After a good feline stretch, the grey cashmere cat yawned and glanced around himself. He had, once again, taken a short little nap on the hood of one of he parked cars in DC. This time of year, with the sun beating down just a little bit stronger, the vehicles made a perfect spot to warm up and relax. For the most part he usually remained undisturbed. Occasionally a kid may bother him or the owner of whatever vehicle he had chosen, but normally he'd hop on off and pick a new hood to perch himself on. Today though the weather was beautiful and Magnus was not willing to slumber the day completely away. He had an itch to do some exploring somewhere to see what he could find. Vacating the red, and slightly run down, car he had slumbered on, the guardian padded his way down the sidewalk with fluffy tail held high. A few people who passed him eyes him with curiosity but didn't bother to approach which Magnus was more than happy with. He was on a mission! Now, where do I want to go. He mused to himself as he stopped at an intersection and glanced around. He wasn't exactly sure where[]/i] he wanted to go. The park would be lovely on such a day but at the same time not anywhere near as exciting as say, exploring a building or squeezing himself into places he probably shouldn't be.
And that's when he remembered the old run down building he had passed the other day. {i]Perfect! I am sure there has to be fun things in there to find. With a feline grin, Magnus turned and ran down a nearby alley that, if he remember correctly, would take him towards the building he remembered.

The weather outside had looked to be lovely and certainly too nice to spend indoors - which was how Liryn had come to be trotting outdoors.
To be honest the small tabby bobtailed mauvian didn't have any real destination in mind, although it wasn't as if he really needed one because he was quite happy looking for things to poke into or for items that could be potentially useful for future tinkering projects.
To that end Liryn had been cheerfully wandering down one of the city's side walks when he picked up on the aura.
It was small - just a flicker of warmth - and so it was hard to be certain, however if nothing else it was certainly worth a check out.

Magnus slipped out of the alleyway he had darted into it. It was then he felt a small aura. A faint flicker that caused him to pause in his steps and look around. Blue eyes darted from person to person as people walked past him. In particular a young boy nearly stepped on him and Magnus had to dart out of the way to avoid the swift kick of a shoe. He didn't see anyone though that the flicker would have come form though so he began padding down the sidewalk, eyes more aware of what's going on around him. In fact, as he proceeded down the sidewalk he felt the aura again, this time stronger and he paused again looking around with intent. It was then that his eyes fell upon another feline, another Mauvian, and Magnus lit up. Not wasting time, Magnus darted over to the other Guardian, tail held high in excitement. Unfortunately with the amount of people around he couldn't exactly start talking right there so instead he mewed at the other feline before nodding his head towards a tiny opening that stood between two buildings. It was just large enough for the two felines to slip into and Magnus did just that hoping the other Mauvian would follow.

Liryn had continued to sense the flicker of barely-there warmth as he made his way down the side walk and so instead of playing the cute cat-cat game in an attempt to try and solicite scritches as he might have done on another day, the small tabby bobtail mauvian had instead followed the aura as he had dodged the feet of the occasional person who got a little too close.
It was hard to tell who spotted who first as he suddenly came across a fellow mauvian and one who - unlike the cat with the blue-grey coat - had an aura that felt warm despite the barely there nature of it...
But whether he spotted the other first or the other spotted him first the end result was the same - a fellow mauvian - albeit one that looked vaguely familiar, although he couldn't quite put a paw on why.
Now wasn't really the place to ask or ponder however - not with all the people around and so Liryn had no qualms in following the other towards the small opening that he had mewingly indicated, dodging a couple of pairs of feet as he darted across before wriggling into the gap.
It seemed safe enough and he wasn't picking up on any auras and so once there he turned his purplish eyes towards the other mauvian as he said a quiet but cheerful "Hi."

Magnus beamed at the other feline, fluffy tail twitching merrily at his feet as he sat himself down on the cement. "I thought you looked familiar!" Magnus said pleasantly as a greeting. "I have to admit I wasn't expecting to run into you so soon again." Eyeing the other Guardian Magnus sat smugly. "Do you remember me at all? I mean, we didn't exchange names or anything last time we met. There really wasn't much time for pleasantries. Might as well fix that now, I am Magnus." He offered his name without pause before continuing on. "I have to admit I am a bit jealous of your ability to go two legged." He chuckled and winked good naturedly, wondering if he was giving the other feline any sort of hints as to where they had encountered on another. Magnus enjoyed a good game, and sitting here playing a game of guess was right up his alley. He was curious if it would take more hints or had he given enough? Either way, Magnus was patient and willing to wait to see if the other Guardian would get it.

It seemed that the familiarity was two-sided, although Liryn still couldn't quite put a paw on why the silver-grey mauvian with the darker grey and black rosettes looked familiar.
It was one of the things that felt like it was on the tip on his mind and was a little annoying since it felt like he ought know.
"You look familiar too" he admitted "Although I'm not too sure from where," he thought on it, a musing note in his voice as he added "Not cat HQ" because it was a while since he had had the chance to go there.
"Anyway it's nice to meet you too I'm Liryn" he laughed cheerfully "And the bigger form is useful although it's a relatively recent thing for me. Some of the others of us can do it too." The cheerful note in his voice turned thoughtful "Although it also increases the strength of their auras significantly which makes it like the kitty beam in not something for every-time as I can only also assume it does the same for mine."

Magnus waited and once Liryn called defeat he chuckled. "We briefly ran into each other at that creepy wonder. The one with all the bones. I remembered seeing you before you went off in your bigger form to inspect things." Magnus was proud of himself for remembering such details, after all, that whole adventure had been bizarre in many ways. "I am Magnus." He offered as Liryn introduced himself. "I have to admit it does look terribly convenient even if it does happen to have a larger aura. There are certainly times I can think that having thumbs would be quite useful." Like when he wanted to open doors, or carry things without having to shove everything into his mouth or push along with paws and nose. OK, maybe that would be abusing the form, but still it was nice to dream about the possibilities. Noting that the space he had led them into did a fairly good job of hiding then, Magnus was also aware that standing there meant he wasn't getting to his goal location to do some treasure hunting. Flicking his tail he peered at Liryn, wondering if maybe the other Guardian would be interested in joining him. Surely a bit of adventure would be fun, especially if there two of them. "I was heading over to check out an old building I saw earlier. There's something fun about poking around in places like that. You never know what sorts of baubles and treasures you can find. Curious enough to join me? It's not too terribly far from here."

The silver-grey furred mauvian's words were enough to jog his memory "Oh I remember now" he admitted "I think someone called it Scholomance" or at least he was pretty sure he had someone mention the name "It had that skeleton."
His cheerful voice turned musing "I wonder what happened with it."
Liryn had ended up being pushed back to Earth and Destiny City before he had been able to find out the end result, but it hadn't stopped him from wondering because it wasn't every day that one saw a self-assembling skeleton - not even with the oddities of magic.
"And it's nice to meet you Magnus" he thought about it before adding "Well meet you properly" because that brief time in the bone place didn't really count "And yes I'd love to join you - I'm always up for a good poke about."

"I think you may be right. Scholomance sounds familiar." He thought back to that strange occurence before nodding. "Yes, I am pretty sure that was it. Certainly not the more inviting of Wonders I have to admit."
Tilting his head Magnus sighed. "I don't know. I am sure we could possibly find out if we run into anyone who was there. Or, if we're lucky enough to run into the Knight himself."
Like Liryn, Magnus had been pushed back to Earth without any inkling of the fate of the wonder and it's knight. Or anyone else who had been there actually. It was still a mystery that needed to be solved and one Magnus hoped he'd be able to find answers to eventually.
"Same! It's nice to meet another Guardian." As Liryn pronounced his interest in going on an adventure, Magnus stretched out his long body before turning back the direction they had come. "Follow me then. It should be an interesting place to check out."
With a grin, Magnus shimmied his way out of the crevice they had entered and padded back out onto the sidewalk. A few people walked by but none paid the felines any attention as Magnus led the way to the abandoned building. It was only a few blocks away before they finally came across the building in question.
The unkempt side-walk that had weeds growing out of it's joints, broken windows, and just a rather beaten down facade was a good indicator that the old brick building was where Magnus had been heading. It was set a bit away from the sidewalk itself, but the grassy area between the sidewalk and it was over run and barred by a chain-link gate. Of course, for two felines, a gate was easy enough to slip through, which Magnus did without hesitation.
He paused on the other side, and looked back at Liryn. "What do you think? Possibly find something fun inside?"

"Have you been to very many Wonders?" Liryn asked curiously.
Liryn hadn't personally - in fact apart from the Wonder that may or may not have been called Scholomance - the only other Wonder he had been to was Avalon.
He'd been to slightly more home worlds, although not to nearly as much as he would have liked.
Hearing about it second hand was almost as good though..
Almost.
Because eventually Liryn planned to wrangle more trips to senshi home worlds and Knight Wonders.
There were a few people out and about as he followed in Magnus' lead in slipping out from between the gap between the two buildings and then down the sidewalk, however none of them seemed like they were paying them any mind and it was easy enough to play dodge the feet when the odd one strayed a little too close.
It didn't take long to reach the building that Magnus had mentioned, with a locked chain link gate blocking access...
Well at least to those who weren't cats, given that it didn't provide any real barrier to either himself or to Magnus.
He eyed the building as he padded a few steps in its direction, his head half-turned towards Magnus as he said cheerfully "Perhaps and even if not then I'm sure that we'll find something useful."
Such as pieces for the next tinkering project.

Magnus shook his head. "No. That one was my first, actually. A bit of a scary Wonder to encounter for my first venture off planet, eh?" He chuckled. "It's a good thing I enjoy a good adventure, scary or not.How about you? Been to many Wonders or Homeworlds?" He questioned.
He led the way up to the building and glanced around. "We'll have to find an easy way in." He noted that the windows seemed just a bit too far from the ground for them to attempt to jump into. Plus, with the amount of glass laying around he wasn't sure he wanted to test his poor toe beans for their ability to avoid being cut by stray glass. "Just part of the fun of exploring right?" He grinned as he began to pad around the perimeter of the building in hopes of finding an easy way in.
"So, do you have yourself a senshi of your own? Or are you like me and unattached?" Magnus was a curious creature by nature and enjoyed finding out information about others.

"I've been to a few," Liryn said as he mentally ticked places off a list "Mainly Athene."
He followed after the other mauvian as he admitted "Although I haven't been to nearly enough places." Because there were so many wonders and home worlds out there.
His purplish eyes took in the scattered glass and the windows for a few moments before he padded after Magnus. "Perhaps there'll be something for us to squeeze through like a crack or something" he mused thoughtfully as he glanced around for a more feline friendly means of access. "And I do have a few senshi, because whilst he was attached to Athene, it didn't mean that he considered the other senshi any less his.Kolina Apologies for taking so long to tag this Kol
