Talisia had just wanted to study the Xaraan. The girl had noticed the bird since arriving in Oba and finally had taken the chance to encounter one. Her approaches, however, were not the best and the next thing the girl knew the bird was charging towards her. “Hey!” Hissing through clenched teeth Talisia had started to chase after the darting creature.

She just wanted to get a closer look!

Others may have seen the beast charmer as a bit special as she took off through the sands, but Talisia was determined. Day after day she had been training and the Xaraan wasn’t about to so easily get away. In a way this was like more training and the girl found herself smiling despite her silly antics. “I’ll get you yet!” Oh! There was the perfect moment.

Darting forward Talisia leaped from the ground and ended up wrapping her arms around the creature’s neck. Her skirts flew out behind her as she attempted to wrap her slender legs around the bird’s body, “Just stand still, would you?” For a brief moment she felt like she had it…no real fighting needed as she just tried to bear with the bouncing body.

Suddenly the Xaraan just veered and simply stopped. Losing her grip Talisia felt the momentum throw her forward and the girl tumbled into the sands. “Oow.” Rubbing the back of her head Talisia frowned as the creature seemingly snapped its beak in laughter before turning to dart away. Perhaps…she should take a bit more time to study them from afar before approaching first.

Next time things won’t be so easy for you…
