Silk was currently loafing under some bushes that were up against Chase's house. No. Not house. Mansion. The kitten would even dare say it bordered on being a damn castle, because it was, by far, the largest 'house' he'd never seen much less now lived in!? He wasn't expecting that when he first laid eyes on the guy, and while he wasn't easily impressed by much---this definitely did impress him. It so did. The kitten was adjusting to having a...home? A place where he could repeatedly come back to that offered basic needs like food and shelter...that wasn't a hollowed tree trunk in a park. He was also learning that some people apparently came and went? Like this one he was now glaring at in the yard from under the bushes. Some girl... It was a safe assumption that anyone associated with Chase to come to his house frequently must have been similarly aligned, right? Hm. Silk got up from loafing, and quietly proceeded to stalk the girl along the row of bushes and hedges, staying underneath them for now as he watched her.

Katrina had been in the neighborhood when she had decided to drop by Chase's house-- Where 'been in the neighborhood' translated into 'was bored out of her mind and decided to hop on her bike for a ride'. When she'd gotten there, fickle as she was, she'd opted against going up to the door. Sure, she could duck inside and try to coax Momewrath out of hiding. She could also park her bike and wander around outside and enjoy the weather a little bit. Maybe take a selfie or two? She sighed as she kicked a pebble across the drive before wandering away from her motorcycle and off onto the grass.

Silk lifted a paw as the kicked pebble ended up skittering by, and he narrowed his eyes at it before looking back at the girl. Did Chase know that random chicks just walked all over his lawn? Even if he had seen her more than once, he had felt like it was his duty to make sure she really did belong here. Or not. He kept stalking her along the bushes, but he just decided to get right to it. The kitten stayed where he was, but called out to her with a hiss. " And what do you think you're doing, lady?"

"I don't answer to disembodied voices," Katrina stated simply as she froze, glancing around slowly. She was fairly certain that Chase wasn't home and was just as sure that if General Labyrinthite had a youma of some sort watching his house when he wasn't around that it would have been something he mentioned. What else could it be, though? What had she missed? "You're going to have to show yourself if you want to know what I'm doing here, plain and simple. Do you even know who I am?" She was ready to defend herself, if need be. Honestly, though, she'd rather not explain why she got into a fight on her superior officer's lawn if it could be avoided...

"There's nothing disembodied about this voice, lady. Maybe you're just blind." He continued to glare at her from under the bushes, speculating and judging. After a moment he decided to could be bothered to show himself in favor of finding out about this lady creeping around on Chase's yard. Silk too, and padded out from underneath the bushes, trailing around Kat's feet where he then sat in front of her, staring up at her with a lidded and unimpressed stare. "No. I don't. That's why I asked." His tone was just scathing with duh. "Are you someone worth knowing?"

"Maybe you're just too small and unimportant to be... To be noticed?" Any harsh edge that her words might have had faded when she realized that she was talking to a-- To a cat? Wait... What? Katrina made a face, glancing around for a moment while crossing her arms over her chest. If someone was punking her she wasn't going to be pleased. Cats didn't talk, unless... Yup. There it was, a star in the center of the small feline's forehead. A Guardian Cat. "Well duh I'm someone worth knowing. Katrina Halloran. Do you have a name, or should I just call you Smalls?"

"Yawn." Silk quipped, one eye narrowing while the other widened a tad as he stared up at her. "Never heard of you before, lady, and the name is Silk." His tail flicked once. "What are you doing parading around on Chase's yard? Are you allowed to be here?" He stared at her, pinning her with his kitten gaze...which did have quite a force for being in such a small body. "Are you a senshi thing?"

"Parading? No parade here. Definitely short a marching band and party floats. Pretty sure parades are supposed to have those things, Smalls." She flashed the small feline a toothy grin while wondering briefly if she shouldn't feel like some sort of an a*****e for mouthing off to a kitten, of all things. "Thought you cats with the forehead stars were supposed to be able to figure out whether or not someone was a senshi on your own... I'm not one, by the way. Too cool to be a senshi, and yes, I'm allowed to be here. are you allowed to be here? Chase doesn't like cats, you know." He was pretty good at pretending he didn't like them, at least, with the flat, annoyed looks she'd caught him giving Momewrath at various points. It was probably an act... "How do you know Chase?" Lucyal Alright, cat. You. Me. Sass off.

"Pretty sure I see at least two floats." He made a pointed stare at her chest. "Also, you got the obnoxious colors to go with a parade---" Her hair, "The volume" Her voice, "And you're moving around like an elephant! Pretty hard to ignore." His eyes narrowed. "Yeah, we can, by touching." He flicked his nose up, very much indicating he wouldn't even deign touching her. "So you're a Negaverse officer thing then? What rank are you?" He stared at her hard again, ready to pass even more judgment if she didn't say general. If possible, he somehow puffed out a bit with pride. "Yeah, I'm allowed to be here. I was personally invited even, by Chase." Now he just looked super smug. "Met him at his coffee shop, and then he showed me some of the stuff he can do as a general. How do you know him? Or not know him, since I'm obviously a cat and he likes me." Just so smug.

"His other cat is prettier than you are," she tossed the words out with a light shrug of her lips; just a passing comment without any thought after she eyed the kitten like he wasn't all that impressive at all no matter how smug he was. Katrina then rolled her eyes, uncrossing her arms as she did so. "Pretty sure he doesn't like you because you're a cat, because you're not just a cat. You're useful," because Guardian Cats were useful, even if this one was probably too small to be able to do much, "and any useful thing has a place... I know him because he's my General." When she realized just how childish her words sounded she paused, shaking her head before taking a seat on the lawn a couple feet away from the tiny feline. She held one hand out, voice getting a little softer. "Lieutenant, for now. I'll be a Captain soon if I keep impressing him." Which she aimed to. She wanted Labyrinthite to be proud of her and she never wanted to give him a reason to regret pulling her under his command.

"Well good." He sneered. "Because I'm a boy, dip stick, so to be pretty would be stupid!" His eyes narrowed briefly before they resumed their normal half lidded state. "So that means you must be somewhat useful to be parading your elephant feet around here too, then." Of course Chase had underlings. It only made perfect sense for how bad a** he was. Silk just stared at her as she sat down and then offered a hand, and just continued to stared at her, not making any movement towards her. "Keep impressing him?" He echoed dubiously. "But actually doing something, right?"

"You're pretty angry for such a small thing, you know. Are you always this much of an a*****e or just when you're trying to make yourself look bigger and more important than you are?" Her brow quirked as she lowered her hand, resting it on the grass before leaning back. She had a better view of the kitten this way, at least, and maybe he'd be a little less hissy-spitty if he didn't have to crane his small neck as much to talk back to her. "I do plenty of things right, but the idea is to keep that up; to be useful. That's what we're all here for. There's something each and every one of us is good at... Must mean you're good at something too, right, Smalls?"

"Size has nothing to do with attitude." His tail curved, resembling the shape of a question mark before it suddenly flicked like a whip. In answer to being asked if he was always an a*****e, his eyes just curved briefly with contentment. "Oh, I know how important I am." He told her. "Chaos Guardians are hard to come by. You'd know if you actually paid attention to anything." He made no move still as she shifted, but yeah, he didn't have to crane his neck as much, and that was kind of nice. Not that he'd express that, though. "What are you good at, elephant feet?" He paused for a moment, his eyes narrowing. "A few big things, yeah. I can mask energy signatures, and I can locate members of the team."

"Me? Collecting energy. Knowing when to pick fights." Alright, not so much that part, but it wasn't like the cat knew about how often she and Prissy bickered while powered up. "Inspiring team mates to keep up their work and do better. Motivational, inspirational things." Most of which involved bullying Prissy and guilting her into being more productive for the Negaverse and insisting that James spend more time with her as Aluminite as well... "You're a cat, though, right? Do you like to do cat things? Play with toys? Ear scratches? What's your favorite food?"

Silk's eyes narrowed very skeptically at the whole 'motivational and inspirational things', letting her know that he thought very different. Also actually along the same lines as bullying and whatever else that entailed. The kitten let out an indignant huff. "I'm not a cat, I'm a Guardian!" But he was definitely a cat. A kitten even. He looked very insulted at being asked if he liked to do cat things, and didn't answer any of those questions, with the exception of food. "Tuna, salmon...and...those hot dogs that are breaded...on sticks!" He narrowed his eyes at her. "What are those called?"
