Pinching the corner of the page between forefinger and thumb, Slievenamon ripped it from her memo pad and sent it drifting off with the night's wind. It was soon followed by another, and another, until the squire had ripped at least half of her book's worth of notes. Letting out a dissatisfied sigh, she groaned and splayed herself out on her back the warehouse's roof; her legs dangling precariously over its edge.
"I'm bored," she muttered aloud to no one in particular.
Wonderful things tended to lose their charm after a while and Slievenamon found herself going through the same qualms with this little dilemma. It wasn't that she was tired of learning about things—far from it, actually—but it was that the squire hadn't learned anything new lately. Her recent encounters recanted all of the things she had known already. Even the first experience of guilt from tearing away her precious notes and filching them like garbage wasn't enough; she had read and reread all of them enough times that it didn't matter if she got rid of them.
It's not like it matters, anyway. It's all in my head.
Pushing herself up to sitting again, Slievenamon picked up her shell flute, licked her lips, and pressed the tip to her lips. She blew and began to play the gentle tune she had come to know by heart. At least that would pass the time.

Lassell was on one of his night time patrols, he paused as he jumped roofs. He paused as he heard a faint tune in the distance, he took a minute to gauge whether or not the presence was a threat to him. He had not been out on patrol in a long time so he was a little rusty, but if his energy sensing skills taught him anything, it taught him to be extra careful. He tilted his head as he listened for a bit longer, it didn't sound like it was the negaverse or any of the bad guys.
He pulled out his lyre and started to strum a soft melody back towards the tune. He was slowly making his way closer as he played, he would never know unless he got closer to the source of the tune. He slowed his pace from his original to make sure he was cautious on approach because wasn't sure who this one, he still needed a lot more practice and he hadn't kept up with his squire training so he would have to base his approach on a gut feeling.

The squire's eyes snapped open in the middle of her playing as her shell flute fell away from her lips. Well, that's odd, she thought, unaware how to process that sudden reply to her playing. Was someone messing with her? She had traveled far from the limits of regular civilians, so she hadn't expected company, but when the blip of an energy signature registered in her mind, Slievenamon became aware there wasn't anything to fear. It seemed as though she had company and, while her distance made her unaware of whether it was a threat or not, she still got to her feet and honed in out the source.
To her, it meant only one thing: They were a powered individual, they knew things she didn't, so that means she had to have a little chat with them like it or not.

Lassell, dropped from his playing as he started to hone in the signature. After breezing by the roofs of buildings along the street he stopped when he was on top a building beside the origin of the sound, he jumped onto the the roof that was the current host to another powered. He blinked and gazed at her. His eyes looking at her uniform, the colors and the outfit rang a bell, only knights of Neptune wore that color.
He tilted his head to the side Intriguing... this was the first time he had met a fellow Neptune knight, probably because he did not get out much at all and it was hard to track down fellow Neptune Knights in Destiny City, because the place was huge and was mixed with different energy types. He truly was rusty at his energy sensing ability, that thought was a downer. He shook his head at himself slightly at his thoughts before he introduced himself. "Hello, My name is Lassell, Squire of Neptune" he said bowing ever so slightly at the other.

When she saw him, constellations sparkled in her eyes; enough stars to rival the heavens themselves. That's because, when Slievenamon saw him, her mind registered just one thing: Friend. There was no denying he was also a knight of Neptune and though she wasn't blessed with having met one before, she had now. It took everything in her to not bombard him with a ton of questions, so the squire settled on flipping open her memo pad to one of the blank pages still remaining within and messily scribbling his name on the first line.
"Hey, hello there, hoi," she said, her voice giddily rising in pitch. "It's nice to meet you, Lassell! I'm Slievenamon, also a knight of Neptune. Which means we're both from the same planet. Which means we're both, like, comrades. That's awesome."
Okay, tone it down there, Satchmo...
She pointed the back of her pen behind him, as if indicating something that obviously wasn't there. "I'm guessing you were the one who replied to my playing just now?" she asked. "You really caught me off guard just now; I didn't think there was anyone else down here at night. Not to say I didn't have a few encounters or anything." She shook her head. "I'm guessing you're not new to knighthood? Your energy signature doesn't really strike me as page-ish."

Lassell, tilted his head to the side as he noted her excitement in meeting another Knight of Neptune. This was also his first time meeting a fellow Knight of Neptune, since he hadn't met one ever and there was always a first time for everything. Curious...she had a notepad.
"Hello" he said hearing her voice go higher in pitch. "Its nice to meet you Slievenamon, is there a shorter version of your name?" he asked her, it was a mouthful and he wasn't sure if he was pronouncing it right either. He nodded his head "I suppose that does mean that" he told her agreeing with her. He blinked as she pointed the back of her pen at him. He wondered what he needed a notepad and pen for.
"Ay! that was me, needed to make sure you weren't a threat to me or anything" he told her nodding his head once again. He shrugged as well "I didn't think so either, Usually my night patrols aren't eventful" he told her. He shook his head at her question "Nope, I'am not and from the looks of it you aren't either, you don't dress like a page" he told her.

Slievenamon steadily scribbled all she could on the memo pad's page as if the details were the most important things to document. Without looking to Lassell, but her hand still steadily at work, she said, "Slieve works, pronounced like "sleeve." I wish my name wasn't such a mouthful." She stopped her writing momentarily and looked to him before going back to her work.
"Same, same. My nights aren't as interesting as well. Some nights I just give up on patrols and settle down here on this warehouse to go over my notes." She perked up the hand holding the notepad. "I'm trying to jot down all of the info I can; there's a lot I want to know to be a knight and I feel as if I've only scratched the surface."
Slievenamon stopped again when he noted her attire; reflexively glancing down to her squire outfit before giving an embarrassed chuckle. "Yea, I'm a squire too, but I've only gained my powers recently. Haven't really tested them out on anything other than youma, though the Aspect's really fun. Sooo..." Her pen twitched impatiently in her hand. "Have you been to your wonder yet? Can you tell me what it's like? What about your experiences as a Neptune knight? Do you like it? Dislike it? Are you usually powered-up? Or do you prefer your civilian side? Do you find your duties as a Neptune knight straining? Speaking of which, have you met Neptune? I think she's our princess, right? Do—"
Slievenamon didn't mean to let her giddiness get the better of her, but it did, and next thing she knew questions flooded out of her mouth in a cacophony of uncontrolled words.

Lassell opened his mouth to reply but then stopped as she started to ask him a bunch of questions. He nodded his head at the shorter form of her name "Okay, easy enough to say" he said to her. Having a notepad and pen was probably a good idea, he had yet to learn a lot too.
He nodded his head as she talked about her patrols "Sounds almost pretty chill" he told her. He glanced around at their surroundings it was definitely out of civilian areas, which was good if it wasn't that would probably cause some panic among them. "Well, I have so much still to learn" he told her thinking about it, he too also felt that he only scratched the surface of knighthood, then again Maia helped him learn what he needed.
He nodded once again to acknowledge that he was listening "Ahh... I see. he put in and blinked as she fired questions at him once again "No, I have not. Soo I can't really tell you what it was like. As for my experience as a Neptune Knight, its been a learning curve. I actually enjoy being a knight, and its the only time I feel I can make a difference, it has its ups and downs but it works. I can't really say I dislike it, its been a interesting experience. No I'am not usually powered up, I'm usually in my civilian side, but in retrospect I enjoy being powered up. Um...I can't say, I haven't really done much as a Neptune knight to be honest. No I have not met Neptune yet..." he said replying to her questions with ease.
He grinned at her as she rattled out questions, he was certain he answered all them and braced himself for some more questions. "Anything else you would like to know?" he asked her.

The glimmer in her eye didn't fade, only glistened; the telltale sign of her excitement. Questions upon questions danced on her tongue and when Lassell answered them, they fell away to only be replaced with more. She wanted to ask him everything, even if he couldn't provide an answer. As long as her hand kept moving with words and her brain deemed itself satisfied with learning, she could continue for what seemed like forever.
However, she decided to not let her excitement get the better of her. As if threading on a very fine line, Slievenamon jotted down the last bit of his words and turned the page to a new one to be filled up. She hummed in thought for a second before settling on a question and speaking.
"Thanks for answering! So, let's see, hm... What can you tell me about Chaos? I mean your encounters with them, their power levels, what their potential is and what they're actually after." This was one of her favorite topics to broach and even she was alarmed about the excitement in her tone. Chaos and its agents just intrigued her so. Catching herself, she quickly added, "I-I'm not interested in corrupting or anything, Im just curious. To know thy enemy and all that, ahaha..."

He grinned lightly at her, he noticed that the more she talked and asked questions the more she got excited. Since, all knights have something worth contributing to conversation. Although, he himself was not familiar with other Knights or even Knights of Neptune he really needed to get out more and see if he could meet other Knights of Neptune, since they were all part of the team.
"Well, I don't know much but I can tell you that they are a determined bunch of people. As for the power levels, it really depends on what rank they are when you first encounter them, some can be really powerful, especially those with lots of experience and then there are others who are weaker then you or at the same power level as you." he told her trying to remember what Maia taught him. "As for their potential they all have lots of potential and to be honest they are only really ever after energy and Star Seeds" he told her and tilted his head "It would be a sad day if a Knight of Neptune ever did express an interest in corrupting, that just means one less knight to defend and protect" he told her half- heartedly. He wasn't interested in corrupting either.

Slievenamon hummed and nodded her head, a little disappointed to hear things she already knew. However, she didn't wholly agree with the fact they were after only energy and Starseeds. It was simply... the only way they knew how to live. She held Lassell steady in her gaze before casting it to surface of the warehouse roof.
He'd really think I was odd if I start to defend them, she thought. So I'll hold my tongue for now.
Curving her lips into a smile, Slievenamon looked to the other squire again. "It would be a sad day," she said as nonchalantly as she could. "Knights serve as a balance between Order and Chaos; pulling strings when things get tangled. We have a purpose... even if it is not for one or the other. Aid the senshi, aid... Aid in purifying fellow corrupted knights of the Negaverse. Simple as that."
Clapping her notebook shut, she figured that was the most she would get out of asking for today. The squire was a tad tuckered out, but didn't leave just yet.
"Is there anything you'd like to ask me?" Slievenamon asked, though reluctant to do so. She was a little greedy when it came to information. "I can tell you what I know if there is something on your mind."

Lassell, nodded his head a little. From what Maia had told him that was their sole purpose, but then again her information was also incomplete, he frowned a little he needed to gather more intelligence, but until he did that was all he knew of the Chaos order. He stretched a little.
He really needed to encounter more Knights and gather up some more information and intellect of their purpose, he frowned once again he still had to visit his home world and figure himself out, but he wasn't even sure how to do that either. He sighed a little and looked around. "Well, at least that's what we know, I'm sure there is more to it then meets the eye" he told her.
He pondered a bit at her question, did he have any questions for her. "Not, that I know of" he told her. Truthfully, there was still so much to learn and so many questions he needed an answer to. He was pretty sure he couldn't learn overnight.

Slievenamon accepted this reply with a dip of her chin. "All right, then," she said, a little reluctant to separate. She wanted to talk more with her fellow Neptune knight, but it seemed their conversation had come to a standstill and it was getting late enough as it was.
Slapping her memo book shut, she tucked it into the interior pocket of her jacket and regarded Lassell with one last look. "Well, it's about time I head home. Kinda late and... I'm sure my dad'll hang me from the ceiling if he finds me missing. If you ever need me, I'll be here." She glanced down to the rooftop. "Just follow the song if you hear it, ahaha. See you!"
Then with that, Slievenamon cast the squire a wave and departed from downtown Destiny City for home.
StarshineAngel01 I felt it was an okay time to wrap it up. I hope that is all right!
