Nyria had been in this new land for probably longer than most of her other Naga counterparts. She had been one of the first to arrive and she found this culture strange but extremely interesting. She wanted to learn as much about it as she could, but she had fallen short somehow when it came to meeting others. Things had taken a toll and she had had to find work and a place to stay way before she had been able to meet all the other NM races that she had wanted to. This wasn't an entirely bad thing, she supposed, but immersion into a new culture hadn't quite gone the way she had pictured it. Perhaps, though she didn't want to admit it to anyone, she was a little lonely. She had hoped to be able to charm the pants off of a local by now but it hadn't seemed like it was going to happen any time soon. What a drag.

She couldn't help but sigh to herself, shaking her tail back and forth as if negotiating tactics in her head. She never liked being alone. She had always wanted to have a home filled with noise and chaos, someone to belt tunes and grow old with, even if not romantically, but currently her life was rather dull and this waiting game was growing heavily on her nerves. She flipped over a newspaper when she saw the article on imbuing stones. It was an interesting idea, but she'd certainly have to weigh the pros and cons of such an action. In her culture, perhaps, Nagas wouldn't be so welcoming to someone of mixed blood, but she had always been an oddball, welcoming Nagas and Nekos alike and it wasn't like she hadn't had multiple Neko lovers in the past. She was a star, after all, in her home community and who would she be if she didn't flaunt her individuality?

Children though... That would be a life time commitment.. and was she ready for that? She clicked her neatly manicured nails on a table. On one hand, she had always wanted to be a mother. Her own mother was a good woman and had always showered her in love. She had always wanted to be just like her when she grew up and had always imagined having a house full of little ones, even if her life up until this point definitely hadn't turned out that way. She could imagine little half Naga babies curling up on her lap for a good book or mimicking her as she tried to teach them how to sing. It was a thought that filled her with more joy than she could imagine. Of course, on the other hand, it would slow her career down somewhat, perhaps even her finding a significant other, but if she honestly looked at it it wasn't like she was getting a million offers in that department anyhow.

She smiled a little as she circled the little article. That was it. She'd do it. None of this indecision. She was the type of person to take life head on and she wasn't going to continually be stagnant. She knew she'd be a good mother, and it was about time she was one!
