Being back on Earth felt eerily quiet and surreal after everything that had happened up till now. Drunken fights outside of late night bars or clubs seemed so insignificant when compared to the ordeal they had all been through. Acrucis’ magic was a wonderful thing but it only hid the physical injuries and offered no salve for anything that wasn’t on the surface.

How many had died in the Rift? How many remained missing that Cosmos was unable to grab onto? How many more will die when retaliation comes charging at them head on?

Their actions were not without consequence and given the fight the Negaverse put up in trying to keep them from leaving, there was no doubt in Sidouer’s mind that things were about to get a whole lot uglier and a hell of a lot harder for all of them.

“So what now?” The sound of her raspy voice from all the smoke inhalation finally broke the silence as she stood by both Phact and Sabine with her arms crossed over her chest in a way it suggested it would be best to not touch her right now.

The motion had been simple to return them all back to Earth. Something she was used to after so many visits to the moon on her own. But this time she came back now full of wonder but full of sorrow. The numbers of lives lost that night was something she doubted anyone but the Cauldron would ever know. But it was something she knew she would not soon forget.

What Cosmos had told them, about coming together, honestly meant very little to the senshi of doves. That had been something she personally had know for ages. So thanks for the smack in the face.

Now all she could do was stand there, a hand gently stroking Sabine’s hair. It was nearly as mindless as it was meaningful. A comfort to Phact knowing that the young woman was alive.

A long sigh followed as she heard Sidouer’s voice and turned to gaze at the woman. “Isn’t that always the question?” She stated as her shoulders fell. “My thoughts are we take a step back. Recover and refocus. Tonight is over and if we do not recover, physically and mentally, we are no good for tomorrow.” Phact’s voice was shaky but she knew what she had to say even if others didn’t want to hear it. “Because tomorrow is going to come whether we like it or not.”

The transition from moon to Earth was strange, but not unfamiliar. Granted, it had only been one trip with Phact that one time. That trip had sparked so much in the young Sabine, had driven her to study her sphere, to learn all she could about tactics and what it entailed. What little good it had done her, really. A part of her wanted tomorrow to come. Another part…

Another part wondered why it was that she had escaped unscathed and unharmed and alive and so many others did not. How she had managed to survive, even as so many others had died, or worse, would be corrupted in the aftermath of this all. The information from Cosmos had rolled over her, taking root but not fully sinking in.

They were disjointed and discombobulated. They had always been. Would they be able to work together ever? She had with Phact and scant few others - but even she had broken ranks in the heat of battle and gotten separated from them all. Then she had frozen up… and...

Sabine didn’t want to be Sabine anymore. So she wasn’t.

Mercy looked at the two other senshi and just leaned into Phact, her hand shakily reaching for her phone to text her roommate that she was just going to stay at her parents house for the night. “Can… I stay with you tonight Phact?” She asked, voice weak and small. “I don’t… think I can be alone right now.”

Arthur was curled beside Sabine, watching the glowing blur of the world travel away from the moon and the aftermath towards the familiar and unaffected landscape of Destiny City still wrapped in the ignorance of a cool morning. It was troubling to know that his vary title was one he severely failed in. Guardian. Someone to watch over and guide. He had done nothing of that but rush about the battlefield as worth notice or directed as a mangy stray caught in 5 o'clock traffic.

He was older and grown, yet the one with the most direction and confidence was a young girl. It might of hurt his pride if he ever pretended to know what he was doing in this life. Instead, he only served as another witness to watch countless children his kind had brought into their powers cut down and lost.

The smell of metal burned his nose.

Seeing the youngest of the group powered down Sidouer all but sighed as she followed suit. Though they’d only met on two occasions she knew Mercy from talking with Delilah. Sweet girl and one the raven haired woman beside her simply adored, it was a shame that someone so innocent had to be a part of that battle. It’d be a hard pill to swallow but at least the young girl, otherwise known as Sabine, wouldn’t be so eager to do something haphazardly especially after seeing the way she leaned against Phact.

“It’s more important now than before that none of us power up alone. Word of caution, there will undoubtedly be some sort of retaliation. My biggest concern is with the Senshi and Knights that have no idea what happened tonight, they will be the ones most vulnerable to attack. But after what happened when we split up…” Mei stopped and pursed her lips into a thin line to keep herself from saying something she probably shouldn’t.

The way how everyone in her group split up the moment they stepped into the building was more infuriating than anything. Caution to the wind as they say and aside from Havasu and Nirvana sticking together everyone just went their own way. Nobody seemed to care that one of their own, as well as a few others, fell down a deep hole; it was stupid and disorganized but at least the youma was dead and as far as she knew everyone that had went into the huge underground room had made it out. Whether or not Cosmos was able to save them that was another story altogether.

Mei drew in a deep breath and let it out slowly absently looking down at Mercy. There were no words of comfort she could offer the young girl that would make her feel better. Where she was shakily holding onto the Senshi of Doves, Mei was ready to go beat the s**t out of the fallen General. The wounds she received from him were all but gone thanks to Acrucis but it didn’t negate what he had done; though she had to admit that she found some satisfaction that he finally showed his true colors. “I think I’m going to find someone to patrol with for a few hours if you want to take them home.” The comment was directed towards Phact while Mei nodded towards the girl and snow colored cat beside her.

She was far too angry to go home just yet.
