Ree fingered lightly through some files, opening another and taking a picture as he dimmed the light the came out with the few deep shadows. Each photo was being automatically transferred to the cloud and from there taken and saved to another computer as someone pulled it off elsewhere. Every now and then he would stop and just listen, straining to hear any sounds of footsteps or voices.

Getting in was easy...he even spent an hour or two around the building watching before phasing but was still nervous being here.

There were just a few important physical files to double check, which he was doing now. With the help of one of Mara's contacts he was given the password to access the system and was able to transferred a copy of all the files into a flash drive before shutting it off. Now he was taking pictures of the 10 most important files to make sure nothing was missed.

The information was just basic, similar to the one he had filled out but a little more details and focused on all the metas who attended the school before it closed down. Not useful if he wanted to know the current metas hiding at the school but helpful in the long run what kind of metas used to come here and perhaps how they were related. For the information on current metas he would have to come back and look a bit more, he felt he was pushing his luck already for today anyways.

Ree froze pulling the shadows closer to him as he shoved his phone into his pocket but the door had already opened. Reaching out for more darkness he darken the room and crouched narrowing his eyes, watching the black hair meta at the door with a feeling of dread as he prepared for fight or flight.

Ree held still watching the other meta take a seat at the computer he should have turned off, or at least logged out from. Something Tri would have scolded him for and rightly so.

Resting gloved hands on the floor he pushed himself up, wings held tightly to his back to minimize the noise, as he kept watch until the other meta was completely distracted by the computer itself. Why hadn't he turned on the lights? not that he was ungrateful for the lucky break but that had been odd.. he would have maybe noticed a problem then.

Looking around he listed his possible options, phasing through the wall or the door itself seem like the most likely choices outside of stupidly attacking the meta himself. However he would need to sneak past the meta to get to the door and he was reluctant to get nearer, the feeling of dread building up at the thought, it was to risky ..there might also be someone outside waiting even if he heard no voices or footsteps accompanied with the other meta's entrance, assuming he has been to distracted to have heard the footsteps.

"Gatt, Kylar." "I can't believe it, I went to this school?"

Eyes narrowed suddenly with new interest as he had started moving closer to the wall. He wasn't one of the workers here? had he also sneaked in to find information? hah! and he left everything perfectly open for him to do so too.

He smiled faintly at the irony but the words nagged at him as he took a few steps and phased through the wall not caring if the meta heard those sounds, he would find nothing except an open file cabinet if he looked. His priority was to send these files back as soon as possible but now he had an extra bit of information to send along with it, Kylar Gatt could be confirmed alive from all the records he had pulled out.

Solidifying on the outside he cast a quick look around before making his way to the computer he had stashed near an overgrown bench. Snapping it open as pulled it off sleep mode and put the flashdrive inside.

"I can't believe it, I went to this school?"

//I went to this school?....shouldn't he know that?// He shook his head as he relaxed a bit, lletting go of the darkness he had been holding , allowing the normal darkness and shadows of the room Kyle was in go back to normal.

//Shadows...// His eyes widen slightly in realization as his hands pause over the keyboard before continuing, transferring the files over a satellite connection. The feeling of dread was gone.. familiar and alien. Opening another window he scrolled down quickly through the files he had taken and open the file the meta had been looking at and just glanced at the species.

"Shadow..." he looked back toward the building. He would still be inside... if he had been looking for information on himself, possible amnesia?. Should he try? he didn't have any clue how to interact with another Shadow meta ... if the other even wanted to be talk too. Definitely mentioning being in the room was a no no...

Distracted he didn't pay attention to his surroundings as he pulled a backpack from under the bench as well and started to place the computer into it. He would have to double back and make it seem casual.. it was not for Tri or the others... it was for himself..wanting to meet others like himself even if it was a bad experience. hm, it had to be outside or in the corridors....

Ree had moved to one of the windows that showed the corridor inside and frowned having absolutely no idea how to do this. He was pretty sure no one was allowed to run around the main building without at least the knowledge of Deliah. Not something he was certain of, but with so few people they wouldn't really have more than a handful of staff right? And no reason to be wandering alone. Hence why he had taken his first look around last night and decided to actually go in this morning...more risky but he didn't know what else might be wandering the night and guarding the area.

Wings shifted uncomfortably under and above backpack straps as it interfered with his ability to close them. Letting out an irritated breath he took it off and ruffled his feathers, bad idea but the bag had looked good when he bought it but obviously not practical ugh. Looking up with a sigh he had a feeling of discomfort moments before spotting Kyle passing by the window . Ah shoot shoot shoot uhh....

Staring blankly after the other meta he could run toward the front and still be at a loss at how to interact with him or...or...

Less than a second later he let go of the control he had on his aura while watching the meta inside for a reaction. He wasn't sure if he was offering a challenge or threatening, never having meet another than Tri...he just wanted to catch his attention. He lifted a hand in what he hoped passed for a greeting.... but who knows.

Ree waited as Kyle moved away from the door, his eyes focused on the bare arms of the meta as something seems to crawl along them, but then looks up to his face. //bad idea...// he thought seeing the terror there and started to center himself again pulling at the edges of his aura, trying to pull it back in.

Fear suddenly washed through him and all thought of pulling it back were completely forgotten. He lifted his wings in challenge and fear as tattoos that weren't there suddenly were and with them was gut wrenching feeling of dread. -This- is what others felt? oh shoot. Even the wave and voice sounded menacing.

Swallowing he consciously lowered his wings waiting, trying to logically tell himself that it was just a feeling not that it was true... his heart was not taking any of that. "Uh..... hah. Hello... well this is um.. fun" he tried to smile that came more out as a wince as he focus again on trying to center himself long enough to pull at his aura again. Maybe if he pulled it back enough the other would do the same. He had wanted to find something to talk to him about ..this wasn't exactly what he had in mind.

"Uh....stupid question but you're a Shadow as well aren't you?" he looked faintly sheepish.

//Holy......// Ree blinked as the aura was gone... just literally gone. Not even Tri had managed to make it disappear, the best they could both do was make, so they were told, others slightly uncomfortable but it was always there. Staring at the shadows that crawled along the other meta's exposed skin he finally shook his head in disbelief. Defiantly something to pass on.

The extended hand caught him by surprise but now it didn't seem as menacing as it had before. Lifting his gaze to Kyle's face he could now to observe him without his spidy-senses giving their input..angel-senses? Birdy-senses? //no puns, bad puns. bad ..stay in your corner//.

Getting a better feel for him he took Kyle's hand in a firm grip and shook with a faint grin. //Kage? wasn't it Kyle? // "Nice to meet you. I'm Ree " not offering a last name as he let go, feeling a light buzz travel across his forehead. " No worries... if anything it was my fault I made you react. I.." he absently brushed his hand across his forehead. //...was just looking through your file............. yep can't say that//

"... thought I felt another Shadow near by " he ended lamely. "Obviously flaring your aura is not a good way to say Hi.... sorry about that. I haven't actually meet another meta who was one and thought that,...yea" he grimaced, only now realizing how -stupid- doing that was. " As for my wings... i'm a hybrid" //I think.. // he smiled faintly now, Kage didn't look angry at least. "How about you? Have you been here for long? I only just arrived a few days ago. "

"Heh, well it is close enough " he said furling his wings in more as if that would make them disappear. He never regretted having his wings but he knew how much easier it would be to move around towns if he didn't have them, lack of backaches after a long day, or bumping into things. Yet they were his..it was like thinking of removing a leg to fit through a door.

"I've been here maybe a few hours."

Ree kept the smile on his face but there was a slight shift in his posture his eyes dilating slightly. //A few hours my foot. In a few hours the first thing you do was go to administrations? .....or did he actually have permission to have been in there? blaah learn to trust a bit you're not as paranoid is Tri... hopeful- wait running back out? //

His relaxed his stance again //who are you...// he thought quietly before letting out a sigh. "Well there go my plan, I was going to ask you the same thing. I don't know to many people here yet. I've only meet the headmaster and his secretary. Seen a few others here or there but they were in a hurry ... " he said with a shrug then waved toward the front end of the building. "Were those two the ones you were trying to meet? I could go in with you if it helps. They aren't as scary as it seems" scary, that was amusing. True the other two worse masks but they were the ones who made other feel it just by being around. Again..something he had to ask about.. how did he close it off so well.

Ree gave him a faint quizzical look at the mention of a disembodied voice but brushed it off."If you're sure, I mean it isn't any trouble. They are supposedly a sanctuary from.." he motioned to the gates and world outside of it all. "everything out there " he said simply, having thought about it last night. He might not have experience first hand the trials the other have, but he could appreciate the fact there was a place for them to recover..to heal...if that is what was truly happening here.

Ree sigh softly, still not getting any clue on what Kage was really trying to do here. "Well then, do you have some place to be?" he asked curiously, wondering if he should risk giving him a number to call. Reaching out he took his hand without thought and shook.

Cat like eyes widen in sudden surprise as he attempted to pull his hand back. "What are yo-..." he lower his head as the tingling across his forehead came back and got worse becoming one long single pain. Memories of the last few minutes disappeared then snapped back into place only to happen again and again.

He let his aura go as he pulled at kage with all his strength. Grabbing at his clothing before attempting to trip him with one foot and slam him to the ground. "What. did you think you were doing?" he growled.
