I did not know the Fiji flag looked like that! It looks very disjoint
sweatdrop It's because they still incorporate the Union Jack into their flag. Australia and New Zealand do it too, but it's less noticable because they use the same blue whereas Fiji uses almost a sky blue. Most commonwealth countries used similar flags at some point. Here's the history of Canadian flags;

And when you look at provincial flags the Union Jack features prominently in many of them. Manitoba, Ontario and British Columbia use it in their flags and it was the official flag of Newfoundland until 1980. Which makes it so unfortunate that this stamp set came out in 1979;

Had the set come out one year later the stamp would have had the current provincial flag;
