Daily Life
For the most part, the West leads a quiet lifestyle. Hunters are organized into parties and given set shifts to go hunting with a guard accompanying them. Guards take shifts throughout the day, and can do what they'd like when not on the clock. Artisans constantly work, and there's a bazaar that is open daily.
It is common to see the Lord and Lady's family mingling with the house, if only because there's so many of them!
The day is ended with a song from a bard or performer, notifying the house that it is time to retire work for the day and mingle together for the rest of the evening.
Autumn Arts Festival
Every autumn the West house throws a festival for the entire pride to celebrate the arts (fine and performing!). Feasting, demonstrations, parties, and performances carry on for over three days.
Marriage and Cubs
Marriage is something that is always encouraged within Tianxia, and in the West its no different. If the parties prefer, they can meet with the Lord and Lady to bless their wedding. Normally they meet with the Chamberlain to handle the ceremony. Each party will normally exchange bits of jewelry in the ceremony.
In the West, one doesn't necessarily need to be married to have cubs. As long as all parties are agreed to the situation, action will not be taken. If a situation becomes conflicted, the Lord and Lady will step in and make decisions for the parents. The nannies in the pride are there for anyone who may need help raising a litter.

The ranks below make up what is called the 'career' of an artisan. Which means they all stem from this basic rank!
You may note that this one is a bit different from others. This is because the life of an artist is based a lot on fame and popularity, rather than actual titles. There are several arts-related ranks, and SoA in them can become more popular, which can elevate their class!
Popular - A popular artist is well known within his or her house, a local celebrity. Also possibly somewhat heard of among other artists of the same specialty throughout the pride.
Famous - A famous artist is well known throughout the pride, and is often talked about and heard of throughout Tianxia.
Reminder: The ranks below require that the SoA be a member of the West House to obtain. However, once the title is reached they can move to any of the other Houses and maintain the title, so long as the position is available! You may apply for a rank and a House change at the same time, working under the assumption the SoA moved soon after being promoted.
Storyteller middle classAn important part of Tianxia, culturally speaking. These aren't just individuals who tell bedtime stories to children. Storytellers do precisely that, tell stories, but there is some skill and hard work involved. Storytellers will often tell very complex stories, even long epics that can't be told in one sitting. Truly, they can work in a variety of ways with many styles. There can be many styles, some focusing on comedy, fantasy, and even horror. These are, practically speaking, authors! A good storyteller can draw in crowds, eager to listen to their stories. Storytellers may even travel for the sake of inspiration and experience, or even to learn stories from all around the world.

Bard middle classSimilar to storytellers, bards may often tell narratives of their own. What differentiates the two is the very distinct style. Bards usually speak far more lyrically, more often relying on rhymes. They're more poetic, so to speak. Other bards may not even bother with telling long stories, and often simply rely on music, singing about their feelings, or just whatever they wish to. Like storytellers, a good bard may draw in a crowd, or go on trips in order to learn or gain experience and inspiration. Musical bards are usually singers, with those specialized in instruments quite rare. Still, it is not entirely unheard of.

Famous Bard high class

Performer middle classThis rank is a bit of a fusion of the career of an actor and a dancer. Dancers do just what would be imagined, performing by using their bodies as a means of expression. Actors are more common, and typically more popular. These SoA will usually perform skits, or even full-on plays to amuse crowds. Actors usually work in small troupes, but some perform on their own, either interpreting several roles by themselves or via monologues, quite similar to storytellers. It is not unheard of for actors to work with storytellers in order to come up with a good play.

Crafter middle classThese are SoA who rely on their dexterity for their art. They work most often with wood, stone, and pelts to create items for others to wear, or even sometimes simple decorations, for those who want something pretty to look out. Some occasionally work with rudimentary sculpting. It is not unheard of for a crafter to specialize in other materials like bones, for example. Crafters usually spend quite some time searching for proper material for their work, seeing as some enjoy using special stones.

Painter middle classThe ability to paint is valued in Tianxia, as it can be quite beautiful. Painters know how to mix things they find, such as berries, to create paint and then use it to decorate, really, whatever they please. Often they are hired to decorate dens, or nearby trees and rocks, and sometimes even the fur of those who wish it! Painters, like crafters, often need to go about looking for the right materials and enjoy trying to create new colors.
