The evening was turning out like any other typical evening. Esticava, on the excuse that she had to plan their journey as they had no brains to do so themselves, had retired the earliest with a grin across her face. Chardae, being the green boy he was, followed shortly after with a stumble and the telltale signs of a rough morning ahead. Orivato sat stoically for a long time, matching Carminer drink-for-drink, until the eldest brother moved to stand and bid Carminer and good night.
Now, left to his own devices, Carminer meandered over to the main bar, stumbling next to a large specimen of dark skin. He knew shifters, he knew the color that matched the skin was that of the daylight creatures, and his expression was bemused as he looked at the male next to him.
"Do my eyes deceive me, or have I drank my way to the morning hours once more?"

Gyuri turned slowly away from the chat that he was having with the woman behind the counter, and by chat he was mostly listening and nodding, so that he could look at the one that had approched him. He tilted his head as he took in the look on the blond's face before considering his question. It took but a moment before it clicked and Gyuri actually smiled at the thought. So that was what confused him, huh? The fact that Gyuri was phased locked. He'd always looked like he did so it wasn't something that he really thought about unless he was around others with Shifter blood who actually did change color. It was an interesting thing to behold but he couldn't say that he was too broken up about lacking such an ability. Giving a smile he said, "Still night." Best that he let the man know that he hadn't succeeded, yet at least, in drinking his way all the way through the night and into the hours were breakfast might be served. He was still a few hours away from that particular time occurred meaning the man could either continue or head to bed, his choice Gyuri supposed.

Carminer's nose began to crinkle at the response, as he considered himself a well-traveled individual. Since the great wars, many had traversed across the lands, so he caught sight of Obans, Shifters, and even the Matori. He knew enough about a Shifter to know they...well...shifted, so the response baffled his ale riddled mind. However, it was a short lived thought as he glanced to the bar maiden and sent her another flash of a smile before turning back to the curious brute of a man beside him.
"For all the ones I've seen, I can't say a non-shifting Shifter is on my list. Then again, I usually don't spend enough time to see them actually shift, despite my begging them do so..." His words were lightly slurred, yet his posture hinted at a more drunk status than he came off. Maybe he just was able to hold his drink.
He sure enjoyed to talk after all.
"You know, you'd do quite well in a one-on-one against Orivato...it might be a good bet against my brother..."
Great, now he was rambling his thoughts, this was sure to only get worse.

He'd begged a Shifter to shift for him before? Surely he must know that it was something that only happened certain times of day and couldn't exactly be done as a parkour trick, right? Not to mention that surely it must be a little embarrassing for the Shifter being begged such a thing? To have a natural occurrence suddenly be turned into a show, it was something that Gyuri would likely have blushed over were it him. Given that it wasn't, not to mention that he couldn't, he felt the simplest answer would just be for him to point at himself before he said, "Half Zenan." The topic then changed though, with the man suddenly claimed that he'd do 'quite well' in a battle against someone Orivato, which it would seem was the young man's brother? He found himself a touch curious, not that he fought for the amusement of those around him. As it were he merely tended to end fights started by others inside the inn by throwing them bodily out the front door. Other then that Gyuri was a fairly amiable man despite his appearance. The odds of him fighting with the young man's brother were zero to none unless the one called Orivato started to make a mess of the inn, not that he said as much. Given that was far, far too much to explain and just thinking about saying so much made him not want to say anything at all he merely smiled back at the blond. Probably best to just let him talk the big man decided. From what he'd seen since the inn was established the moment someone got drink into them they lost any sort of filter and just chatted. Given he wasn't chatty himself he tended to end up as a good listener instead for such people.

"Ah!" He responded with a chuckle at the revelation of him being half Zenean, "I do see it, now that you mention it."
A chortle filled his chest at the joke, before he took a swing of the ale that was settled in front of him. The berry-like drinks from earlier had really done a number, but even he knew not to test his limits with such a sweet brew. Naturally, his train of thought shifted like the liquid in his glass, and his awareness appeared to be off of the man and his reactions to his words or the discussion.
"Y'know, zenans have a lot of connection with my family...a lot of my family has the mixed blood. It's so normal here, but I've got a cousin who is Talien as well as Sauti. She's a feisty thing, says that the beasts from the war aren't too accepting of her mixed blood. It's weird how the world works...thinks they can be all pure when some of the most beautiful creatures come from a little intermingling.."
Trailing off, Carminer took a bit of a sip before looking at the man once more.
"You make quite an attractive creature yourself, you know. The tall, dark, and handsome thing all the girls swoon over. I'm sure you've gotten quite the attention."

Gyuri gave a smile and a nod, glad that the inebriated guest was able to see it now that he'd mentioned his lineage. He was glad that he understood despite the drinks he'd been enjoying, especially since it did explain why Gyuri was still in the 'dark phase' despite the moon having risen ages ago. Settling down on one of the stools in front of the bar he listened to what the blond was saying about the connections that his family had to the Ice Tribe. It would appear as though mixed bloods were something normal in his family, which was a good thing in Gyuri's mind, it meant that he wasn't going to be seen as some sort of oddity to the young man. "E-Eh?" Quite an attractive creature? Gyuri couldn't help but to flush a little, giving a half shrug at the mention of girls swooning over him. He supposed that was a possibility? He just really hadn't paid all that much attention since, when it came to love, he'd been in love with someone since he'd first set eyes on him. Gyuri's mismatched eyes scanned around the room for a moment, seeking out Borra, starring the musician's direction for a moment, then looked back to Carminer once more. He didn't want to appear as though he was ignoring him after all.

At Gyuri's stutter, Carminer sent him a devil's smirk, though he did not push it any further. While he enjoyed spending time with men in the past, he really preferred the supple curves of a woman over the hard muscle of a man. As the man shrugged, Carminer's grin turned soft as he let out a short laugh.
"Maybe not a bunch, but it seems like you've experienced the attention of at least one!" As he said this, he raised his drink toward Gyuri before nodding toward the bar, "Seems cause enough for a celebration drink, choose whatever you wish as it's on me!"
Curious as it was, Carminer wasn't so certain the man even partook in such frivolities.

Gyuri gave a slow nod of his head, his eyes once more glancing toward Borra. Any attention that he got from him was worth everything to the big man. He'd do anything if it meant that Borra was happy after all, a thought that had a smile appearing on his face before he realized that he was starring. Flushing a bit he turned quickly back to Carminer, giving a glance, before giving him a smile. He was a nice guy, wasn't he? Wanting to celebrate the mere fact that he had love for Borra. It was something that he'd only be too happy to celebrate as well, though he knew wasn't exactly allowed since he was on duty. As such he merely smiled at Eira, who was behind the bar, ordering a simple water from her so that he could at least participate in the celebration of sorts even if he wasn't allowed to drink while on the job. He didn't want to risk his senses getting dulled when it was up to him to protect the staff and guests from any drugs.

The wind man was silently sipping at his drink as he watched the larger hybrid glance about, but he resisted the urge to follow his gaze to where his interest most likely was. Instead, he watched as dark cheeks seemed to grow even darker, before diverting his eyes and smirking into his drink. Well, teasing as fun as it was never was as interesting when someone actually was in love and aware of it. It was more fun to poke at situations that either were false or the individual had yet to realize the truth.
As the water was ordered, Carminer let out a wide spread grin and raised his glass, "To those we adore, who we may one day be fortunate to be blessed by their amorous returns!" As he raised his glass to Gyuri, he sent a saucy wink toward Eira along with a cheeky grin.

Gyuri gave a nod of his head, "That sounds nice." A little embarrassing that he was thinking about Borra blessing him with 'amourous returns' but still, it sounded quite nice, and he wouldn't protest in any way, shape, or form. It was something that made him smile before sipping from the water that he'd ordered from Eira. While he'd of been happy to share a real drink with Carminer it wasn't something he could do presently. Pushing to his feet he turned around, leaning against the bar, so that he could give the crowd before himself a long look. Once he'd taken a tally of everyone present, as well as what it was they were up to, he turned back to Carminer once more. He took a moment to watch him, taking in the manner in which he was flirting with Eira. It was something that the woman didn't seem bothered by, so Gyuri saw no reason to interfere. Now if he were to get out of hand then the big man would have to toss him out on his ear. He only hoped that such a thing didn't come to pass since Carminer seemed nice enough. "Things seem calm tonight." He murmured, glad to see that. It meant less fighting on his part, which allowed him to socialize in his own way. Looking forward once more he waited for Carminer to speak up again.

Carminer was silent for a long moment as he enjoyed his drink, letting Gyuri move about and adjust to face away from the bar. He focused more on Eira in the meantime, wise enough to catch the signs when one needed to take a break from the conversation. It reminded him a bit of his eldest brother, who was the stoic one of the family. When he was done, he took a moment to glance at Gyuri to see his focus back on him, and turned a bit more to get back into the conversation.
"Pity, I always did like a bit of a celebration whenever I drank..." Carminer jested back, "Thankfully that's all I ever see, I'm not the fighting type and I'd rather see dancing than romping..."
Though even that statement was a bit of a stretch, but Carminer kept his mouth shut as he wasn't sure Gyuri would enjoy his playful jest.
"Tell me, my new friends, do you often prefer to sit back and watch instead of participate?"

Gyuri gave a nod of his head, "I prefer dancing as well." If everyone was just dancing and enjoying themselves then that meant that it was a good night, it meant that they wouldn't have to worry about anyone in the inn being hurt or scared by unwanted bar brawls. The fact that their blond guest was of similar mind, not being the fighting type as he put it, made him give a bit of a smile. At the question of whether or not he participated his dark skin colored a touch, "I... don't dance well." He was a big, muscular guy, not the sort that wanted to dance when others were watching. Instead he only danced on occasion with Borra during lessons that Eira gave to them. It was a personal thing, not one that he was eager to show off. "How about you?" He asked, wondering if he were the dancing sort as he wasn't sure about him, save for hearing from Eira that he was a man on a quest to make amazing wine. He hoped that his questions about dancing weren't because he wanted to dance as such a thing was just far too embarrassing!

Well, maybe he needed to drag the man to some dancer's den. He heard of a few along the area, specifically there was rumor of a major one deep in the heart of Oba. It would be a pity if he never got a chance to explore the place in his life. He eyed Gyuri as he colored and spoke of dancing. Clearly the man had a one-track mind and didn't quite follow his own train of thought, although dancing was part of his question. He was actually more curious about why the man wasn't drinking.
"Get enough of a drink in me, and it doesn't matter what anyone thinks...I'm a dancing god." He laughed a bit at the thought as he knew he couldn't dance well. Yet liquid courage
"You seem to not favor the drink much...?"

Gyuri gave a soft laugh at the mention of getting drink in him caused him to become a 'dancing god' and he found himself glancing toward the cup he had, wondering for a moment how much drink it might take for him to become a 'dancing god'. Likely more then just the bit that he'd had so far, right? He wondered if the blond meant to drink enough to become a 'dancing god' tonight. He supposed he'd see soon enough, huh? "Not that I don't favor it." He murmured before he gave a smile and explained, "I'm the bouncer, I can't drink if I want to protect everyone." More words then he'd used for a while, not exactly chatty, but when it came to his job he seemed a touch more chatty. He loved his job after all. Wait... did him becoming a 'dancing god' mean he might become troublesome? It did involve him taking in a whole lot of alcohol after all. He supposed that he'd see soon enough.

Carminer was pleased to hear the laugh, taking a bit of pride in the fact he got the quiet man to do something more than all-but-sulk in the shadows. He took another sip and nodded as Gyuri continued the conversation, his eyes widening as he understood finally why the bulky guy was there. A bouncer? What an interesting thing. He glanced to the side at Eira, and recalled the child from before, wondering if maybe the two were an item. He never got a good look at the kid, but he was certain it favored the mother immensely. Well, he wasn't one to pry, at least not until he was so far gone he wouldn't remember such questions in the morning.
"You sound like my brother. He takes things so seriously, but occasionally will settle when he gets the chance. Hopefully you too find some sort of time to play during all of that work..."
Really, it would be such a disappointment to find someone so dedicated they wouldn't some day enjoy his own drink once it lined the shelves.
