Kahe carried an exhausted Andy back into their room. They walked over to the bed before he set her down taking a seat beside her, "You're amazing, you know that?" He took her hand and squeezed it softly, "You saved a lot of lives today, thank you." He got up and paced the room quietly, they would have visitors soon to come check on them because of the recent attack. He wasn't sure how the check in would go with Mara currently out of the picture, but he wasn't going to leave her until it was over and she was safe.

Dread filled Kage instantly, he knew that they had to tell Andy eventually. He had planned to tell Mara that it was time before they were attacked, but he had never expected she would ask on her own. He looked around nervously before responding, "It's complicated, Andy. I can tell you that you were given a second chance and I like to think we are happy now, but I can't tell you anything else... I made a promise to Mara, I can't tell you anything else until she gets back." He looked down at the ground, sadness in his eyes. He knew that isn't what she wanted to hear and would only make it worse, but if he broke this one promise there was almost no chance that Mara would ever trust him. He glanced up at Andy, "Can you wait until Mara is back? I promise I can tell you then..."

"Did I kill people?"

The question hung in the air as Kage was unable to speak. He tried to answer, to tell her no, but he couldn't lie to her not if he had wanted any chance at holding onto her after she found out the truth. He tried to think of an answer that wouldn't bring her to tears, but couldn't find one. The silence was an answer on its own, one he regretted.

"Were you one of them too?"

Finally able to respond he shook his head, "I don't think so, but I can't remember anything beyond a few weeks what you can." He thought for a moment before adding, "It's possible, but unlikely." Kage suddenly regretted his loss of memories and the forgotten life before, perhaps if he knew who he was and what happened, but he didn't even realize how close he had been to his own mother recently.

"... what can you tell me?"

Kage suddenly shouted, enraged with himself more than anything as Andy pressed further trying to find out what she could. "I don't know! I don't know anything! I hate what I've done and I hate that I may lose you if you ever find out! I hate that I fell in love with you so easily! Most of all, I hate that I can't lie to you!" He calmed down before he continued, "We've known eachother less than a month and I'm madly in love with you."

Kage looked at the ground, disappointment in his eyes. He was disappointed that he had yelled at Andy, not because he had let slip something that he shouldn't have. He looked over at her and spoke weakly, "Please, Andy. No more questions. You won't like the answers if you ask them, but I won't lie to you. Wait for Mara, please."

Panic set in as Andy collapsed. Kage rushed to her side attempting to catch her before she hit the ground. Not quick enough, he was simply able to pick her up from the floor. He carried her to the bed and set her down gently. He pulled back the covers and tucked her into bed before moving over to her desk. Slowly he began to pace back and forth in front of the spot where earlier this afternoon he had surprised her. He lashed out punching the desk, "Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!" He tried punishing himself, pain to take away the reminder of his stupidity. She had been crying, he had made the woman so distraught that she had been brought to tears because of what he had said or even how he had said it.

Kage slammed his head against a wall, but it didn't help. Repeatedly he tried to injure himself, but he couldn't cause a physical pain that distracted from the pain he felt inside. He shifted from anger to distress as he considered what would happen when she woke. He removed a piece of paper from the desk and began writing a note in his panic. Several attempts later he finally had something he was satisfied with, he would be telling her everything. He was in this mess because of lies, he only hoped the truth could mend it. The book on his side was placed beside the bed, the lock undone. He placed the note on top of the book as he looked it over one last time.

Andy, I'm sorry... I never meant to hurt you. No matter what you take from last night, I want you to realize I really do love you. Everything I know is inside of my journal, it's yours to read. Tomorrow I'll tell you everything, no more lies and no more secrets. I love you...

Kage left the room locking the door behind himself. He placed his key into the door itself giving it a turn as an eye shape lock appeared on the outside. He wasn't going to give up on Andy, but he couldn't have the guards doing rounds disturbing her or worse. Once sure it was locked and no one would be able to enter or exit he turned and left heading outside for the night.

Kage sighed as he finally made his way down towards the room, he knew so little of Andy before he had erased her and he regretted it more than ever. The girl who claimed to be her sister had said that Zaku had loved Andy before he even came along, he had taken her away from something that was real, not the artificial love that she had developed for him. He didn't even notice the guards as he walked past them, only seeing Andy outside of the room that he had locked. He froze, fear taking hold for the moment. Was she waiting for him? Slowly he moved again stepping closer seeing that she held a piece of the lock in her hand. Whatever it was it looked like she had forcefully broken out of the room.

Kage walked up silently behind her. He didn't dare surprise her in her current condition their playful joking about how he may be hurt a real possibility at this moment. He announced his presence with a cough before speaking, "I think we should speak, inside." He moved into the room taking a seat on the edge of the bed, eyes shifting towards the doorway as he waited for Andy. He was nervous, unsure if she would come in or if he had found her on her way out preparing to leave him. He tried to shake the thought, but it hung over him threatening to destroy the happiness he had built with her the last few weeks.

Kage stared at her blankly, he wasn't even sure where to begin. He had assumed she would have questions, but it seemed she wanted him to lead the conversation and he was at a loss of words. He considered opening with something about her sister, but decided against it. Instead he turned it towards the book he had left her. "Did you have a chance to read my journal?" Even if she refused to look at him she was still speaking to him, that was a good sign. If she had ignored him completely it would have destroyed him, if they were still speaking perhaps it could be salvaged. He watched her cautiously unsure of how she would respond and added, "I'm sorry. I know it doesn't mean much, but I thought you would be better off. They would have killed you otherwise."

Kage listened closely, picking apart the details in his head. He waited for her to finish before he corrected her as she had asked. "You were one of them. You were the second in command of the EE. I don't know the details of your capture because I was still confined to my room during that time, but they did capture you and someone else apparently. Mara is mean because she is b***h, but I'm sure that the rest of what happened doesn't help." He paused for a moment considering how to word the next part, but since he had had promised not to lie to her he put it bluntly. "This attack wasn't for your benefit, they came to get the person that was captured with you, Melody. I also didn't shoot your friends, I shot your sister. She is on the third floor currently being detained, she surrendered when she saw you because she wanted to be with you and decided that if you were happy here she would leave the renegades and work with SIU to protect your happiness. I didn't hear reports of other injuries, but I'm not told very much so that doesn't mean there weren't others." Feeling only pain within his heart he began to shake, physically distressed as he continued. "When you first woke up I didn't know you, I simply was trying to keep you from going mad as I had when I first awoke with no memory of who I was. I grew to love you, but none of that matters to you right now. I don't know if Ree lied to you, he may have been your friend since from what I gather he was undercover at a safe haven for Metas. If you were there you may have been friends before SIU captured you and he stopped going there. My love isn't a lie however, I truly love you even if I don't know the person you were before." Kage stood up off of the bed and turned away from her, "I understand if you don't want to see me. I'll understand if you want to leave SIU even, but your sister may be able to answer questions of your past. Whatever you want to do from here I'll support your decision even if it doesn't include me anymore, but I'll never stop fighting for you."

"You're right, I don't know the old you, but I know the real you. I erased your memories, but the things you like and dislike the things that are you at your core can't be changed that simply. I may have changed your outlook by taking away the past, but you're still the same scared lonely girl even with your memories. If there was a way to restore your memories would you even give me a chance to get to know you?" He paused lowering his voice as he turned to her. "I nearly died erasing you and I have no illusions that restoring you would be easier. I expect the opposite, when I erased you your defenses were weakened as we spoke, but now knowing the truth I don't believe you could trust me enough to allow it, even if you wanted to. If you were willing to give me a chance if I survive I would try. To keep from losing you I would throw away everything here and risk my life. Would that make you happy, would you give me a chance if I survived?" He stared at her silently awaiting a response
