❥ CASTOR _________________________________
Castor had been confronted with some family matters of his own. Zeeke, his merchant uncle had come bearing some important news from their herd leader, Neria. His services would be required however they would not go unrewarded and Zeeke had brought the first instalment of his pay with him, his cart overflowing with goodies and upon rummaging through the overflowing pile of fabric, he found that some hidden treasures were among them as well. Castor's cheeks puffed out in to circles as he inhaled a deep breath and once the air pockets were filled, he immediately let the breath seep from his lips.
"This-" He started. "This is beyond generous. I can't accept this." He shook his head, his bangs following the motion. "My help is always free, you should know this, we are family." He eyed Zeeke with a pointed stare.
Zeeke's lips spread in to a wide grin, he grunted and shrugged his shoulders. "Consider it a gift, then. It is up to you, Castor. I'm not going to make you take them." He waited for Castor to reply and watched as the cosmic stallion's eyes danced in awe over the wares. Of course he was going to take them! False modesty wasn't going to get him any where.
Castor sat in the silence for a short while pondering over his decision, this didn't take long and with a nod of his head, it was done. The two unpacked the cart, spreading the heaps of fabric across Castor's work station and once they had finished, they said their farewells to one another and the merchant was on his way once more. Castor turned his attention back to the fabrics, sneakily peering over his shoulder to make sure that his Uncle had vanished from sight and once he was reassured he wasn't within ear shot either, he screeched a high pitch squeal of joy.
Jumping from one mountain of fabric to the next, he plucked individual pieces and tossed them over the nearest and lowest tree branch, which would be reserved for his darling dear when she arrived. He would only allow the best fabrics to be worn by his one and only, nothing else would do!
