Remembering the Past
Prompt 3

Can be used toward Solo or RP req

It has been seven long years since the Great Oban Invasion. It almost feels like a dream, considering all of the changes that have occurred in Tendaji since the great war. A new King sits on the Oban throne, and he has opened the boundaries of Oba and Matori. Many already are taking advantage of the open boarders to travel and explore. The world was expanding and changing all things to the massive war of the great nations.

Since the war, Tendaji took a stand against the extremist Alkidikes and won. They came together to show a new alliance that many could never dream of. Everything was settling, and now that there finally was peace everyone has begun to to take a moment and remember all that has come and gone.

How have the major wars and changes impacted your character these past few years? Are they bitter for their failures or happy about their success? Do they see a peaceful future to come or are they concerned about those who may be still holding grudges?

[Characters not part or even alive during the war can still respond to this prompt. Maybe they have a different way of understanding the war compared to those who were part of it, so feel free to explore those feelings and thoughts in your response]

Bisera had to admit that it was really, really strange to find himself in a place like this. He was actually in Oba! He had never thought that he would end up here, but then again he'd never thought that he would leave home before. The moment that he'd finally decided to go on his trip he really hadn't expected to make it this far. Just getting to Tale had been a rather exciting thing, Bisera never having left Sauti in his life time. It was after getting to Tale that he had met Xarn, which seemed to help him all that much more. It gave him a good friend, someone that brought him on adventures, protected him, made sure that he didn't wander off or get lost, and he was someone that gave him all manner of inspiration for his work as well.

It was because of Xarnith that he was here in the first place. Would he have made it to Oba if it wasn't for his new friend? Would he have run away? Would he have run home? It was really hard to say... especially since, given his attention span, he might have very well gotten himself lost a long time ago. Xarnith was a good guy, one that had gotten him this far, and allowed him to see things that were far beyond him. Looking around he gave a smile before he knelt down, scooping up some sand, letting the glittering gold flow through his hands like a river of sparkles. It it wasn't for Xarnith he wouldn't have been able to make it this far, that was something that he knew for certain. It wasn't that he was afraid, in fact he was curious, but that curiosity was something that might very well have gotten him into trouble if he wasn't careful where he went or who he met with.

Bisera wanted to see the Obans, to meet them, talk with them... and to sketch them... as silly as that sounded. He'd heard that they were something lovely to behold, with dark hair and skin, fiery colored crystals on their skin, and pink eyes! If one could add that into an Oban that was built well, strong and burly, he would have something wonderful to draw! As much as he didn't want to admit it out loud, though was fine admitting it to himself, Bisera had a thing for muscles. There was nothing better then the way that muscles moved and worked together for giving him all manner of inspiration. He'd heard that he should be cautious around the Obans, that they were a dangerous lot that started war and kept slaves... and yet he couldn't help but to be curious about them!

There were also the Alkidike that he couldn't help but to wonder about, having heard all manner of things about them as well, but had been unable to really spend enough time near to them to form an opinion one way or the other. They were warring as well... but only a faction of them he told himself, something that he wasn't too worried about since the scary ones had been sent away. He had moments where he thought about them, wondering how they were fairing, but knew that it probably wasn't a thought they'd welcome. Instead they would see him more as an enemy so the idea of wanting to sit down with one of them to sketch them wouldn't pan out. Instead he'd have to find a more amiable one, huh? Better that way, he wouldn't be put at any sort of risk that way. The last thing he wanted was to get in over his head and require Xarnith to save him... he didn't want his new friend to get hurt after all.

Shifting himself so that he was sitting down Bisera scooped up a bit more sand, letting it flow through his fingers, watching it as it did so. There was a lot that he could miss if he had stayed home and even if there were scary things, as well as scary people in the world, he didn't want to miss anything. He wanted to see the Obans, the Alkidike, to even meet the people of the toxic island if it were at all possible. There was so much that he wanted to see so he was glad that he'd come this far. Now he just had to start pulling his weight he thought to himself. Maybe he could sell some of the pieces he'd made as well as some of the extra supplies. He could help out with getting supplies, make sure that he wasn't a burden on Xarnith or the group he was with. If he worked really hard he could see everything in the world that he wanted to see, even the rarer things!

Letting the last of the sand fall Bisera pushed to his feet and headed to where he'd left his pack. They were close to a city now, so it was the best time for him to go and try to trade with the Obans! If he were lucky maybe he could even chat with one for a bit? Here was to hoping!
