Hated Food: Cup Ramen and Mac n’ Cheese - While in college she ate that way too much that now she’s forever burnt out on the stuff.

School: Graduated with a bachelor's degree in theater with an emphasis on set design. She also has a minor in fashion illustration and design. On a whim she got an associates in cosmetology. (Talk about student debt)

Occupation: Part-time outfit and set designer assistant for the performing arts theater in downtown Destiny City and a part-time hairdresser.

Hobbies:
Hair Styling: She’d always been one to enjoy play with others hair or giving head massages but it wasn’t until Melz got into highschool that this really took off as a hobby or a serious interest. Between homecoming, sadie hawkins, and prom several of her friends and friends of friends had asked her to style their hair for them for these special occasions and from there it kind of evolved into something she did in her off time on the weekends. This is also part of the reason she went into cosmetology. Melody has, on a few occasions, volunteered her time to help out at co-workers weddings who were on a tight budget.

Pintrest: That amazing site where she gathers tutorials on new techniques used for costume design and how to use different materials as well as hairstyles that are trending or that she’d like to try on someone. This is also where she goes to find recipes to make for dinner either for herself or for her roommate and friends (when they come over).

Conventions: Not the work ones where you go and sit down in meetings while someone stands in the front talking about something you’re only mildly interested in. Rather, Melz quite enjoys the energetic atmosphere of SyFy, Fantasy, Comic and yes (sometimes) even anime conventions. It is a way for her to scope out other costume designers creations and learn something new while also showing off her own skills at the same time.


Virtues:
Get-er-done: With everything that gets thrown Melody’s way on an almost daily basis she tends to take it like a champ and keep moving forward. She's not one to let other peoples mad moods deter her from getting done what needs to be done. Between two brothers that like to harass her, being on the blunt end of her roommates frequent sarcasm and being trolled by friends (not to mention the pre-madonna actors and performers at the theater always needing things to be perfect and their way), there are very few things in life that Melz is unable to let just roll off her shoulder. Yes, she understands that people have their bad days but that's not going to stop her from accomplishing the tasks at hand.

Sociable: Surprisingly, despite the times where someone is trying to scare the pants off her, Melody is actually really easy to get along with. Usually has something to say to contribute towards a conversion so it doesn’t end in that awkward silence, she totally thrives in group settings which is why she looks forward to mid Spring to early Fall when hanging out and participating in group activities are at their prime. She enjoys planning BBQ's, Friend-unions or meet-ups at conventions.

Flaws:
Hit first ask questions later: Don’t startle her… Count this as your warning and be not a fool and take it as a challenge. Easily lost in thought or a task at hand is is ill advised to try and scare her to get her attention. Accidents happen yes but intentional attempts to make her jump will garner you more than just ‘the look’. Several people who chose not to heed the warning wore the purple badge of honor somewhere on their body be it their shoulder from being punched or leg from being kicked; then there were the slim few who managed to annoyingly dodge both who got pelted with a UFO flying at them. Again, just don’t do it; she won’t apologize to you for getting hurt for being a P.I.T.A.

Vengeance is Mine: Growing up with two brothers and her father, Melody has the male ‘one up’ mentality of having to out-do the other person mixed with a bit of ‘woman's scorn’. That forgive and forget nonsense her mother tried to teach her is definitely not her style especially when there is the possibility of getting even. Nine times out of ten this is generally harmless payback; grudges held over the last 3+ years that she’s been waiting for the prime opportunity to get someone back; a lengthy amount of time for someone to forget that they had done anything to her to begin with.

Summon: Unipeg

Magic: A two person ground/flying mount that acts somewhat like a warhorse in the sense that standing in front of it waving your arms or weapon won't stop it from serving its purpose as a means of retreat or escape. It is able to fly up about 5 -6 stories (high enough to clear most trees or just under double an eternal or knight jumping) Whether they've made it to their destination or not 5 seconds prior to Einhornhohle's magic expiring, her summon will begin a swift descent to the nearest level ground. Otherwise its purpose is most better suited for soaring from a high spot to ground level.

Note: Carrying two people reduces the summon time and travel distance by half.

Hey Shan! Congratulations on Einhornhöhle! I hope you can forgive me if I call her Ein... smile

On her civi side, for virtues, her trait of Tolerant does not read so much like a virtue. It reads a bit borderline virtue/flaw. May I suggestion going with Patient instead of tolerant?That it takes a good deal to send her over the edge and she remains civi until she does slip over. Currently the text seems to explain a bit more about people who cause her to lose her cool than the trait itself. Let me know if I can help with wording. smile

I know Paure is working on her art so congratulations on your claim!

Her weapon, the progression is lovely! The style of lamps you are looking at is very beautiful.

A couple of things on her magic.
Knight magic really should not do two strong items such as pull Chaos agents in AND heal. It would be best if you chose one or the other. To hopefully help in which one you decide, I’m going to provide some info on both sides of it that would need to be tweaked.

Drawing Agents in: While this overall is amusing and sounds like fun, there is some simple wording that needs to be slightly tweaked. ( I will use the Squire magic for an example smile However it does apply to the Knight magic as well)

** It is possible to break eye contact with the light if jostled by an outside force or something to pass between the individual and the light but so long as they are within the radius the feeling of heat from the light continues to escalate.
** Staring at the lantern may have the same side effect as staring at any light which causes floaters “spots” in the person's vision to linger.

All of it is possible but it must still be left up to the player how this happens or if it even does. An agent that she has faced before may know what happens when her light starts to glow and warn others thus the action may not be forced onto any of them.

Healing Order: Again, wonderful power but for knights, we usually do not allow the full healing of severe wounds and moderate wounds are only able to be granted an increase in healing...not a complete heal! Minor cuts and bruises are fine to have heal. So for Squire, she could heal minor wounds and then for Knight, help speed up the healing of moderate and slightly help severe. Her range would also need to come in to about 6ft to 8ft for this one.

Which ever affect you pick, I will be happy to help you move forward with it if any questions.

For her summons, First off, I want her unipeg!
Just so you know, if the unipeg was to carry too people, the summon time would need to be halved from that of just carrying one. One person and it gets full summon and flight distance, two and the half time is halved as well as how far it can fly.

I changed tolerant to get-er-done since patience doesn't really fit her personality unless it is waiting for a chance to get back at someone then she has patience in spades.

I went with the chaos option and if later I find a need for it I'll submit a PI plot for something in the healing category but for now I have nothing planned but is still an option for later.

Both the Squire and Knight attacks have been changed and re-worded to reflect your concerns. While it is possible for someone to warn other agents it would be my hope that the people I'm playing with will respond fairly (ie still catches the light out of the corner of their eye or hears the warning but too late to react this time). Closing their eyes and turning away is fine since being within the radius will still have the same temperature effect.

The light itself is hard to look away but not impossible; kind of like:
  • absently staring at a flame in a fire pit while people tell stories
  • watching the street light in anticipation of it turning red
  • deer in the headlights
  • glancing up at the sun when it's behind a thin layer of clouds where you can see the shape of it
  • looking under a lamp shade for the button or switch and turning it on before getting your head out of the way.


One thing I do need is clarification on for the summon. Is it going to be a direct 50% decrease in time and distance for two people or up to that much reduction. For example if she is carrying someone who weighs less than her. Someone who is wearing heavy armor or definitely bigger than her in size or weight I understand the 50% but if she is fleeing with someone younger and smaller than her is there wiggle room with the reduction?

I re-tweaked the attacks to address the verbiage concerns we spoke about earlier. Please let me know if anything else needs to be revised otherwise if you have any additional insight on the Summon, since I'm unfamiliar with their mechanics myself, that would be great. Thank you for your time.

The magic attacks look great!

For her summons, because of the magical nature of the beasts, it will be no change for one and a 50% decrease for the addition of one person regardless of size or attire. Attempting to factor in so many elements in weight leads to uncertainties and discrepancies that could causes problems with the summons down the line.
