Melody had been in surgery for who knows how long, finally able to recover over time. She stirred lightly, wincing a bit as tossed a little bit. Her eyes fluttered open suddenly as she sat up with a gasp and a small shriek. Taking a deep breath to steady herself, she realized she was in the waking world now, but not any place she had been familiar with. She was alone, in what looked like a medical bed. Where was she? What had happened? Thinking back, the last thing she remembered was a gun being pointed at her, she winced again, a pain in her bandaged shoulder confirmed what the result of the altercation was. A part of her swore he was pointing at her chest, but brushed aside the idea, thankful that it was only her shoulder. She looked around with worry on her brow as she clenched the blanket draped over her lap tightly. "...h-hello.." she whispered in her frail voice. She wasn't sure who would answer. Would it be a doctor? A researcher? The enemy? The anticipation made her heart begin to beat quickly as she moved a hand to the gem on her chest, resting it lightly on top.

Mara rested her forehead on her hand as she twirl a black feather in her other hand. She had been doing that for the past 10 minutes just relaxing in the rare moment of -silence-. Tri had made it through miraculously and so had the little meta girl. Then Tri has to be sedated because he was an idiot and Ree was also still out luckily without ever knowing Tri has been so close to death. Politic wise... she didn't even want to think about that. Then there was that other new meta ...and Andy and Hexxis.... HEXXIS..... grr.
Taking a deep breath she dropped Tri's feather back in her desk drawer and reached out for one of the first letters as her phone rang. Moving to it she answered it instead." Yes?. What? already? fine I am going. Careful she is a child but she can still hurt" she muttered before hanging up and pushing of her chair. Well then...
Some minutes later she typed her pin into the door hearing it snick open as she turned the handle and went in with two other people, oneof them wearing her prototype armor while she was in office wear. The door closed behind them as she looked at the girl on the bed...the meta muse...the supposed daughter oh Rasielt he child killer and Andy interesting...since neither was a muse. Yet rasel's markings were obviously growing in ..... child killer...did she know? wouldn't -that- be fun to tell her.
"So..... hmph. My name is (title) Marai Gold, You're currently my ....." she tilted her head as if deciding and finally landed on something "guest". "What is your name?"

The room reminded her of the facility she grew up in, somehow more unsettling than comforting. She looked down to see her bracelet was missing, which made sense, they'd have to remove all her affects to perform surgery. She moved her hand from her gem to her shoulder, shuddering lightly as she remembered back on what happened. She could have sworn she heard Leukos call her name, but she figured it must of just been her imagination because when she had looked, no one was there. Or was that Andy? She did Andy scream her name. And a white-haired meta. Did he save her? Was he from this facility? She had so many questions as the door suddenly opened and she jolted in surprise, causing a shot of pain through her shoulder again. A woman walked in with two others, one of the in an armored suit. Melody withdrew a bit in a slight tinge of fear, was the armor necessary? She was just a kid and she didn't even really have any powers that could hurt anyone. Though, she had been with Andy. Maybe they thought she was stronger than she really was.
/My name is Mara Gold. You're currently my... guest. What is your name?/
Melody was already shaking despite her wish to remain still and confident, the fear showing on her face easily she she darted her eyes down to her lap hesitantly. "..M-melody.. Heart." she answered softly, her voice so fragile like it could break with a stiff wind. She furrowed her eyebrows in concern as she averted her eyes from Mara. "..w-where am I.." she asked, hopefully they would tell her good news. Like she was just in a different section of Spectrum, or that she was just in a meta-friendly hospital. She then slid her eyes hesitantly back at Mara, "..is.... Leukos here?.." she asked, with pain in her voice as she looked like she might cry, too scared to keep her emotions under control. She regretted running away, and was now realizing the full weight of her actions that separated herself from the only person she really considered her family.

"No he isn't" Mara said curtly, gold eyes examining Melody closely getting the odd twinge of familiarity that was paired with a feeling of satisfaction. As if she was happy to see her scared and could not think of any reason why she should be.
"Your in the medical wing of the SIU military research facility. We have some questions that we hope you will answer willingly " she said blandly, making no effort in even trying to quell her fears.

Mara told her that Leukos wasn't there and she frowned, her heart hurt, she didn't like being this far away from Leukos for this long. Just like when she would go with Andy to see her daddy. Andy. She tried to keep her eyes on Mara, but it was difficult. "..a-andy?.." she forced out quietly, inquiring what happened to Andy in the mess of things. She was unsure whether these people were the ones that attacked them or saved her, since there was a possibility the Andy might have been taken by someone else. She blinked nervously as she averted her eyes away again, looking down at her lap as she seemed extremely worried. Medical wing of a military research facility? So it wasn't spectrum. As Mara inquired about questioning her, Melody nodded slowly, complying with the request willingly, her body language showing her unease about being in such a familiar place.

"Detained" Mara said simply her gaze sharpening when Melody looked away and she was left looking at the top of her head, black hair nearly the same shades as Andys. "First question then. Are you Andy and Rasiel's daughter? If not who are your parents" the reason they were after them in the first place, the rumors that had been circulating quietly through the Sanctuary. Rumors that Ree picked up and transferred over.

Melody hesitated as the word detained surfaced. She knew what that meant, that wording was usually only used for bad guys or for someone who was labeled as a danger to others. She looked to Mara suddenly with deep concern and opened her mouth to speak, but Mara began her question. Andy and Rasiel? Andy wasn't her parent, she knew that. Or was she? She was still unsure that Zaku was really her father or someone that would merely play the roll from now on, which she didn't mind. She was desperate for a parent and would take anything at this point. Especially over Lucian. Rasiel, however, the name was familiar, as she thought back to her encounter with the red-headed lady. Trying to collect her thoughts into a coherent series of words she then spoke, "I.. I never had parents.. Professor Rhun took care of Leukos and I since I was born.. After I came to the sanctuary, he was too busy for me... So Andy was taking me to see my new daddy in the hospital. There was a red-headed lady that asked me if Rasiel was my daddy because of my face. But I don't know." she confessed, the pain in her eyes showing her desperation for affection from a parent figure. "I was with Leukos' daddy or a while.. but he kept saying I reminded him of Rasiel..." tears were filling her eyes. "I don't even know who that is!" she cried out, as she fought back the urge to cry. Mara had hit the one topic that she was the most insecure about, her lack of parents. "..i don't... know.. my parents.."

Mara's eyes narrowed slightly as she glared down at Melody...going to the hospital to see her new daddy...where they transferring them over to Zaku and the EE? New Renagade recruits, trained to be loyal to them as they grow? Then again...wasn't she doing the same. But if the Sanctuary was supplying them with orphans... Hm.
"Your new Daddy what is his name? " she said quietly "and Leukos's daddy as well" Didn't Rhun tell Ree there were two orphans at the sanctuary? Melody just said she and Leukos were taken care of by Rhun ...but now the other one had a daddy pop up? Likely reunited at the sanctuary but might be intresting to know encase they could catch Leukos as well...or maybe even recruit them.

Thinking back, she never caught what her new daddy's name was, but she did at least know a bit about Leukos' father. "Andy didn't tell me his name. Just that he would be my daddy. He was really nice to me." she paused, thinking about the other question, "I don't know his name either. He told us stories about his own mom, the lady who died a long time ago. She was killed by the guy everyone keeps thinking is my father.." she lowered her head, knowing only enough about Rasiel from Lucian that he was a murderer. Maybe that information would help them in knowing who Leukos' father was. "I just... I never had parents. Luekos says that Professor Rhun found my egg and took me to Spectrum and so he watched after me. And also Mirabelle, she also helped take care of us. Leukos would tell me how his daddy would come back after finding his Aunt Andy. He was gone a long time because Leukos' mommy had died." she was explaining a lot, her whole life story even. Usually she was fairly quiet, but her fear was causing her to ramble on. She didn't know how relevant the information was, but then again she didn't know what it was they were looking for asking her about her parents as she wiped her face with her sleeve, trying to stop crying. "..is he... is rasiel.." she couldn't even finish her sentence as a lump formed in her throat and the words strained far past what she could muster.

Alice or some other meta? ... ugh. someone else would find this whole lineage thing a lot more interesting than me// she thought listening as she started getting daddies and fathers mixed up, obviously no one tried to give her a mother type figure or even names sometimes.
//wait aunt Andy? Andy... hospital...Zaku. Rhun ....are you now hiding the EE? // darn it she wanted names... but she had something.. she just needed to rewatch the video being recorded now and let her mind go through the steps one by one. Mental exhaustion was finally catching up with her it seemed.
Tri would have been perfect here... he would know how to handle her maybe. Okay she raised Tri but he never was as emotional as other kids were even so he somehow got the Mal-..Hexxis to like him, even Ree was more independent. Maybe it was just the Shadow part of them, but this Muse...she looked desperate with the crying the fearful look in her eyes. But she wasn't sympathetic....only the constant sense of satisfaction stayed.
"Rasiel the Killer is what he is called. Supposedly killed a multitude of people through the years but first started with children. " she said pulling out her phone and turning it on as she skimmed through the bounties until she found Rasiels and looked at it them up at Melody then back. No doubt... just ...no doubt. "Here " she turned it over and handed it it to her.
"Swipe your finger and you can see the bounties for the others. We work on hunting down those metas and others that are both a danger to human or to all living things. Your Rasiel is one of the latter ones, a danger to everyone no matter the species. The former ..those would be the people in the EE of which Andy, Zaku, Lucien and Kira are a part of. They have systematically taken down top officials and in some cases just wanton deaths of humans because they could, especially Andy. She recently killed Senator Dimitri who she was married for 5 years. " Mara said coldly.
"Possibly you new daddy was going to be the Leader of the EE ... making you one of their newest recruits.. eventually. Currently there is a hospital in ruins caused by him and his accomplice. If we hadn't been the ones there and it was another group that would have been a high death toll since they destabilized one of the middle levels....so ....think of a sandwich.. crash crash...boom" moving her hand to show this.

Melody cautiously watched Mara pull her phone out and look at something. As she turned the phone to her, handing it over. she stared at the picture of Rasiel with pained eyes as it was becoming apparently clear she really was the daughter of Rasiel the Killer. She reached her other hand up to her marking, touching it lightly as she gazed at the picture and read the charges. Child Killings. It was making her stomach churn in distress as she slowly cycled through the bounties. She saw Leukos' father, "..that's Leukos' dad." she confirmed, then saw Kira but didn't recognize her. She paused on Obscurite, "..she told me I was Rasiel's daughter.." she confirmed as well. Then flipped to Andy, her chest burning as heart ached, she was a criminal, just like her supposed father and Leukos' dad. This was a lot to take in. She didn't say anything about Andy for the moment as she stares at the picture, reading the charges, tears welling up in her eyes again. Then she swiped to Zaku and her eyes widened as she dropped the phone in her lap and covered her mouth like she might throw up. Her stomach hurt so bad now, a dreaded unsettling feeling rise up within her. "..a-andy... t-tricked me??.. " she managed to force out weakly, clearly devastated by the news that she had only been a pawn to be recruited into their criminal group, probably raised to kill people and she couldn't handle that she was being used like that. She closed her eyes tightly, choking back sobs as her world came crashing down around her. They had demolished the hospital she was going to, would they have killed her then if she had figured it out. Or would that have been the time they would have kidnapped her from the sanctuary. It was all too much to bare as she buried her face into her hands. "..wh-what.. do i do..." she swallowed hard as she hesitated, "..wh-what.. about Professor Rhun.."

"Perhaps. I do not know what was going through their minds, maybe they were thinking of using you to replace Kira. As for Professor Rhun we have nothing on him. It seem like he is what he says so far. However, why does he seem to be helping the EE get new recruits? " an assumption but she was carefully cutting off that path too.
She just raised a brow "I know this is a lot to take in... and it might seem cruel of me to say this so soon... but we are trying to fight against them... stop them. We assumed you were part of it, rumors being said you were Andy and Rasiel's child, so you can understand why we would try to go after you.... the person who shot you though... that was not part of the plan. That I take full responsibility for, we were not trying to harm you.. but it is hard to always tell what someone believe and what they hate." she shook her head slightly.
"Human's aren't perfect but neither are non-humans or metas. The wars of the past ....I don't agree with them but they were fought, now we see what can be done in a future and learn from the past. These group..they are pushing to start another war with humans and metas. Humans will be quick to respond.. to push for it... it isn't pretty but diplomacy has been lost eons ago. We are trying to bring it back... show the other how to co-exist but not while one small fraction of the meta species keeps killing political leaders and civilians and gaining their hate. I am sorry you have to learn this way... but in a way maybe it is better you did now" she said reaching out for her phone again.

What reason did she have to believe otherwise, the evidence and facts laid out right before her. She had all the tools to form an opinion, despite her reluctance to want to accept it. What other option was there. And Rhun seemed to have played a hand in it, and even if he didn't, she didn't want to go back to being neglected. And she certainly didn't want to go back under Lucian's care. Then there was Andy. That deceit hurt the most. She thought she could consider herself close, but now that trust was shattered. Quickly deeming everyone from her past a liar, she closed her eyes, angry and upset. She dared not even think if Leukos was apart of it. She couldn't handle that heartbreak to know, so she pushed it from her mind. "I.. can't really fight.." she started in softly. "But I want to get stronger... I want to protect people." she confessed as she opened her eyes to look at Mara again, her eyes determined but still full of sorrow. "If I exist because of a madman.. a killer.. then I want to right those wrongs.. and save people." what other choice would she have, she could never stop being Rasiel's daughter, but she could try to put herself in the best light, give herself a chance to be accepted as her own rather than a product of a murderer. "...what if Andy.. is really my mom.." she spoke, mostly talking to herself at this point as she tried to pick out more lies from her childhood, having a hard time distinguishing between true and false. Eventually she shook her head, just pushing her past behind her, refusing to look back. "Let me help."

"Tell me then. Those you want to protect.. the people you want to protect. What kind of people are you talking about? or are you talking about all the races?" she said blandly but was actually very intrested while anyone else in her position would ask directly for human she wanted to know the extend of Melody's beliefs and that includes what she thinks would be worth protecting.
"It would be easy to check if she is your mother. we just need a vial or two of your blood anyways and one of hers. But at the end ...she had killed many people and enjoyed it. So even if she was your mother... she is also as killer. You don't have to be " she said quietly, the surge of satisfaction at her confusion faded a bit, at least she didn't want to kick her in the fa-.... kick her. Oh s**t. Taking a deep breath she pocketed the phone again and kept her composure barely. "You want to help.... can you stomach having to fight them? or do you wish to help from the sidelines while others fight? "

She thought about it for a moment, she wanted to ask what kind of people her estranged father had killed, but immediately concluded that it didn't matter. Who was she to value one life over another like that. It would make her no different than murderers. "I want to protect everyone. Anyone that I can." she responded, her voice beginning to have more volume as she was finding her voice again. The suggestion of the blood tests to see if Andy was her mother, she thought about the possibility of Zaku being her actual father but decided not to say anything about it at the moment. They might change their mind to let her help them if they found out she was the daughter of Rasiel the Killer and the leader of the renegade. ".. you're right." she agreed with Mara. Either way, she was the daughter of not one, but two killers. She didn't want anything to do with senseless killing like them. Melody felt she was better than that. As the question whether she could handle fighting, she swallowed hard. "I've never had to fight before.." she admitted, frowning a bit. "But I want to try. If I can't, then I can just help some other way. But I want to at least try." she was determined to make a difference, to change what her lineage had caused. She looked at Mara with pleading eyes, as she desperately just wanted to prove she wasn't like her family. She was different.
