At Large Prompt 1
Can be used toward Battle req (or RP req only if done with a friend) Solo word minimum is 500, RP post minimum is 7
It was bound to happen eventually.
With rumors of great beasts roaming the shores of Yael, many mainlanders flocked across the sea to capture the exotic beasts. In no time at all, they returned with large scaled monsters, dangerously translucent serpents, and turtles that carried the earth. These traders traveled across the Mainland to parade the beasts, going from Matori to Zena and everywhere between. Soon enough, everyone had either seen the Yaeli beasts or at least heard of them.
And they were sure to hear about the beasts when they escaped.
With such little knowledge of the foreign creatures, the traders underestimated the animals. In no time at all, the Yaeli beasts escaped into the wilderness and ended up near your location. With new creatures all but knocking on your door, what do you do? Do you dare to try and tame them, or do you run them off back into the wilderness? You better hurry, because these creatures are lost and scared, and are sure to cause some damage before they are captured once more....|| The Yaeli familiars have been spotted in the following locations: Tintural (Oba and Matori), Keldari (Jauhar/Chibale and Tale), Limbara (Sauti and Zena). Only individuals in set locations can encounter the specific familiars.
|| If you are located in Yael, respond to this prompt as if you witnessing a mainlander abducting one of the newly announced familiars. Do you step in or run away? Use the same rolls below, but instead of subduing the beast, you are rolling to test your success for freeing it. You may encounter any beast on Yael if you are located there, but you must declare which one you are facing when you make the roll.
This prompt will be resolved by each player rolling 1D100 to test their success. (You can only roll once - there are no reattempts!)
xxxxxStage 3 must roll 40-100 to successfully subdue the beast
|| Success or fail, completion of this event rewards you with 15 EXP!
|| If you roll a 95-100, you get to keep the familiar! Congrats!
|| Those who win a familiar should be followed up by a PM to our Beast Battle Mule: Beast Tamer Freya with this form:

There was rumor going around about strange beasts creeping about, those that came from that nasty island where the zealots were banished. It seemed as though smugglers were going there, taking the beasts, and trying to sell them... only to lose track of some of their stock. They really were worthless fools, weren't they? Not even able to keep the beasts that they wanted to sell under control. How were they supposed to sell things to people when they weren't even reliable enough to hold onto their wares? It was enough to make him shake his head in disgust as he looked over the orders that he and the others in his unit were given. They were supposed to find and 'deal with' the beasts in short order before they could destroy the beasts that lived in Oba naturally. There was a risk in the natural order crumbling then, meaning that the invaders had to be taken care of.
At least that was what they were told. Looking at his orders, then to the beast before him, to the orders again, and back Saraf felt certain that they were screwing with him. This thing was what he was sent out here to destroy? Some reptile that had a damned flower garden growing on its back? How was it threatening? Unless the plants on its back were dangerous? He supposed they could always scrub it off and make sure that it regrew plants that were native to Oba instead? After that... what? Pen it up so that it wouldn't go wander off eating something weird or trying to breed with the bushi from Matori? Though the size difference should prevent that?
Lifting a foot he nudged at the strange turtle which did nothing in response, instead continuing to walk along. It wasn't all that intimidating, made that much weaker when compared to Grane for instance. Was that they they had the flowers? To hide their dangerous nature? Hard to say... he supposed that it could be possible. They could be venomous? Maybe had a powerful bite? Toxic blood? Why were these things being called dangerous when they were nothing but a bunch of flower baring turtles? Lifting a hand he rubbed his temples before he fetched a net, "Alright, beast, time to go. I will figure out what I'm supposed to do with you once I have you wrangled."
Maybe his mother would want a flower garden turtle? Though only once he'd had it inspected by a beast master and they were certain that it wasn't something that would put his dear mother in danger. He'd rather turn it into a stew then let it threaten his mother. If it turned out that it was safe then he'd let her have it, if it was dangerous in anyway then he'd turn it into janarim food, either way it wasn't out and about making a mess of Oba. Giving a nod of his head he tossed the net over the beast, scooped it up off the ground, and hung it off of Grane's side, "Alright, let's get going, Grane. We will drop this thing off with one of our beast tamers to make sure that it's not a threat before I decide its fate."
