Kae had been busy typing away on her laptop as a girl was driving the car. The doctor too busy with what she was doing to look up from the screen. She plugged her phone into the port with a cord, a loading bar that seemed to drag on forever, and then is was completely. Kae's eyes were slender with fixation, focusing on the laptop. "Turn her, the place is up on the left." she spoke bluntly without even looking up to see where they were. "Understood." the girl responded blandly and they pulled up just a ways outside the gate.Kae gathered up some folders and handed them to the girl, "Let's go." the girl simply nodded and they both stepped out of car. Dr. Broken briskly walked up to the gate that had a a guard posted there. Kae was intent on merely walking past, not exactly in the mindset to stop and thinking about that. The guard stopped her suddenly and she was forced to halt. "Look, just tell Mara she has a visitor, will you? If necessary, you can tell her it's a friend." she adjusted her glasses then folded her arm. "You better be quick, I don't have all day." she retorted the guard annoyedly.

Moments later another guard came out and talked tot he first one. "What? she does?" The second guard gave the first one a sharp glance before turning to look at the two guests. "This way" not sure why he was sent instead of sending one of the secretaries. The first guard just shook his head as he opened the door and let them both in. Some minutes later the guard open the door and allowed them to enter Mara's office. A corner type office with windows on both sides. Cream, pale coral and light tan colors decorated the room. In the middle facing the door was a desk with a few files on it a laptop an a cup of coffee. Near it was a bookshelf only half way filled. There was one executive chair behind the desk and a comfy chair off to the side with the sofa.
Mara was leaning against the side of the bookshelf , reaching down to pick up the coffee as she looked outside still trying to calm down as she finally turned to look at her guests. ".....Now I am surprised. You don't seem to have changed much from your previous pictures" she said glancing toward the second person questioningly before motioning to the chair or sofa if they wanted. "Why are you here?" she said getting to the point, not that she wasn't dying of curiosity, otherwise she would have said f-it and stayed verbally chew on Kage some more and keep an eye on Andy but this was a rare opportunity....or new problems.

She shot a glance to the girl and nodded, as if to tell her to sit down. The girl nodded quietly, no expression to her face, one reminiscent of Hexxis. Zira moved to the side and sat on the couch, placing the folders in her lap and overlapping her hands on top. She stared blankly ahead, not even acknowledging the conversation that was about to take place,Kae then turned her attention fully to Mara. Ignoring the comment about her appearance, she started in, "I'm here because despite being a scientist above all else, at my base I am still intuned with magic, and with that magic I am showed things despite my reluctance to care. I never intended to go back. Yet, as my visions would tell me, I must get involved myself if there is any hope of stopping this inevitable second war." her eyes stayed focused sharply on Mara. "I'm sure even you can see the path that we are all headed down."
Kae kept her gaze as she watched Mara for her expression. Though, she looked like she might have been a bit tired. She understood that resting was a luxury people like them could not afford at times like these. A lot was happening, the renegades were moving, the first stone already cast. "I'd love to outright tell you I'm here to help, but I'm reluctant in such a statement. People care so much about names and titles, they tend to overlook what one can offer to the table. Though, I have a feeling you know that. So all I can say is what I always say: I'll do what I can." she had stood fairly still, her stature planted firm as she spoke through a blunted expression that only seemed to give off the look as though she were mad about something, however, the way she spoke with poise like a high stakes business woman, gave off a different expression all on its own. "I'm at the edge of what I've been able to do in the shadows. It's about time I step out of those shadows and let people understand what this so-called "Mother of Metas" feels about all this unnecessary bloodshed. It's a risk, but isn't that what life is, taking risks?" She exhaled, finishing her rambling .
"How is she..." she asked bluntly. Curious about the answer she'd give.

"We have yet to start and already things have started to slide. " she tighten her grip on the cup slightly and her eyes blazed, maybe it would have stopped if they had been able to capture Zaku. That wouldn't have been enough to disband the renegades but it would have maybe been a hard blow to topple them.
"So yes.. I can see quite easily where this is going and not quite sure how to stop it without making it much worse other than on a case by case bases that ....won't be enough to stop the grand cascade if there isn't some forward thinking done now." She took a sip of her coffee, one of the many she has had in the past few days and at some points the only thing keeping her running.
She wasn't fooled, as much as Kae has helped her in the past she wouldn't be surprised if to prevent unnecessary bloodshed Kae might help the Renegades as well..even if it didn't seem like it was one of her first or second choices currently. "So... going from your words it seems like you want an audience with who ever I can get interested enough to listen. Even hold out the tidbit of what you have been working on all these years after your supposed death? " Truth be told she wanted to know as well, it was something he had not dared to ask really not because she wasn't interested but for fear of the answer itself.
"Hexxis? " her voice went flat "Alive. Not eating, having nightmares since the fight at the hospital. Tri is still in critical condition, her malice stabbed him and Zaku in the chest with a rebar. Prior to that seems her Malice came out to talk to Tri but nothing came of it. Other wise she -was- doing well."

"Don't worry so much about the message now. That will come in time. Surely my surfacing will draw enough of a crowd all on its own. Then I will speak." she took a deep breath as she glanced to Zira and then back to Mara. "I also came to see what you had been up to.. In person." she listened to Mara explain Hexxis condition. "Do you mind if I see her. Check her out. Ive honestly been very curious about the girl ever since I found her file." She was actually taken back by the news that Hexxis's malice had stabbed both Zaku and Tri. Interesting. Though, she might have not been surprised about Zaku, she was very shocked to here that Tri had been hurt by her. She wondered what could have happened that causes it to escalate into such a mess.

"Hm I see" She was here then mostly to see Hexxis, but whats she found curious was that Kae acted as if she had never met her...then how was she able to transfer her over to them? "Sure be my guests. I hope your friend here is your protection? " she asked mildly, a mild poke to see if Kae would give up any information on the second person. "I am curious... I don't believe you worked for Spectrum? how did you manage to get her out from their grasp?" she asked curious already motioning toward the door and passing them as she lead the way.

She motioned to Zira as she stood up and followed them, stays a few paces behind. "Of course, she's rigged with enough explosives to blow the place to kingdom come if anything goes wrong." she joked dryly, the only indication of it not being serious was the faint smirk on her lips as they walked. Moving her eyes forward while they headed to their destination, she began again, "Simple, I am a revered genius for a reason. I have my hands in pretty much everything. I've never worked for spectrum, but I guess you can say they work for me. Though I had to severe a section of it once I found out what they were doing to Hexxis. You see, I have connections everywhere, it's part of my nature I guess. It comes in handy a lot, like when you need to keep things hush and tie a few hands to keep the natural order of things." she explained matter-of-factly as they walked. They reached her room and she waited for Mara to grant her access. Kae motioned to Zira again as she then moved up to stand beside her, still not a hint of emotion the entire time.

Mara snapped her head back and looked at Zira before catching Kae's eye. "Ha. Ha" she said dryly but the joke didn't make her feel much better. //Fingers in a lot of pies// she thought mildly, it made sense...she also had her connections but likely not as many as Kaes... no hers were still much to limited.
Stopping in front of Hexxis's room she glanced through the window and located her first before blocking the view of the access code pad and open the door. "After you" she opened the door and motioned for them to go in...she would rather not but didn't seem like she would have much a choice right now.

Kae walked in, followed by Zira. Her eyes shifted to Hexxis laying unresponsive on the bed. Her eyes narrowing slightly as she then looked to Zira and nodded.Zira nodded in return and moved to Hexxis, kneeling down to stare directly into her eye, her face never changing, no expression whatsoever as she stared.Hexxis hadn't even acknowledged them enter the room as she tiredly stared off at the wall across the room. Then Zira's face came into view as she slid her visible eye to meet hers. She nodded slowly and sat up on the bed.Zira kept her gaze trained on Hexxis as she followed her movements. She moved a hand out to touch the side of her face, the side that wasn't bruised. After a moment, she leaned forward to touch her forehead against Hexxis' and closed her eyes.Hexxis had kept her eyes on the ground, as Zira moved closer, not even reacting as she sat still compliantly.Zira opened her eyes and then looked to Kae silently.Kae had been watching them, patiently waiting then Zira looked to her. Kae nodded again, "I see... her Malice is stronger than was originally thought." she seemed to reply. Then she quirked an eyebrow cautiously. "She's not supposed to have healing.."Zira turned her attention back to Hexxis and lifted her shirt to show the wound that was still healing, in the same place as where the malice had stabbed Tri. Zira then titled her head a bit and then moved her hand to carefully outline the bruise on her face.Kae showed a hint of confusion and intrigue. Turning to look at Mara, she kept her usual stern expression. "From what Zira can gather, Hexxis has a power that she did not have before. Some kind of healing. But refuses to heal the bruise on her face." she relayed then walked over to Zira and Hexxis, staring down at them.Zira was staring at Hexxis again. "Maybe it would be better to say it then." she suddenly spoke, her voice just as bland and robotic as when Hexxis talked. Her voice sounded far more mature than her body looked.Hexxis looked to Zira, looking just as deadpan, but a hint of concern shown through.Kae seemed to glare, "Zira." she commanded sharply.Zira kept her focus on Hexxis. "That is a fairly trivial matter, child..."Zira. That's enough." she shot more sternly.She looked to Kae and nodded, removing her hands from Hexxi's face as she came to a stand. She looked back down to the girl again, "Hexxis, go to sleep." she spoke softly then stepped back to Kae's side.Hexxis blinked slowly as she seemed to be suddenly falling asleep, slumping over to plop back into a laying position on the bed, unconscious.Kae look like she was was going to say something else in irritation but sighed. Turning her attention back to Mara, "So you said that she had stabbed Tri.. Surprised she's still alive." she half-joked, though her face wouldn't show that she meant it as a joke. "I can try to make a better inhibitor for the malice, but that's not without it's risk, what with having to remove the one she has to put on a new one." she looked to Hexxis sleeping on the bed. "I figured that why she still has the inhibitors from Spectrum still on." She wasn't going to even ask why Hexxis was still wearing the clothes she'd received from Spectrum.

"Heal...ing?" Mara frowned moving closer to look at the wound on Hexxis's abdomen with a frown. "And she did not have it before? So how?..."Parroting them as she thought, her hand reaching out to touch the edge of the wound but then stopping and pulling back as Zira spoke enigmatically with hexxis.
Once she was asleep Mara shook her head. "The placement of the wound matches up with where Tri was stabbed, it had also been considered near miraculous that many of his internal organs weren't more damaged ..." She tapped her fingers staring down at Hexxis intently, glancing up at Kae and shaking her head. "He started getting attached, I started it thinking it would make the transition easier but ... Hmph " pulling away she moved all the way to Hexxis, giving Zira a passing but curious glance. "Think it will be possible if we heavily sedate her? " she looked up at both of them questioningly, not sure what to think now.

Kae folded her arms but placed a hand to her chin in thought. "Zira?" she questioned, not even looking at her while she stared at Hexxis, analyzing the situation. After a few moments, Kae shook her head, "Zira, out loud." she corrected."Comparing the verbal evidence to the physical wounds on Hexxis, it can be assumed she might have healed him by trying to take on part of the inflictions herself." she turned to look at Mara. "Also, it is not 100% certain that her Malice will not activate during her unconscious or sedated state. However, if I may volunteer, I can be the one to change the collars. In the event that the Malice surfaces, I am very capable of fighting against it. Even in it's currently strengthened state." Zira explained, offering to help.Kae nodded in agreement to Zira's words. "It seems like that may be the safest choice if it were to come to that. The last thing that is needed is for the Malice to wake and start trying to stab non-metas with weapons. That would cause an uproar so quick, it's not worth the risk otherwise." she thought on the idea for a moment more before looking to Mara, seeing what she'd think of Zira's suggestion.

Mara looked between them with a frown, a telepath? . "A malice uses the body right? If we add a muscle relaxer with the sedative...even if it does wake....harder to coordinate" she grinned slightly. "While you change the collar. The more safe guards we can out the safer I will feel for everyone " he said with a slight nod to them. "Let's do that if you can upgrade the collar " she said looking at Kae questioningly, wondering if there was something more she was here for.
Mara stopped and frown as he phone rang. She lifted a hand automatically and answered it. ".....what?! Damn him. Damn them both!!. Evacuate that wing. I'm heading there. No one confront them. She can use electricity we don't know the distance. Stay ready " she hanged up and looked at Kae and Zira. "Sorry, minor problem.... " she turned and looked at Hexxis then up at Zira then Kae. she opened her mouth then shut it, that odd power to control others ...she got Kage under it, spthey didn't need another meta under it. "Never mind. Stay here. It is safer here, we have an escape meta prisoner we need to go control " she said already thinking of the quickest way to the room where he armor is. She left without waiting for their answer .

Her brain was ticking now. "Yes, that would work. The soul is locked within each other until there is enough power to separate from one another. She's too young for the malice to have garnered enough power. But Yes, the more safe guards, the better." she agreed. There was a glimmer of excitement behind her cold eyes as her mind was already thinking of adjustments for the collar. "I'm confident I can upgrade the collar." she retorted, a grin was threatening to take onto her face but a phone call interrupted her thoughts. Quirking an eyebrow as Mara spoke on the phone, seemed there was an addition to the list of things making Mara restless. 'Electricity.' Interesting. Before Kae could inquire, Mara was already gone."Two unrestrained metas are loose. A shadow key user and a fallen electricity user." she announced to Kae."Curious..." she whispered. "Zira." she called her name as Zira nodded and they made their way back out, shutting the door behind them to Hexxis' room.
