Name: Vedette Quintiliani (Kin-til-E-ahn-E) Nickname: DJ Nevermore, Raven, Quin, Detta Age: 20 Birthday: January 1st Sign: Capricorn Gemstone: Garnet Blood Type: A- Fav. Food: Devil's Food Cake Hated Food: Mushrooms School: DCU, Freshman (Holistic Medicine and Massage Therapy) She is also and apprentice to a Taxidermist. Hobbies: Drop Those Beats - Her night job is working as a DJ at a local Destiny City Nightclub. She goes by the alias DJ Nevermore, as an homage to Edgar Allen Poe's "The Raven", one of her favorite works. She is rather well known by the local club-goers, her face on a few promotional flyers around the city. Her music can range anywhere from Trance/House music, to Goth Industrial depending on her mood and those that are in attendance on a given night. Taxidermy - She has always been interested in the macabre. When she was given a chance to study under one of the local taxidermists she took it. It turned what had started as a curiosity and turned it into a possible career field. That and playing with pelts and sculpting is just too much fun. Bonzai - Bonzai has always been about relaxing the mind and taking pleasure in the small things in life. For Vedette it is no different. She tends her Bonzai when she has had a particularly hard day, or when she needs to focus her mind on a certain topic to get answers. This helps keep her calm, and focused as well as keeping her hot-headedness to a minimum. Virtues: Bleeding Heart - Vedette has a soft spot for those that are down on their luck. Having been raised in a family where hardship had found its way in now and again, she knows what it feels like to be left out in the cold. Those that have been hurt, abused, sick, hungry, all of those are the types she tends to take under her wing. Protective - Vedette takes care of her own. Anyone that she had dubbed "Hers" is now under her protection. This includes family, friends, and even those that she encounters day to day in class and other locations. She has been known to step into fights between bullies and young kids, just to teach the bullies a lesson. She has no problem getting her hands dirty in the name of what is right. Flaws: Person of Few Words - Vedette is a firm believer in less is more, and this holds true even in her speech. She will normally not speak unless the words are absolutely necessary, and even then, if her response can be made with a hand gesture or nod of the head, she will do so. This can make her come off a cold and stand-offish. Hot-Headed - When someone has upset Vedette, they are often the first to know. Though she might not speak much, she has little problem expressing her displeasure with her fists. If someone she cares about is hurt she is right there laying the beat down on their attacker. She is also known to beat on someone door to draw them out after learning that they have upset a friend. This is not to say that all her fights end in violence. She also has been known to engage in verbal battles, her words cutting to the core since she only uses those that will deal the best blows. Knight Title: Poveglia Page of Saturn Challenge: "The ghosts of the past will heal your future!” Uniform: See RefWeapon: Page - Blunt-ended Wooden Stick (With Raven Skull handle) Squire - Steel-tipped Wooden Cane (With Raven Skull handle) The original stick is transformed into a fine wood cane, the handle crafted into the wood and the raven skull mounted on the end with two ruby eyes in the sockets. Magic - Poveglia taps the cane twice on the ground, sending her magic through the cane. The action causes the eyes of the raven to glow and draw the eye of those of Chaos within a 5' radius of it. Once they are looking into the eyes of the skull, they are taken with a sense of fear for the duration of the attack (Until Magic pool runs out or she ends the attack), making it impossible to move for 10 seconds. Knight - Ornate, Steel and Polished Wood Staff with Pointed Metal Tip (With Raven Skull handle) The cane grows longer, becoming a short staff, the tip becoming a steal point. The raven skull remains, it have been molded into the carved wood and metal, becoming one with the finished piece. Magic - Poveglia taps the staff twice on the ground, sending her magic through the cane. The action causes the eyes of the raven to glow and draw the eye of those of Chaos within a 8' radius of it. Once they are looking into the eyes of the skull, they are taken with a sense of fear for the duration of the attack (Until Magic pool runs out or she ends the attack), making it impossible to move for 15 seconds.

Hey serpentsong! For the most part everything looks good here, but because Poveglia is a Knight, her magic needs to be phrased to make it clear that she has to channel her magic in order to use it - basically, it isn't like Senshi magic, which is effectively "cast-and-go"; Knights can turn their magic on and off, and the phrasing of their magic should reflect this. If you have any questions, or once you make changes, please quote me!

Ah, I think you may not have saved the changes, because the wording still looks the same?

Noir Songbird Ah, I think you may not have saved the changes, because the wording still looks the same? Added "sending her magic through the cane" there are only so many ways, to say the magic is channeled, through an item, sorry ;.;

AH, I was actually looking for tweaks to how the timing is phrased, sorry, I must not have been clear enough! It should be phrased more to indicate that the effect lasts for as long as she's channeling, up to however long her pool is, rather than for a solid 10/15 seconds since Knight magic isn't cast-and-go like Senshi.

Hey, Serpent! Poveglia looks great and I love her design! It looks like you and Song hashed out the details, but before I can stamp I have to ask for just one thing! Can you include the durations for the attack at Squire and Knight stage? (It looks like it was going to be ten seconds for squire and fifteen for knight?) If you can just include that duration for the magic pool at those stages, I should be able to draw a stamp! (Although, I did also want to ask! Does the magic affect everyone who looks into the eyes—Order and Chaos, or just Chaos?) Give me a quote when you plug that info in and I'll be back as soon as possible!
