"Damn. Tri they reached her first.Back off"

Tri signed softly and fly down to a roof a block away. He could just barely make out the women and the girl, a few minutes earlier and one of their people could have approached and taken her. It was shady but from the rumors Ree had sent back one of the orphans might be a child of the renegades....and the killer. As well as being connected to Spectrum..and after Hexxis, they were having trouble believe Spectrum was as clean as they should be.

"s**t....Andy Eternal. That's Andy Eternal!"

Wings flared as he took back into the skies and waited.

"....Change of plans. those unarmed back up. Tri distract her while we get out armor unit it. I am calling Ree to back you up but that might take some minutes, can you handle it? "

"....Yes" he said quietly into the microphone as he looked at the two and unhooked the tranq gun... he wouldn't be able to shoot form this distance he would have to get a lot closer. Pulling shadows toward him he waited and dropped attempting to get into range, before he snapped his wings out painfully and fires at both andy and melody. two hits before he needed to reload.

Fear raced through him as the lightning hit him, breaking apart the shadows he had pulled to hide himself but the lightning itself just slide along his skin burning bits of his clothing but not actually injuring him.

He dropped the last few feet to the ground and shook his wings as electricity arced along him for a second longer, pushing the fear to the side as he pulled the darkness in again swirling around them from the trees, engulfing the dimmed light of the street lamps and moving around them like water. He ran his mind blank to everything except the next step, his eyes seeing her in the darkness as easy as daylight as he attempt to shoot her with the the last dart, mildly surprised she was actually still up, he was almost sure she had been hit.

"The kid is running back toward Sanctuary"
"Head her off, if you can dart her as well. Kid or not she can still hurt you. and Tri? "
We can't see, he was hit by ..lightning or some light attack? but then everything went dark.
"Damn... "

A man pulled away from one of the cars as Melody passed and turned to chase her. "Hey kid. Wait! ...that meta over there I think she got hurt! "

Tri moved forward thinking his next step, electricity was out. If she could use it then there was a high likelihood she was also immune to it. At least time he saw the dart go in ... stall the only thing he had to do was stall. He bent over to pick up a few pebbled to throw and stopped.

"BACK. DOWN."

He shivered and straightened taking a step back then another before he stopped trembling as he tried to take a step forward instead and ending up frozen to the spot. What..what was she doing? He needed to go forward but also wanted to back away. What was happening? Darkness swirled around them but there were no further attacks from him.


"Andy...so you do know her.." he shook his head, damn kid at least this made things easier. Her daughter they said...well now Andy can hurt as much as she hurt him. Reaching down he reached and pulled out a similar model to the tranq gun Tri and others in this unit were using, but his... his was heavier a lot heavier. He took a step forward "nappy time" tried to aim ..then fire.

Tri clenched his teeth as his knees threaten to buckle. Bracing his legs against each other he looked up and glared angrily after Andy while trying to keep the darkness together. A word... just a word and he felt like he was losing control of himself. He force more darkness into the area instead, pushing it with all his will as he tried not to fall under her suggestion.


He didn't see where the bullet hit just a splatter of blood that went up as she fell. He stood there as anger, fear , disgust and satisfaction mingling together as he finally moved closer. Not all of it directed at the meta..a lot of it a himself as well, but even so he lifted the gun again and prepared to shoot. He would wait for a while longer then call in Mara...claim self-defense. Or just disappear, it wasn't as if Mara could charge him for killing a meta.. only for ruining a specimen run.

Ree flew quickly through the night sky, middle wings doing most of the work as top cut through the air ahead. Clenched in his hand was a phone, showing the GPS directions to the park. Every few blocks it would re-adjust as if he were driving a car but he ignored it focusing only on the red dot on the map where Tri and the EE member should be. Andy... Sure there were rumors all around the Sanctuary but there was no confirmation until now.

Fear was helping his blood run faster as his mind kept adding different situations that he might find.
"He's still alive. His vitals are elevated but in normal limits" Mara said through the loud speaker when Ree stopped talking .

Bloody collar... how much he hated that Tri was forced to wear it but right now he could only be grateful he did. "I am almost there" he angled his wings downwards and started his decent pretty quickly. If it wasn't that he was already scanning the area for signs of trouble as he approached he wouldn't have noticed the guy with the dark blue jacket standing over a girl. The jacket was familiar, even if it was nondescript the hue and style told those on the team who was who. "I think one of your people got one of the chil-.....HEY!" he swerved and back winged strongly as he snapped his free hand out sending a telekinetic blast toward the guy, sending him flying back and discharging at a wall.

Already there were people waking up, turning on lights and attempting to look through the window. Trouble... lots of trouble. "Mara, he just tried to kill her..... s**t no. He might have killed her " he said noticing the blood as he pulled the gun out of the man's grasp as it was turned toward him. The light in his eyes was blinding as he looked pissed, throwing the gun away and raising Melody up toward him as memories shouted at him not to moved the injured without checking them. Staying was not an option... not if the people waking decided to help the bastered instead. "taking her with me" he said quickly and pocketed the phone and he moved melody into his arms, not sure if she was awake or not.... and he didn't have a darn tranq either.

"What? Who?.... wait.... I know who. Take her to the park someone will pick her up"

Damn it...DAMMN IT! He got up slowly back hurting from where he was thrown back against a wall..fingers burning from where the gun was pulled from his fingers. Damn metas... damn pets. So close... but he better move out.. no one was leavingt heir homes but he could hear sirens now...

A shriek and gunshots...gunshots? A corner of Tri's mind separate from his struggles took note of it and that was all, as the sound waves broke apart the displaced darkness in his control sending them back to their rightful place and with them what fight he had left. Slowly he sank to the ground, kneeling as he breathed heavily from both the use of his power and the rush to get here. With any luck she would be to busy trying to escape to turn back to him. Assuming the tranqs did their job before she did escape.

Glancing up finally he spotted a sparking Andy falling to her knees near...Ree. "No..." He said softly, a whisper as he attempted to get back up knowing the other meta did not have any resistance to her attack if it hit. He managed to plant one foot down and that was all as he struggled with himself between kneeling again and attempting to go to them.

Ree landed heavily on the side walk in front of the park, the small meta pulled closely to him but losing a dangerous amount of blood. He could feel its warmth trickle down his arm only to be absorbed by his clothing for the moment. The wound pulled at his senses, he wanted to heal it but knew even if he gave it his all it wouldn't be enough to save her, she would have better luck with human medicine...then there was Tri, he would need his help too. So where the heck where they?!

"MELODY!!!!"

"Ah...." He grimaced wanting to cover his ears as the sound wave rush past him painfully. The darkness that had been swirling around the park started to break apart reveiling Andy...at least she looked exactly like the picture on the bounties sent from Criel.

"LET HER GO!!!" "...let her go... Right. Now."

Staring he did the only sane thing to do when confronted with a crazed meta sparking like a live wire in the rain and shouting to let the child go. He backed up quickly holding the girl tightly. Yep....nopenopenopenope. Flaring his wings he even jumped a bit and back winged a couple more feet quickly with one flap before hitting the ground again. It was smart to leave altogether but Andy(?) Had already fallen to the ground and the medical assistance needed for the girl should be around here...but he knew the priorities and until the armored units came in or the bounty left/was brought down no one would be trying to confront one of the bounties other than Mara's pet projects.

Sirens started getting closer and Mara's voice has gone quite..or was it accidently turned off? Either way not good. He kept staring at Andy and backing up.

Ree flinched to the side only after Andy sent and diverted the lightning, unable to even attempt to dodge -that-. He let out a staggered breath, clinging to the child in his arms as his mind blanked, other than every instinct was telling him to run, fly away NOW.

He slammed outward instead with his telekinesis as he also tried to dodge, much to late as he got hit in the thigh, seconds before she went flying back. He arched back yelling as he fell, not receiving the full blast but still enough to make his heart stutter and and muscles convulse painfully..it didn't only stop with him.. but flowed to melody as well, following the blood before it dissipated completely.

Tri breathed deeply finding he could finally move again, only to hear Ree's scream. Ice tingling fear flowed down his spine as he got up and ran toward them. Spotting Andy on the ground and Ree along with the meta child some feet away. Moving to Ree he hesitated for a moment grinding his teeth as he felt the full effects of the shadow's intimidation but pushing past it. Checking him as an armored van finally pulled in.

//We need to have this closer// Mara thought as they finally pulled in, receiving reports from her plain cloth people while also trying to convince the police chief not to being his people to close to the park, that they were handling it there. She bit back a curse as reports came in that Ree and the girl were down ...but so was Andy and that Tri was finally in view again. "Pull the ambulance around, get them back to SIU and tell them to prep for surgery. " They would handle Andy,after she had already gone down.. maybe the the price of losing one of the few people she cared about. If she did..... this would be a dead bounty being turned in.

"Out " she placed her helmet on as the armored van stopped. She wore light weight plated armor, covering her completely as well the the other 4 in her unit. They moved to Andy, guns trained on her before they started the process of accessing, restraining and taking her back into the van. A quick glance toward Ree showed Tri already there prying the girl from Ree's grip and passing her along to one of the techs before picking up the hybrid and taking him into a second ambulance.
