased healing, he'd have a shitty bruise there. "You gonna hide s**t in it? Like kind of extra pocket." He grinned, thinking of Dawson trying to use it to store things almost magically. Like a squirrel with nuts. His next blow was kind of light, but, to be honest, it was kind of hard to beat up Daws. HP: 41/50 DMG: 4 CHG: 2/3
