Barter and Haggle Prompt 2
Can be used toward Solo or RP req
Lately, the local market places have been filled with new traders offering their wares. It seem as if many across the land are trying their hand at selling clothing, weapons, and trinkets. With so many new faces, now is the best time to go to the market and barter for the best prices.
So go ahead and grab your goods or grab your gold and take a shot at bartering.
This prompt can be played from either side: your character can be the merchant, or can be looking to purchase an item. Groups can RP with both characters on the same side, or trying to barter with each other.

The marketplace that he was able to find, finally, was rather crowded with mostly Obans, but not only them. There were others here from some of the other tribes, and he couldn't help but to stare at them with his mouth agape, "Wow..." He wasn't sure what it was that he was expecting to see when he came into the village but seeing other tribes wasn't one of them. He smiled, heading forward into the marketplace, looking from side to side, thoughtfully.
To think that he wouldn't be the only outsider he thought to himself before he started forward, his eyes scanning everyone in the crowd, pausing from time to time to lock on some of the Obans, "Wow..." They really were beautiful, weren't they? Just look at those crystals! They were big, beautiful chunks of crystals that looked as though they were made of sun light! He lifted a hand, reaching out as though he was able to touch one of those crystals, but never got the chance as someone bumped into him, sending him stumbling a couple steps to the side. Once he'd recovered the one he had been reaching toward was already on his way away from Bisera. It was a shame since he wouldn't be able to get near to him but it might have been a good thing, it kept him from getting into trouble. He didn't know if he would insult the guy were he to go touching him without permission, meaning whoever bumped him saved him.
Alright, he had to keep going, to find himself a merchant, and avoid feeling up any other strangers. He had to behave, had to focus, and had to get these trades done he told himself as he started forward again. It took him a bit of time but he found a booth dealing in gems and jewelry, which was what he'd been looking for. Bisera found himself in line behind some others, looking around the area, taking in the crowd once more, and then the things for sale once he was able to see what was laid out for sale. He was starring again, his eyes scanning things, and as he was inspecting things it became his turn... and he didn't seem to notice it. Instead he was starring, his gaze lifting slowly when a hand waved in front of his face, and he found himself looking at the merchant. He blinked slowly then gave a gasp, "Wow! You're really handsome." He said, his words escaping from him before he realized it.
The man blinked a couple times before giving a laugh, "Thank you I think? Now, can I help you?" The man asked, motioning to the things he had laid out and asked, "Anything that you are interested in other then my handsome self which isn't for sale?"
Bisera's cheeks colored a bit before he said, "I was looking to sell something that I brought with me from Sauti and Tale, as well as some things that I made myself. I find myself in need of supplies to continue the journey I am on." He dug into his pack, taking out some of the crystals that he'd found in the cave that Xarn had explored, showing them to the man. He also got out some gorogorum scales that he had a good amount of from back home, "These are some of what I have brought with me."
The man reached out to pick up the crystals, holding them up to the light, studying, them, before picking up a scale, studying it as well. From there the two of them got work on the haggling part of their meeting. What the man felt the things were worth, what Bisera thought they were worth, and a back and forth between them so that they could find a good middle ground. Along with the crystals and scales the merchant found a couple pieces that Bisera had made that he wanted as well. It was nice to have interest show in his work, though he knew there was much improvement that he still needed if he wanted to be as good as his father one day.
It took a bit of time, the two of them tossing prices back and forth, but soon Bisera found his pack a little lighter and some coin in hand that he'd be able to use to get the supplies that the group needed. It was something exciting that had his heart racing, "Thank you so very much!" Bisera said, smiling up a storm as he tucked away the coin that he'd been given. Now, to find the others and figure out exactly what it was that they needed to keep moving forward toward their goal of Matori!
