KittyKat, tell me again why we're out here tonight? "Because I have a quota to meet for this week and I'm pretty sure you do too, Dia." Lieutenant Tourmaline huffed, scuffing her boot against the pavement as she kicked a small pebble down the alleyway. They had been wandering around for some time now with no success. It was such a nice evening -- So of course everyone was staying indoors. "I thought this part of town might be more exciting. I don't want to have to start lurking outside the mall to pick off teenagers. That's -- That's like stealing lunch money." Her nose wrinkled as she kicked the stone again, this time sending it skittering further.

" Hmph." If Dia had her way, she'd also be staying indoors, enjoying the lovely evening from the comfort of her couch - the way she'd originally planned to do. But noooo, Tourmaline had to text her, guilt her over the fact that she'd slacked off for the last several days, bringing absolutely nothing to the figurative table to show her - their - superiors. And being emptyhanded for a week was not particularly a good thing. Heels clicked alongside her punk-rock looking companion, eyes narrowing as she watched the rock bounce along the pavement, making small tap, tap, tap sounds of its own as it skidded along. If Tourmaline wanted to scuff up her shoes, that was her business but it was something she could be doing on her own time, in the senshi's opinion. "Teenagers are easier, though." The rebuttal came out sounding more like a whine, which in truth, it probably was, "We could be done and over with by nooooooooooooow." Her nose wrinkled at the idea of sticking her fingers down into a vagrant's chest. An obnoxious mall-rat's chest wasn't much better, but at least they sometimes had enough standards to take a shower before coming out to the mall. "Can't you just pick someone and we can get this over with?"

He felt nauseated.
It was not the first time that had been overwhelmed by numbers, but at the very least, both power signatures that had wafted towards Thrymr had felt weaker than his own. Were it not for the fact that there were two of them, he might have even tried to talk with whoever it was.
But instead, stupidly, he'd walked right into this mess.
Thrymr's patrol had not started out intending to be physical, but he had the sinking feeling that it would become so rather quickly. They were bound to feel his power signature now, especially since he could see them, just up ahead, both in varying shades of pink.
Pink. Like Labyrinthite.
He didn't want to think about Labyrinthite.
Thrymr took a step back, but his aura was a beacon, as well as the blazing white and sunset uniform, his hair twisted back into a braid that ended somewhere against the small of his back.
He thought about hiding, or running, but both would be cowardly, and besides, by the time he managed to make his feet move, they would notice his signature anyway. Maybe they would be open to talking, as much as he doubted it.
"Good - " Thrymr's voice caught a little. "Good evening."

"But they're so boring." She whined in return, listening to Dia continue on for a moment before another voice joined that of her companion. Softer, nervous -- Scared, maybe? Lieutenant Tourmaline grinned as she turned on her heel, flashing a bright smile to her senshi companion before thumbing a gesture at the ray of evening sunshine that had just stumbled upon them. "Alright, Dia. I pick this one. Pretty senshi are way better than mall rats when it comes to meeting quota, don't you think?"

The gulp that accompanied her swallowing was audible, the senshi caught completely off guard by the presence of an Order sailor scout. The aura was unsavory, an irritating feeling that washed over her the closer they stepped towards the young man. His hair was white and long - though not nearly as long as her own. Stars were scattered across his fuku, along his neck, his belt, arms and knees. Vocally, he was as soft as the hues of color accenting the whiteness of his attire, a drastic difference from her black and bright pink. He might have been soft-spoken, but she had a feeling that his power was stronger than her own. Judging by his aura, he was at least one rank above where she lingered - maybe two. Probably a good thing she wasn't alone, then. It took her a moment to recover from the surprise, the grim sulk on her face turning upwards into a smirk. "Are we lost tonight, little senshi?"

He knew, as soon as they both turned, that they were not the type to talk. And he did not like the way that they were looking at him, one with a sharp, twisting smile that was not a pleasant one, and the other with a smirk that made her face shift into a jeering expression.
Thrymr lifted both hands, raising them so that his palms faced out towards the pair in a gesture of defense.
"I'm not lost," he said, and while his heart was beating too quickly against his ribs, he was relieved to note that his voice came out even, without trembling. Thrymr swallowed hard, one foot sliding behind him to brace himself as he pressed his lips together.
"Who are you?"

"Could have fooled me. You certainly seem like you've stumbled off of the familiar path into the unknown... It's alright, though. We'll take good care of you, friend." The Lieutenant was still smiling brightly as she nudged the cuffs of her coat up just enough to readjust the faux leather of her gloves. It wasn't like they actually did anything, or had special powers of any sort, but she could at least make herself seem a little more impressive. "Prepare for trouble!" Tourmaline proclaimed with a grin, to which her senshi partner responded, "And make it double!" The Lieutenant giggled and it took a second or two for her to regain her composure enough for a proper introduction. "I'm Lieutenant Tourmaline. She's Sailor Dia... And you? Should probably surrender now or prepare to fight."

"That's right!" She stamped her heel down on the concrete for emphasis, the pink haired woman clearly getting excited with the dialogue the duo was reciting to the lonely senshi that stood before them. It was probably a good thing that the target in question was not a pokemon - then again, they'd probably go for a fuzzy critter's starseed just as quickly as a senshi's. Her arms folded across her chest as she did her best to look tough and intimidating, leaning back against her partner for added effect. Tourmaline, on the other hand, let out another burst of giggles, her shoulder shaking Dia's in the process and causing the girl to furrow her brows in frustration. An elbow moved out and shoved against the Lieutenant's side as the senshi hissed, " Cut it out!"

He was growing more confused by the second.
Thrymr had braced himself for an attack - but it wasn't coming, at least not yet. The two girls in front of him were a Lieutenant and a Corrupted Senshi respectively, and while their power signatures were lower than his own, there were two of them. He'd expected an immediate and violent reaction to his presence.
He didn't get that.
Thrymr's brow furrowed, his mouth opening and then shutting again. For a moment, he looked entirely flummoxed, as though he had no idea of how to respond to such a thing - or them - or anything that had happened in the past thirty seconds.
"Heart of Light!" Thrymr blurted out.skye starrfyre Thrymr presses his hands together and then opens them, palms facing skyward. An aurora of hearts gusts towards his opponent like a wave, and does mostly lightly bruising sort of damage. This is more of a short-range attack and cannot penetrate most protective barriers. This does not last very long, depending on the strength of the victim, 30 seconds at maximum. He can use this once per battle.

"You cut it out, Dia!" She hissed, elbowing the other girl back as her eyes narrowed, all trace of giggles gone. An insult lingered on the tip of her tongue and briefly it may have seemed as though the Lieutenant and the Corrupt Senshi were seconds away from breaking out into a battle of their own-- Only briefly, however, because before they could they were very rudely attacked. Tourmaline stumbled back with a startled cry as she was blasted by the hearts, nearly tripping over Dia as she did so. "What-- What was that? Dia did you see that? He attacked me! I choose you. Dia, use Candy Crush-- Or whatever it is your stupid, gooey candy attack is called."

Her eyes widened as the hearts came sailing down, the senshi very quick to let out a small shriek as she darted behind her partner. Hearts? What?Tourmaline stumbled backwards in reaction and in the process, nearly bumped the taller girl over. So much for being an effective shield - hmph! "Don't tell me how to fight!!" The notion that she was just being used as an arsenal of magic power infuriated her...she frowned, glaring first at the pink-tipped Lieutenant and then towards the other senshi. "But fine. Whatever." The gumdrop appeared in her palm a moment later, the candy piece soon rolling between her fingers. While she didn't normally call out her attack, she almost felt obligated to, thanks to whitie here and his fancy heart-shaped attack. She huffed, still looking at Tourmaline as she added, "It's called Candy Coating, by the way." Then, turning to Thrymr she called out in a sing-song tone as the candy flew, "Hope you have a sweet tooth, darling!" kuropeco Sailor Scout Attack Candy Coating Dia conjures a small gumdrop and throws it at her opponent. Aim and strength depends on her personal capabilities (so chance of missing heightens greatly, the further out the enemy is). Should the gumball make contact, it releases a sticky candy goo that covers 1-2 feet of area wherever it hits (so if a head shot, the head/hair is covered, if arm, the arm and shoulder, etc). This thick goo is painless, but thick enough to temporarily blind/slow/irritate the opponent. It fades after 20 seconds. 2 uses per battle.

He wondered, not for the first time, whether he'd made a mistake in attacking them first. But they had been planning to do the same thing to him, Thrymr reasoned; he had merely taken the first step before they had managed to do so.
And now he'd irritated them.
The senshi's magic swept forward towards him, and Thrymr stumbled back, throwing up an arm to block whatever it was that she was throwing at him - but this seemed to be exactly the wrong thing to do. A sticky, sickly sweet substance was spreading up over his arm and part of his shoulder, halting his movements as he staggered.
He let out a little gasp and threw himself forward, hair flying, to try and swing a kick at the senshi, though his balance was not quite on par with his arm bent at the strange angle it was.

" Hey! You're not allowed to kick her! That's not nice." Lieutenant Tourmaline stepped in as the senshi lunged forward at Sailor Dia. It didn't matter how irritating she found the Senshi of Candy to be sometimes, their arrangement was that Dia provided the magic and she supplied the force. That was the way she saw it, at least. Tourmaline took the brunt of the kick and stumbled back, doing her best to make it look like it hadn't hurt. Her best wasn't good enough, the pained scowl rather obvious in the end. " Ouch... Next time aim for his feet so he can't kick so hard," she huffed, glaring at the male senshi.

Nobody kicked her friends but her. Ignoring the fact that Tourmaline had only been injured taking the blow for her sake, Dia was ready to get violent on the behalf of herself and her stumbling friend. Her wrist flicked itself again, conjuring up another gumdrop. This time, however, she fully intended on smashing it in the man's face. How dare he try to hurt Tourmaline. If he was willing to kick the less pretty of the two, who was to tell what he'd be willing to do to her beautiful face? Her stomach? Her hair? Stepping forward, she moved to lunge towards the white haired nuisance. What she hadn't counted on, however, was Tourmaline continuing her stumble, directly on top of one of her many strands of hair lace. The weight of her boot anchored her hair to the ground, the force of Dia's lunge sending her forward and straight towards the ground. Her face hit the pavement with a loud thwack, perfect nose taking the brunt of the impact as the woman let out a shrill screech. "Y-You.." Thoughts of the enemy evaporated as the pinkette struggled back onto her feet. No, she was mad, but it was because she now looked like an absolute fool. Eyes glared down at the foot that continued to hold her hair down. Tourmaline's gaze fell down to where Dia was looking, her boot swiftly removing itself from the situation as she gave the other girl a sheepish look. It was also then that Dia realized her hand had clenched itself during the fall and her fingers were now irreversibly covered in sticky, awful candy goop. "LOOK what you've DONE. You...you tart!" Without thinking, the lunge was relaunched - but this time in her cohort's direction. Fingers covered in gummy substance took hold of Tourmaline's pink-tipped curls and forcibly yanked downwards. "How do you think this feels?!"

He felt his foot connect with the lieutenant, but it did not bring Thrymr satisfaction, only a sense of wariness and a small amount of guilt. He stumbled back, trying hastily to get out of the way of the two young women before they could retaliate a hit.
"I didn't - " he started to say, his heart hammering frantically on his chest, and his arm was still stupidly stuck in its locked position, gummy and sticky as Thrymr staggered. He pushed his hair out of his eyes and for a moment was too focused on trying to remember his magic, not noticing that his two opponents were not exactly cooperating as planned.
Thrymr stared. They were -
- well.
He took a tentative step back as they squabbled, trying very hard to be quiet about it. Then another step, then another, Thrymr shifting ever so slightly, biting his lip in the process. It was, perhaps, a cowardly move; but there were two of them and only one of him.
He took another step.
