Mawasii stretched and yawned, slowly easing her body into a vigorous shake that stirred dust clouds into the air. It was one of those lazy, hot sort of days where she'd spent more time lazing about in the dirt than doing anything of use. Still, with the rapidly passing day, more and more flies had come to buzz around her eyes and forcing her back onto her paws.
Smacking her lips, she stretched one last time before turning her blue-eyed gaze across the barren landscape. The land here seemed to be flat for miles, scattered with lonely trees and shapes turned into odd formations by the blasting wind. At her back was a thorny undergrowth that seemed to stretch from one side of the world to the other and perched amongst it's twisted growth were many, many little birds that shrieked and chattered loudly to one another.
Shimmering perhaps one hundred paces away was the grey flat water that she had traveled this way to drink and it was only at its banks where any sort of colour touched the world. Green grass and flowers. A small group of antelope were there now, grazing quietly in the shade of a half dead tree.
"I guess," she mumbled, "it's time I got back."

Mircea closed his eyes again, trying to keep the dirt from flying into his eyes, blinding him. He didn't know how he had managed to wander here, and hopefully it would be easy enough to get out of this place as he did not want to get stuck here.
He shook his mane out a bit more. He would probably have to clean himself a bit after this. Squinting he looked around again and managed to see what looked like some sort of prey in the distance, though the heat was making it hard.
He internally sighed and continued forward, hoping that he wouldn't scare the prey off. He would need the food to be able to get out of here. Eventually it led him closer and he found that it was a watering hole with some antelope. He kept his distance, trying to blend in if possible, so he could catch one of them while it was unaware.

As Mawasii drew closer to the water she realised, quite quickly, that not every shape by the water belonged to antelope. There was a lion there, too, a dark shape against the sky. A stranger or a friend from the horde? She scrunched her nose as she tried to focus but the distance and his dark fur gave nothing away.
Still, her scent on the wind had caught the attention of the antelope now and the prey beasts began to stir nervously, grouping together and casting their large eyes at her.
With a flick of her tail the dark lioness turned from the prey beasts and circled wide, attempting to get to the water without drawing too close to the stranger. It was only when she was a few paces away that she dared another look at him. Red. Black. Was he Firekin? Her heart quickened and she stiffened, flicking her tail in agitation.
"What brings you here?" she called, keeping her voice strong and unwavering.

Mircea kept his head down as he eyes the prey and noticed that they had gotten unnerved by something. Great, he wasn't the only one out here. He wanted to look around, but wasn't sure if he would give his position away by doing so. In a few moments though he didn't need to as he heard something approach. He slowly turned his head toward the sound and noticed a lioness was coming in his direction. She too was trying to keep from scaring the antelope off. Perhaps there didn't need to be a fight between the two then.
He kept himself still as she continued to approach and eventually she stopped a little bit away from him. He heard her question, it didn't seem to be filled with anger or malice, so this probably wasn't her usual place. At least he hoped that was it.
A corner of his mouth turned upward though he sighed internally. "I'm just a wandering rogue and managed to find this little watering hole that conveniently has some prey nearby and I was hoping to catch one. I'm assuming that's why you're here too?"

"Nah," Mawasii replied with a further flick of her tail. So far so good. He didn't seem ready to attack her and she fancied some conversation that wasn't circling around the usual topics of the Nergui. They seemed so single-minded sometimes and dreadfully boring when there wasn't any hunting or battles going on. "Just came for the water. You might have to wait for the prey to settle before you have a try for them. Seems I might have disturbed them for you." She smiled and turned her head to the water as she reached its edge, dipping her head to drink.
After sucking in a few great mouthfuls of the stagnant water, she lifted her dripping muzzle to look at him again. "Be wary of the lands near here. Many of the people of my pride might want to recruit you into their ranks whether you wish it or not. Or they might think you belong to the red-pelts living out in the desert. They'd just kill you if they thought the later."
She paused to drink again, slaking her thirst before sitting back on the bank and lifting a single paw to brush the droplets from her whiskers. "Do you have a name? Any news of the outside world? I miss my rogue days at times, though I think I'll be travelling again soon enough."

Mircea nodded his head not only as his reply but also in thanks for the advice about the prey. He sat up and looked to see the antelope were still nervous, but didn't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon. Good so far.
He waited for her to drink, not wanting to interrupt her or do anything that might cause her to choke if he surprised her.
His eyes almost widened in surprise at the mention of what type of prideland he was in. He hadn't yet run into a pride that forced you into it against your will. That was good to know though, he would have to be careful. However this lioness didn't seem interested in recruiting him. "Red-pelts in the desert? I've talked to one of them before. I guess some prides really do have such problems between each other." He hoped that he wouldn't get caught in the middle, or as she had said, by one of her kind.
He watched her as she drank again, and he was starting to get thirsty himself. "I'm Mircea. I can't tell you much because of how much traveling I go on. Mostly I've been focused on trying to find my brother, but there doesn't seem to be anything big going on outside of here. Just everyone trying to survive, as usual." He felt a bit bitter at that. He couldn't help but start to want to be in a pride himself, even if it was just to feel like he belonged. "What's the name you go by?"

Mawasii gave a shrug. Unlike other Nergui she preferred conversation over fighting and she didn't quite understand why her brethren were so hell bent on forcing membership when a friendly chat might convince them to join. Far less stressful!
"The red-pelts are strong. It makes them worthy opponents and likely they've done something to deserve it." Like killing her father before she was even born. The father who she was so like; in appearance and personality.
"I'm Mawasii." She smirked, "brothers are so much trouble, aren't they? My brother is bigger than me by far but he's always landing himself in some sort of trouble that I need to drag him out of. He's lucky I love him so much or I'd have just left him out on the plains long ago. Your brother look like you? I'll keep an eye out if so."

Mircea nodded in understanding, though he didn't really like that much conflict. He didn't mind fighting, but was confused by fighting that did not have a good purpose, such as just to hurt someone. He would have to remember red-pelt. At least then it would give him some direction on how to recognize those of the desert.
He laughed a little at the mention of her brother. He wondered what his brother looked like now, probably like him. He hadn't seen him since they had been separated as cubs. "We look alike, only in pattern though. We have a bit of an opposing color scheme." He was happy that another would look out for his brother, even if they didn't have to. He hadn't found him yet so he doubted anyone else would.

She nodded giving him a long glance as if trying to commit his appearance to memory. Family was important. The most important thing in the world as far as she was concerned. If she happened across his brother she'd certainly try her best to see them reunited. "Can't promise anything but I'll keep a keen eye on any other rogues I pass by. You never know. Might get lucky."
She smirked then; a glint of white teeth in her dark muzzle. "Hm, well, since you've been so nice I think I'll stay a while and help you with one of those antelope. I'll take a haunch back with me to my kin and you can feast on the rest. You'll need the food more than me if you're going to continue wandering the lands as you have been."
She stretched and stood, giving her body a slight shake to stir the dust that might have settled and turned back towards him. "What d'yah say?"SSBrosB You can wrap with your next post if you like <3 Thanks for the RP. Was fun!

Mircea smiled brightly back at her. "Thank you, for your encouraging words." He replied. He was also very happy to accept her offer of helping catch some food. He hadn't hunted with anyone before. This would be exciting!
"That actually sounds great. Though we'll need to coordinate a bit. I've never done this with anyone before but I think we can do it." He replied, giving her a confident nod and starting to tell her what he thought their strategy might be. Getting one by itself would be the starting point...Kimaria Sorry this took so long! We can leave it at this.
