The Moeru Yoake no Junjo herd had made a trip through the roaming territory they covered and when released from duty, Tomoe found himself back in a familiar spot. He had figured it would happen since they frequented certain areas often. His own wandering paws brought him back to the pond where he could slip into the water and wash debris from his large wings. His long black mane and tail floated on top of the water like long dark tendrils seeking out something to pull under. He stretched out his wings, shifting them under the cool water then flapping them a little. When he pulled them up they would stretch further then most soquili with wings, towering above his head if pulled up high enough. But with big wings came some weight to them. He lowered them under the surface of the water again and stood quietly in a calm state.
Today had been relatively good. His brothers hadn't pestered him to be who he wasn't and a certain mare had been distracted so she didn't pounce his back once. His head lowered to the water, the one rainbow strand falling past his face into the water to join the black strands. Before dunking his head, Tomoe noticed a new ripple in the water and when his gaze followed it he found the one who caused it. That familiar mare. The one he had.. sort of met last time he had come here. Last he checked this area wasn't exactly claimed as a herd territory. He contemplated saying something, weighing in his mind his options. Last time he was neither overly rude or polite and she had backed off without much complaint. One of his brothers would probably call this fate and it would be just like Tomoe to shove fate out the door for bothering him.
From his spot in the water he could see a thin trail of red seeping out away from the mare's leg. He wasn't a healer himself but he knew enough to stop bleeding. He slowly pulled himself through the water onto the bank where she stood, water dripping off of him like heavy rain. He padded over to a tree and hopped up putting his front paws on the trunk and stretched to grab one of the large leaves. Pushing off, he returned to where the mare stood. "Get out of the water" He stated around the leaf between his teeth. Sure it wasn't a nice tone he used, but he hoped she wouldn't ignore him or be rude in turn as it wouldn't really help her at all.
