Skype Log Lilja panted softly after finishing her soccer practice with her team. Any sport was fantastic to the young grimm girl but she absolutely loved soccer! Her packmates and other friends tease her because she was the top scorer on their futbol team but she was the only one out of her group that had never had a partner.
Lilja used her sweat wristband to wipe the sweat from his forehead before stretching and heading to the locker room to quickly shower and get dressed. She then took off down the hallway, her stomach ferociously growling at her as she made her way to the cafeteria.
Crispin's ears were attentive as he waited for the basketball to come his way. Quickly darting forward, the teen's wide confident grin stretched his lips as he snatched the ball away from the opposing team. Dribbling carefully, the young grimm felt a rush of excitement as he darted off with the ball, making sure to dribble with each step.
Passing the ball before it could be snatched from him, he was pleased to see the efforts of teamwork pay off as the ball landed securely in the net. The sound of the buzzer went off, earning a yelp of triumph from Crispin, and his team. He loved all sports, football and basketball however were his favorite.
Wiping his brow off, he thanked everyone before heading to hit the showers. Once done, he pulled his medium length hair back and redressed into his clothes. Once the sleeves were rolled up, and his bag was slung over his shoulder Crispin rubbed his growling stomach. "Yea, I know I'm going." He chuckled, an amused look on the teens face.
While he wondered what his twin was up to, he mostly kept to himself. Crispin wasn't particular popular, and he wasn't currently seeing anyone, nor had anyone in mind. It seemed strange to think he had no partner or friend close enough. Yet Crispin just felt like he hadn't met the right someone yet was all. Shrugging off the feeling that he'd be eating alone without his packmates, he lifted his chin up as he scanned the cafeteria. "Hmm..I smell cheeseburgers.." He mumbled as he hopped in line, clawed paws pushing into his jacket as he waited.
Lilja plopped down at a table, pulling her lunch from her backpack. She was an early riser and always made sure she had lunch packed for the day. With a smile, she began to eat her sandwich. Of course she had a protein rich diet so her sandwich mostly consisted of meat!
After eating her sandwich, Lilja pulled out some veggies to munch on while she did some homework.
Once it was his turn in line, he paid for his lunch and proceed to select what amounted to a triple cheeseburger, fries, and two helpings of veggies. Cris had forgotten to grab the lunch he'd packed the other night, but it was no matter. The grimm would likely just eat the rest after school anyway. With his tray in hand, he padded away, with the intent of finding somewhere to sit.
His eyes scanned the lunch room, and for a moment he paused seeing a shock of red hair against pale fur. He'd seen her before on the soccer feild, although Crispin did not recall directly meeting her. His lips pursed slightly, debating going to sit alone..or inquire about sitting at her table.
"Hey, mind if I take a seat? Or is this one taken?" He asked with a calm smile on his face, the grimm's brow raised at his inquiry as he stood just out of arms reach. Cris noted she was working on Homework, and of the paper he had to write for class still.
Lilja was nose deep into her assignment when she heard someone in the distance. Or so she thought he was in the distance. She looked up and jumped a bit in her seat. "Oh! Hello! I didn't realize you were so close!" She laughed a bit, moving some of her belongings, "Sure, have a seat." She said with a big smile. "I was just doing some homework while I ate lunch. I don't have much time to get my homework done usually so I try to fit it in whenever I can." She moved to put her books away, smiling to the other.
"So, what brings Crispin at my table today?" She asked curiously, looking around to see that there were other tables open. "I don't mind. I'm just nosey." She admitted.
Crispin waited patiently, for a moment he thought she hadn't even heard him given she'd been so engrossed in her food and work. However after her startled moment of surprise, the other junior seemed alright with the request much to his relief. "Heya." He smiled genuinely, a little sheepish given she'd been startled by his presence and inquiry. When she made room for him, the other wintery white colored grimm sat down beside her, settling his tray and placing his bag by his feet so not to take up to much space. He couldn't help smiling, her enthusiastic nature was admittedly infectious.
While a frown usually creased the boys lips, he found it was easy to chat with the smiling girl. "Didn't see my bro, and figured I'd try and shake things up and sit with someone new. I've only met you in passing Lilja, so I hope you meant that eh?" Crispin chuckled at her not minding, he didn't mind her being nosey either really. The grimm picked at his food initially, fishing out a note book to jot down ideas for his paper. "Plus. I was hoping you didn't mind. I mean, I've seen you play on the field you're amazing with a soccer ball." He complimented, his flopped ear perking slightly as he glanced at her, then back at his paper to jot down a few things.
"Homework, school activities...and time for socializing it's a lot! But it's good to be busy." He admitted after a moment, agreeing with her about doing work whenever he had time to fit it in.
Lilja wiped her mouth with her napkin, smiling more. "Oh? You know me?" She seemed surprised, flushing a bit. "Oh thanks! I practice a lot with my team. I'm hoping to get a scholarship. Looks pretty good for me there." She looked down almost shyly. "What about you? How's basketball?" She asked curiously.
Crispin contemplated how to respond, chewing on a french fry as he did. His tail flicked behind him thoughtfully, brows knitting slightly. "Yeah I've never met you directly or anything..but I think we might have a class together." He murmured slightly rubbing his neck faintly. He didn't actually have that many friends, he kept to himself more than anything. Yet as he got older, Crispin had decided to try and push himself out of his shell.
Noting her flush he looked at her slightly apologetic not having meant to embarrass her. "Woah a scholarship? I hope you do!" He beamed then, a bit of a toothy, almost silly smile of excitement for her. "That'd be pretty awesome, and uh." He thought about that, a smile forming on his face.
"I might get moved up to point gaurd..Coach was telling me I'm pretty good at directing stuff and calling out plays to coordinate the offense. I'm good with dribbling and passing, so I dunno. I'll find out tomorrow." It was his turn to flush slightly. He might have passed on the role of Alpha as a younger boy, but Crispin still enjoyed leading his teammates, he just liked to see his guys and gals come out ahead.
"I should look into scholarships, it'd be good for the police degree I want." He looked at her gratefully, the idea hadn't occurred to him until she'd brought the topic up.
"Oh! That's great! I hope you get the spot!" Lilja told him with excitement. "Maybe I should watch your team play. I bet it'll be fun to watch. I haven't played basketball in a long time. I usually get drag into volleyball, baseball and soccer." She explained, tapping a claw onto her chin thoughtfully.
Her attention switched back to him as she heard what he wanted to do when he was graduated. "Oh neat! You want to be a policeman?" She asked, smiling brightly. "I'm in between letting sports be my career or teaching a pe class for a sport... Like soccer." She explained
Crispin thanked her quietly, he hoped both of them got what they wanted going forward. She seemed so talented! "Ah okay! That makes sense why we haven't had any real teams together." He commented thoughtfully, amused she liked baseball as well.
"I haven't played soccer or baseball in a bit, but I love it. I usually am doing track or basketball. If you come to one of my games..I'd gladly come to one of yours! I think that'd be rad." The junior replied with genuine warmth, his head perking up a little at her offer as he smiled then. His claws rest against the table, drumming thoughtfully.
His eyes flickered back onto her as she talked about herself and the sports she liked, she seemed like a really active gal. "Yeah for sure, I've wanted to be one since I was a little guy." He admitted sheepishly. "Oh man, either way you couldn't go wrong. Coaching kids is a lot of fun, even if I become an officer I think being one for the season would be fun." He considered with a small shrug. "You'll be great whatever it is you do I'm sure." Crispin concluded as he tore into his cheeseburger before lunch time ran out..and so he'd have a bit more time to talk with the other Grimm.
Lilja smiled brightly, "you think so?" She asked. He sure was nice to say all those things about her being great either way. "Well, your next game is tomorrow? I have a soccer game tonight and a baseball game Saturday." She explained, "I should be able to make it to your game tomorrow." She added thoughtfully as her tail flicked with excitement.
Crispin tilted his head slightly as he listened to her. When she asked about the game for him being tomorrow he nodded in confirmation. He beamed then at her mention of a game tonight. "I'll let my twin know when I see him in class but I'll be there for you tonight." Crispin turned slightly then to face her ears perked with excitement to match his now wagging tail. "Good luck tonight by the way!" He added, slipping out of his seat now that he'd finished his lunch and returned to grab his bag.
"The Bell should be going off soon..but thanks for sharing your time with me." He added with a smile as he shouldered his bag. "I'll see you later tonight?" Crispin offered a clawed paw out to her to shake presumably.
Lilja smiled, "oh! You mean kobe? He's so sweet!" She mentioned, "A lot of my friends have huge crushes on him even though I keep telling them that he has someone in mind." She giggled a bit, covering her mouth with her paw.
"I will see you tonight then." The Grimm smiled, getting up and gathering her things. "Do bring Kobe. It's amusing how some of the girls adore him." She giggled again.
Crispin placed a hand on his hip, amused she knew of his brother. "Yeah, Kobe is my brother." He replied, laughing when she mentioned a lot of girls having a crush on him. He could believe it, his brother had a great attitude and was a happy-go-lucky kind of guy. "Ha, alright." He looked amused, unsurprised to hear the other boy was popular to some degree. When she mentioned having some one in mind, Crispin looked thoughtful but didn't comment. It was likely, but he also didn't keep close tabs on Kobe's love life unless it was a topic both brothers felt like discussing.
The other grimm nodded at the other as he adjusted his bag and went to make his leave for the now. "Alright, I'll invite him for sure. I'm sure he'll love that." He teased, her giggle made him chuckle. He waved to her in parting. He was looking forward to tonight, it wasn't every day he went out of his way to hangout with someone...this felt exciting in his mind anyway.
Tail wagging he left for class, and to go find Kobe to see about him joining for the game tonight, a pep to the boys step that hadn't been there in awhile.
