Hobbies: Work: When you work for NASA, it doesn’t matter what department you are in because every day at the office is an adventure! From paperwork to board meetings, grant writings and hours upon hours going over data that could make or break an entire program. Lena might complain but she loves every moment of it. To be part of something this big, she would gladly give more hours if she could. Be warned, once you find out where she works, she might talk your ear off.
Star Gazing: It all goes back to when Lena was a child and stayed up late...on a school night...to watch a meteor shower. From that day on, she has been so enthralled by the heavens above that some joke her neck is going to be stuck in an upright position. Lena doesn't just own one heck of a telescope but also collects trinkets that reflect different bodies of space. Her shelves are lined with books and research papers from all over the world on different topics. Even her cat is named after a NASA item! Needless to say you can find her at night gazing upward.
Improv: In the rare times Lena is not doing something related to work, the young professional highly enjoys going out and doing improv with friends. She had zero fear about getting up on stage, being given a random item and running with it! Believe it or not, she can be quiet creative and believable! Something she loves to do is make others break character awhile she keeps a straight face. Call it a competitive streak.
Virtues: Thorough: Days of reviewing code have instilled a desire within Lena to make sure that everything is done completely. All of her ts are crossed and her i's dotted. Lena doesn't force her habit on others but many people come to her to review their work. Funny thing is that she enjoys it
Independent: Momma didn't raise no fool. Well Momma and Daddy but that just ruins the saying now. Lena's upbringing resulted in her being very driven to make sure she does not have to relay on anyone for the basic needs of living. Lena is a go-getter with a good deal of personal drive. However, she isn't one to shy away from team or group efforts as they are just as important as working solo. Her independence comes more from wanting to be able to stand on her own two feet and look back one day to say 'I did that.'
Flaws: Push People’s Limits: Lena has a lovely habit of when she discovers what a person’s comfort zone is, she is going to push that barrier hard. Getting a rise out of someone amuses her especially if it turns them red. She really is comfortable in her own skin so in a way, she wants others to be as well. Still, sometimes it is just to get people to laugh or loosen up. Sticks in the mud are no fun!
Bossy: Lena has a tendency to come off as...bossy. This doesn't go well when she does have to work with a group because though she sees the value in it, her desire to see everything completed to perfection means that the longer the project goes on, the more snippy and direct she becomes with her 'suggestions'. This shines especially if she feels like you are wasting her time bsing her with garbage.
