A totally boring, normal morning. Kalisha had no idea just how much she would be wishing it had remained this way a few minutes later, once she had finished with her hair and gave Luna her goodbye kiss. She opened the front door distractedly, like she did every morning, rummaging through her bag to make sure she had everything.
But what she stepped out into was not Ashdown. It felt eerily similar, yet completely alien at the same time. Kalisha stopped, startled, in the middle of the stairs leading down from her apartment, surprised by the rain, the fog, and the.... wrongness. She shouldn't be here. She couldn't shake the feeling that she very much should not be here.
This was not right. Not right at all. Seeing no other option, however, she made her way down the stairs carefully, into the empty streets below. No one seemed to be here, where usually there would be people all over this street at this time of the day. “Hello... ?” She called out.
What replied to her was not what she expected.
"COME AND SEE."
WHAT THE HELL. Kalisha couldn't stop the shivers down her spine. That felt even more wrong than anything else. She couldn't shake the feeling that she had to go toward Waite State Park, but... Did she really want to ? Would that.... thing.... whatever it was, be waiting for her ?
Yet, where else was she supposed to go ? Kalisha started walking, afraid to call out for others after what had answered her, but it only took a few steps before she heard much more normal voices in the distance. Maybe she wasn't alone after all ?
With little else to think of, she started heading toward the voices.
