Mircea looked around as he finally entered the firekin lands. Today he was here to duel one of it's members and hopefully he could join. He was tired of wandering and wanted to join a pride. He had heard a lot about the firekin and although not all of it was good, it still seemed to be the best choice for him.

He looked around. He had hoped that he wouldn't get too violent of an opponent at least, even if he lost.

The white Huntress was looking out over the sand. Not exactly doing her job, but there wasn't a limit as to how much time she could spend out hunting, especially in the desert, where game was not overly abundant. However, there was a flaw in the wind-blown patterns. A blackness. As it came closer, the shape resolved itself into a lion. His markings were unfamiliar, though his colors were appropriate, if utterly opposite Eish's own.

"You are here to duel?" she asked, mild curiosity in her voice. He looked somewhat lost, which was not a great first impression.

Mircea noticed the white lioness. Her light fur made her hard to make out against the desert sand. He tried not to show it though. He nodded at her question, hopefully not looking too nervous. He hadn't really ever fought anyone seriously before, maybe a hippo or two when he had the bad luck to get one of them angry. Also he didn't know if there were any other rules for dueling in this pride, so hopefully he wouldn't be doing anything wrong.

"Yes, if you're willing." He steadied himself getting into a fighting position.

Unfortunately, since he wasn't trained that well, he was quite unprepared to attack and only managed to lightly swipe at the lioness.

For an initial attack it was...less than impressive. Eish was no Soldier, but she was Firekin born and bred. Still, she offered a friendly smile in response to the attack before launching her own.

"Well, at least you're willing to attack, that's something," she told him, offering a feint of her own. This blow was not meant to connect at all, simply to see how he'd react to it. She didn't always like to connect at first.

Mircea dodged her attack, wondering if that would count as a flinch. He kept his eye on her, knowing that he might be in trouble if he let her attack his back. He managed to get away and get ready for another attack, swiping at her face with his claws in.

He believed he connected, though he wasn't sure.

The paw hit her face hard enough that Eish saw stars for a moment - not at all a bad thing. But even if she was having trouble focusing her eyes for the time being, that didn't mean she was defenseless. And that paw as tantalizingly close.

So she bit at it.

How she could miss a paw that was RIGHT THERE was rather impressive. Her teeth snapped loudly as she swallowed only air. Frustrating, yes, but the surge of anger helped to clear the lioness' vision and she refocused on her opponent.

He was gaining a bit more confidence now, this was starting to be a bit fun, even if there was something riding on this.

He was good with is paws, deciding to swipe at her again, hoping to push her back a bit, though he only seemed to move her head to the side with a bit of force.

This hit was not nearly as bad as the on previous. Meaning she didn't see stars. Which was not a bad thing. Eish was a Huntress, she didn't go in for the same intense training that the military encouraged.

However, she wasn't going to allow her challenger to further control this duel. The white lioness' next attack was something completely different. She charged him. A full frontal assault, with her head down to ram him in the chest, if she hit her target.

Mircea hadn't expected the frontal assault, especially to his chest. Getting rammed there made him lose his breath for a bit and he staggered back a bit. However, he knew he couldn't take a pause to get his breathing in order again, and so gathered himself to attack again.

This time he decided to try and ram her too, though unfortunately he just seemed to push her back a bit.

The blow was well-placed, she had to admit it, but the lion hadn't put enough force into it to really disable Eish the way he had with the paw to the face earlier. Not bad, just not nearly as good as it could've been. Potential. That's what he had.

So the Huntress aimed a side-swipe at his head. Maybe she'd be able to distract him. But her own head hurt from ramming it into the male's chest and her aim wasn't what it could be. Damn.

Mircea was getting tired now, which was kind of pathetic, even to him. He clearly needed more training. Hopefully though if he was able to win he would get the training he needed here.

Because he was so tired he only had enough energy to bump the lioness a bit with his head. Probably doing nothing to her considering.

The black male clearly needed more stamina. His blows had gotten progressively weaker as the duel wore on him, which was a shame. Idly, Eish wondered how he'd gotten through the desert alive. He must've been insanely lucky.

Well, since his head was so conveniently in reach, the white lioness brought her paw down on his nose. Hard. It wasn't the worst blow she could've dealt - not by a long shot, but she deemed it more than enough to finish this duel.

Mircea's nose hurt. That was quite the hit. He was finally done though and moved a bit away from the lioness and tried to catch his breath. It hadn't been the best of duels, and he knew that he was probably pretty bad compared to one who had grown up in the firekin, but he put up the best he could right now.

"I'm... I'm done." Hopefully the lioness wouldn't attack him again.

"So soon?" the lioness asked, still friendly. "That's a shame. You'll have to work on that you know. They don't like it when you don't improve," she told him, turning back towards the pride and starting to walk in that direction. Then the Huntress stopped and turned back towards her opponent.

"You're coming, right? It's your home now, you know," Eish informed the lion with a grin. She did like telling lions that they'd done well enough to make it into the Motoujamii-Simo. It was a good feeling.
