I'm interested in organizing and running an Event for either May or June. Preferably a rather simple User-Event style event to take place over 3 days to a full week. Hopefully we'll be able to have some contests with the event as well.
Ideas so far:
An End of Spring event for May.
A beginning of Summer event for June.
A Pre-Summer Pre-Party Early Celebration Extravaganza~ For May.
Thoughts? Ideas? Interested in Joining?

There should be a sandcastle building/drawing contest and a summer avatar contest and who can eat the most watermelong rng contest where people roll between 1-20 or something you /pass out/, and the person who eats the most watermelon gets a prize.
I like watermelon.

So I'm thinking of creating a Monthly Newsletter that can totally be a plug for this. I'm actually multitasking and getting started on that at the moment. That being said, I want to try to get it out at by mid-May, so that could help with timing this mini-event.
Looking at the Skype chat, I saw an idea about a stargazing plot-tie in event. That would be totally awesome for end of May/June. Maybe like bonfires and stuff.
As far as contests go, perhaps an art contest where people create their own constellations? Maybe a writing contest where people write their own scary stories to tell around the bonfire?
AND MAYBE WE CAN END WITH A HANGOUT WHERE WERE LIKE "YOU. YOU'RE AWESOME. JOIN US?"
(cause it's never too late to join and some rooms only have like one co-host, so yeah...)
(also, obvs I'm in. I'm part of this committee cause i had an idea. yeah...)

I'd imagine your news letter would be in-between these two. xD So hopefully you'll have good news to report from the fundraiser event.

Ahh I'm sorry, I don't use skype :C Tho, you guys seem to ahve awesome ideas already heart Ok to give a bit more detail on what I'm thinking, I'd like to have an event set in Quynn's homeworld - the homeworld of the Viatori. We were having a bit of an ideas jam on Skype, and more or less arrived at the conclusion that a Viatori festival would be a great way to introduce the people a bit better before the main event goes live - like a sort of teaser trailer event. We were thinking that, given that this culture relied on a specific kind of magic-imbued crystal to help power their technology, they might have a festival dedicated to them. The stargazing element came into it when it was suggested that perhaps there is a night every year when the stars align and the crystals glow during the night. So basically elven alien bonfire party.
