Fingertips pressed against the polished window as Prissy stared into the store. Mannequins lined the display, each wearing something unique, different and very fashionable. One had the absolute cutest black skirt, another with an adorable pink sweater with a neckline that hung over the shoulders. The shoes were...questionable, at best, but the outfits certainly made up for any of her disappointment in the shop's footwear. One hand moved to adjust the oversized jacket around herself as Prissy ignored the impatient people attempting to move around the section of the sidewalk that she continued to block due to her staring. The stranger - what was his name again, Jester? Joker? - had never received an opportunity to have his jacket returned, so Dia, or rather Prissy, had taken advantage of the gift and decided to break it out on this particularly breezy March afternoon. Overall, it wasn't a tacky jacket by any means - just clearly meant for someone much taller than herself. Maybe if she had a boyfriend, this was what it would feel like to wear his jacket. Maybe she could just play pretend for a little while. Maybe. The tip of her nose pressed into the glass, her breath beginning to fog the pane as she looked further into the shop. She'd already maxed out her cards for the month, so she knew better than to do any actual shopping, less she be forced to have another sit-down lecture from Daddy. Ah well.

Joker was striding through the mall, done with the few errands requested of him. His stomach growled in discontentment, reminding him that he had forgotten to eat lunch. Ahh, I wonder if I should go to grab some lunch..? He would have merely passed by the pink-hair girl window-shopping, had it not been for the similar jacket that had caught his eye. He paused temporarily, taking a moment to observe the young girl looking through the windows of the clothing stores. To be honest, while she looked vaguely similar to the girl that he had met -- with those flowing pink locks, Joker couldn't be entirely sure. She might be a different girl entirely. And that could be a different jacket. Or Dia could have easily discarded it at a thrift store, leaving another similarly looking girl to pick it up. Serpierite, or Lacie to be more accurate, had specifically warned him not to become involved with Dia. And she had taken care to include anyone who resembled Dia. Especially if he wanted to stay safe, and if he had the common sense not to. His ears were still blistering with her admonitions, remembering her teal eyes burning with irritation. But sometimes, Joker liked to think he was flexible with both. And the fact that Joker couldn't easily leave people alone included Dia (even if she had nearly tried to kill him.) "It's a nice store, isn't it?" He mused, stepping into the spot next to her. To be honest, he didn't know much about women's fashion; but it certainly didn't mean he didn't have some sort of taste. When she looked over, There was a bit shyness and embarrassness in his friendly expression as he just wanted to make sure, "I hope I'm not bothering you, but I was wondering do we know each other from somewhere? You look so familiar.." But then the thought of his actions occurred to him- even though he had meant it innocuously, it was very easy to take it the wrong way."..Oh, but I'm not hitting on you!" He stepped back to give her enough room to be comfortable.

"It's a nice store, isn't it?"It had taken her a moment to realize the voice was addressing her, Prissy then turning to face the speaker. Her cheeks were quick to inflame, growing bright pink as she quickly recognized the young man. Was his jacket a summoning device or something? What were the odds that he'd show up, the day she finally decided to break it out of the closet? Would he even recognize it? "I-" "..Oh, but I'm not hitting on you!"He seemed to be backpedaling, physically taking a step back to add additional space between them. His quickness nearly had him bumping into a gaggle of schoolgirls, who merely giggled when they noticed the handsome young man as they passed by. Their laughter helped settle Prissy's nerves, who were tense and on edge at the risk of being discovered. "You're not a bother at all," She said coyly, choosing her words carefully. He acknowledged that she looked familiar - but then again, how many girls wandered around Destiny City with cotton candy pink hair? "I'm sorry, but I don't think I know you. I'm still rather new to these parts, I-I just moved here a few months ago." One hand moved to clutch the jacket tighter, the other hand moving out to offer it to the tall young man. "I'm Prissy - er, Priscilla. But everyone calls me Prissy." Xaki d'aww, joker, u such a good guy

Her flustered face.. was a result of a stranger talking to her, perhaps? Before he had enough time to think about the issue, the accidental stumble and contact with the high school girls seemed to prompt his own frayed nerves. "Sorry!" He called out to them over his shoulder, his voice lost in their giggles. He didn't seem to have an idea for their reason for giggling, displaying the obtuseness of a man who wasn't used to female attention. or more accurately, he didn't think too much about female attention to discern their intentions. The young girl's denial brought a rueful smile to his lips, realizing that he wouldn't meet that mysteriously girl again very easily. In a city populated by thousands of people, and hundreds of powered individuals, it was understandable. To bump into her on the street was asking for too much, wasn't it? "Still, I'm sorry about this." He rubbed the back of his neck, clearly nervous in her presence. "My name is Joker. It's nice to meet you.. Prissy?" There was a bit of hesitation with using such a personalized name, especially with somebody he had just met. But his handshake was warm enough. At that particular moment, his stomach growled to remind him of his original dilemma. Joker looked a bit abashed to be caught in something so embarrassing. "As an apology, why don't you let me treat you to something?"

His stomach's gurgling was loud enough for both pairs of ears to hear and the young woman giggled at the sound. He was clearly just as charming and gallant as he been the first evening they'd run across one another, although he (thankfully) did not recognize her from before. Her free hand tucked itself in the jacket's pocket and she swayed slightly. "I would love a snack, if that's not too much trouble." A free anything was nice, especially when one was strapped for cash. The irony of being treated to a quick bite by the man she'd nearly taken the life of did not go unnoticed - she simply smiled and embraced his hand with her own, soft fingers that smelt of strawberries both gently and reluctantly releasing from his grasp. "Maybe you could make a suggestion? I'm still not terribly familiar with everything around here..." Another bold lie, but as he failed to recognize her, she played into character. Sweet and innocent, she could manage. Well... she could manage as long as that pesky silver-haired Lieutenant kept out of matters, at least.

He let a curious gaze drift to their connected hands, along with a slight reddening across his cheeks. But he didn't pull away, instead, giving her a reassuring grin. It seemed that he was going along with her feigned innocence. "Hmm." He let himself contemplate their destination. "What about the cafe around the corner?" It was a small store decorated in the style of warm brown furnishings and oak; the desserts, food, and coffee there were quite exceptional, as the store having been managed by the same owner for years now. The only problem, and reason for it's lack of popularity, was the owner who saw no need to make small talk or cater to customer's unreasonable desires. Once you had gotten past that, it was easy to be a frequent customer. And Joker was, from his cheerful greeting towards the staff. Pulling out her seat, he waited until she was properly seated before taking his own."Order whatever you'd like." He told her as they were quickly seated. He certainly didn't resemble her rich crowd, like the sons and daughters of her father's associates. One could tell from his commonplace clothes were probably brought at the local department store. Or his manners -- from the way he took off his outer shirt and hung it on the back of his chair. But while he was frugal in general living, he certainly didn't have a problem with treating friends. His many jobs allowed him that luxury at least. And Joker placed a far higher value on the people around him, than on monetary items. "And don't forget to eat the dessert here. I've heard from several female patrons that it's quite good." He couldn't help but advertise, not only was it genuinely delicious, but as a fellow waiter, it was all too easy to recommend food. And with nice company, he didn't see why not. Something in his easy manner said that no matter how much Prissy ate, he wasn't the type of guy to judge by those trivial standards.

" Forget the dessert?" The comment had clearly amused her as her fingers nimbly opened the menu set out in front of her. Hands were quick to clap together as she excitedly gazed over the array of choices. "Why bother with real food when you could make your meal out of the sweeter things in life?" And that's exactly what Prissy planned on doing, when it came to the impromptu date she'd managed to wrangle herself into. While Joker's clothing might require a bit of Prissy's magical touch, he was a handsome date and a gentleman at that. As fun as it would be to make him sweat by taking advantage of his generous offer and spending all of his money, she would settle for a dessert date and leave it at that. For now. "Strawberry parfait, I think." She finally conceded to the waiter as he made his appearance, pen and pad in hand. The decision was a tough one, but the tantalizing call of sweet strawberries with fluffy angel food cake and whipped cream seemed the perfect light dessert for the occasion. "Extra whipped cream, please!" Eyes fell across to her date, who had settled himself into his own seat. "Anything sound appealing to you?"
