Nothing else mattered to Amaris -- she felt cute as all get out. Sure, okay, maybe it had been storming earlier and she'd had to stay at the gym a little longer than she would have wanted: but even with the sweat, with her hair in the frizziest ponytail ever, she was totally rocking this tank top/sweatpants combo. Fashion shows would be calling, if she had six inches on herself - but, like, hey: work what you have, right? And she was working it. Sweaty her of an hour earlier would be totally jealous. Maybe she was a little caught up in her own business, in her own little nonsense -- but what did it matter? It wasn't like there were monsters stalking her -- okay, yeah, there totally were. And Amaris knew there was something following her, but what was she going to do about it? iStoleYurVamps if this doesn't work, feel free to pm me >>

And right behind those monsters was a now-squire Slievenamon, memo pad in hand and pen furiously scribbling notes on not just the youma, but its target as well. She had discovered the creatures' penchant to stalk their prey before the initial attack—be it either through some sort of sadistic or predatory side, she was unsure. However, that did not stop the squire from stalking them as they stalked their victim and, from her vantage point from up on a rooftop, it appeared these monsters were going to be honing in on their target soon.
Slievenamon sighed and silently dropped to the street, a hand curved about her now lengthened shell flute. I may have to intervene soon, she thought, heels gently clicking against the ground. It looks like they're getting close...
Daekie i'm sorry i'm such a piece of s**t and this took so longggg...!

Monsters were one of the last things Castor wanted to be dealing with. He had wanted to spend the rest of his free time at home, under his fleece blanket eating junk food and binge watching NCIS. Yet the tug of chaos and order was unavoidable as he made his way home. So with a sigh and small jump he was after what he hoped would be just an easy battle. What took him a second to process was the fact that the order he sense was a knight- a knight who was taking notes and observing. Talk about different priorities. "Hey, Clark Kent." He got near the knight, hoping to get her attention. "This you ought to go into superman mode, you know, save the day?"

Hey, hey, hey - there were people talking in the distance. She could hear them (barely) - but obviously they weren't going to help. Amaris couldn't blame them for that! Destiny City was an obnoxiously dangerous place for...well, just about everyone. Except the #terrorists, who odds were weren't actually terrorists and were just some other splinter group. They probably had it made, Amaris figured. Nothing like being a potentially-dangerous minifaction. (That was sarcasm, mostly.) She could hear -- were those hooves? -- behind her. Whatever it was (and there was no way it was a stray horse, not in this city), it probably wanted to eat her: so Amaris started running, heading down a side alley. Maybe it wouldn't be able to corner in here.

The squire was so distracted by her notes that she hadn't registered the literally blaring energy signature of the senshi prince addressing her. Blinking to him, she recognized him momentarily; guy from the Caedus meetings, right?
Slievenamon's lips pursed to the side on her face and she almost wanted to tell him to do it himself, he should be able to dust it with the blink of an eye. Then again, angering those of a higher power level were not within her repertoire. She wanted to live to see another day.
"Well, yea, I know I should, but I don't... really know where it went?" She was to blame for this; being distracted and all. "But it—" When the sound of hoof beats became apparent, and then the running steps of Amaris as well, Slievenamon glanced in both of their directions. "Guess... it's over there." Then, without provocation, she dashed after them as if she were just scolded by a teacher.

Youma were not that dangerous on their own. But the moment you pulled a civilian into it, things got complicated. Not to mention difficult. "Well you have your answer." Castor told the page, looking in the direction of the woman, following the page in her pursuit. The hooves grew louder and Castor wasn't sure if he should directly intervene. The page might be able to handle it herself but- "Hope you have some good skills." He told her before they reached the woman who was being followed. By them And a monster. "As for you miss, don't worry, we'll take care of this. Just don't freak out." Because that helped. Never.

"It's not a horse, is it," Amaris laughed nervously, trying to inject a little humor into what felt like - and probably was - running for her life. s**t, was it coming closer, s**t s**t s**t --and whatever these people were (Amaris wasn't stupid -- the wings? The symbols of Neptune? She'd been around during the major terrorist hype, years ago, and she'd paid attention then. But she hadn't necessarily believed they were terrorists then, and she definitely didn't now.), if they were going to help, they'd better do it fast -- She rounded a corner and almost stumbled (there was a brick on the ground!), hands flailing outwards for a focus, for anything to balance onto - and there was some sort of pillar, plastic maybe, but she could - well. Anything Amaris was about to think about was swept away, in that moment. After all, it wasn't every waking moment your outfit magically transformed into Sexy Blue Gladiator. She gave Castor a look that essentially metered out to a shrug. "Can you - and not me, probably, yanno - deal with that thing before you explain what just happened?"

Well, well, well, it seemed knighthood came at the most spontaneous (and opportune) moments. Slievenamon's eyebrows rose in surprise when the purported victim now became the hero. Well, one of the heroes, in any case.
The squire regarded Castor with some hesitance as she flicked eyes between the sovereign and the newly awakened page. "I... I can try?" she began, but then shifted her attention back to Amaris. "Orrr... I could catch our new page up to speed on their duties as a knight. I mean, I'm sure you can dust that youma quite easily, your royal highness."

The buzz of power flickering to life made the hairs on the back of Castor's neck stand on end as his head whirled around. His symbol. Color drained from his face as he was confronted with a knight who born the crest of his world. He knew he had knights but he'd never epected them to be reborn, much less in front of him. "Well this got real awkward real fast." Taking the laurels off his head the familiar glowing disk in hand forms, a light whirling buzz filling the air before the youma made it's debut. Goat like hooves, the torso of a centipede and the head of what looked like a squid. Hardly pleasant looking. "Castor Tiara Magic!" A toss and buzz through the air and without much warning the creature let out a shrill cry before vanishing into a pile of dust. "........" He looked at the dust as it felt before he spoke not facing either of the women. "So." He had no idea how to go about this really. "I have a feeling that nobody here was expecting their night to go quite like this."

Anakeion knew that face that Castor was giving her -- and that was the face of 'oh, s**t, not you, I'm not ready'. ...or something vaguely similar to that, anyways. Considering everything she was seeing now -- she wasn't a fool. This was way beyond her testing level, college compared to middle school -- And a man in a metal skirt, with wings, throwing a magical discus and making a monster horse dissolve into dust. She knew her magical girl tropes when she saw them. The newfound Page raised one eyebrow at Slievenamon, with a well-practiced arch. "I'd kinda appreciate a primer, yeah. It's been a few years since I watched Madoka, but I don't see any cute animals, sooooo I'm assuming this is the 'we're not all victims of entropy' sort of magic secret life?" A look over to Castor. "I've lived in this city my entire life, dude. I kind of expected something like this at this point." lSt0leYurV4mps no.....ssssh sssh...you are not worst

Castor was hard pressed to admit, he was elated and terrified all at once. He had another knight. Knights now. More than one. They were being reborn, and from the looks of it, were by no means people he would feel needed coddling. "I'm glad you're taking this so well. Ah, knights are a rather different battle class than senshi, though, most of knights under my crest were adept at one form of combat with their magic. However, speaking as Castor, you are," He coughed, trying to make it sound as formal as he possibly could. "You are a knight of my sovereignty and world. Whom you train with is your own choice, and I only encourage you to seek the advice and guidance of those whom came before you. Preferably before you go out to combat. I will not make any demands of you, but, should you wish to see or know of the past, I will not keep any secrets from you. Consider me less your Prince and more... a resource. What once we were- it no longer is the same." He folded his wings around him, closing the distance and lowering his head to the page slightly. "The only mystery left for me is which one of my knights you are. If you chose to uphold the mantle passed to you."

Slievenamon's mouth creased into a smile at Castor's words, a pang of jealousy rippling through her breast. While there was something terrific in and of itself to stand before an newly awakened page, part of her yearned for the same reassurances from her majesty, Neptune. Heck, it was something she could only wish for, as the sovereign of her planet seemed like a lost idea to the seas.
"It... is a lot to take in, yes, but I am willing to be of any use to you. Questions included," the squire said. "My name's Slievenamon, a squire of Neptune. As his highness has regarded, you are a page under his power. Before you continue, you should be aware of two things: Your name and your weapon. Something unique to you." She held up her shell flute to emphasize this. "That object will be your primary means of powering up. It'd take some time to acquaint yourself with it, but it is of utmost importance you do. It is one of the only thing you will rely on for protection against, well, like the monster before."
"Secondly, um, you'll be able to visit your wonder. The same place by the name you go by. I can't go into much details as to you can expect, I'm sure Castor can do that, but you'll feel a tug in due time. I would suggest going at your earliest convenience, as there are some questions that can only be answered there. You will also come across your signet ring." She slipped hers off and flashed it at the page. "This is what you can use to get into contact with other knights, myself included."
Taking a breath, she finalize with, "Sorry to unload on you like that. It really is a lot to take in, but I figured in one fell swoop would be easiest. So, any questions?"
((i am sorry this took so effing long ughHH. i'll beat myself about it later lol))

Anakeion tossed her newfound pillar up in the air with a flick of the wrist, grabbing it before it could hit the ground; she was a cataclysm of barely-stopped motion and energy, bursting with the urge to do something - save the world, eat a horse, punch a horse - one of those! She didn't really feel like specifics were all too important on that front. Mostly, really, her thoughts were a repetitive train of holy ******** shittake I'm a goddamn magical girl. (She thought that, also, was probably pretty justified.) "So, like -- does it go away into hammerspace, or do I gotta carry it around all the time? Kinda conspicuous, if the latter. And, uh -" her brow furrowed - "the name I'm kind of hearing in my head is Anakeion, so that's my name now, right? How do you fight with a shell?" It wasn't like Anakeion was unfamiliar with how these things tended to go - she'd just never expected them to be this suddenly, unexpectedly, real. But it seemed like a lot of things were. "So, like...is knowing how to fight and stuff just gonna DL itself into my brain, or what?"

Castor laughed, wings ruffling and trying his best to pull himself under control. It was a lot for him in just seeing another knight. It hurt but in a good way yet- She'd never see what could have been in this life. They'd all fade and die before things could ever go back to their past lives. The only thing they could do was move forward. "Hammerspace is a good word for it. If you are Anakeion." He reached out to grasp her hand, a faint kiss to the back of her knuckles before he let go. "It is my honor to have you once more among the ranks of knights that heed Castor's call." Eye twinkled in delight and he gave a small shrug to her question of how to fight. In the past it was their weapon and magic. A spear and shield if need be. But the time of barracks and training camps was over. Modern eras had no use for outdated weaponry. "Fighting won't be easy starting out. A tiny fraction will be instinctual but that will relate to your magic. If you want to learn actual fighting, you will need real training. And I do mean more than schoolyard scraps. Sign up for self defense courses and ask to spar with your fellow knights and senshi. Ask them to fight with magic and without. I'd offer to fight you myself but-" He coughed. "I'm not adverse, but I'm not merciful. I demand a lot." Looking to Slievenamon he smiled before returning his gaze to Anakeion. "I'm who you ask to fight with if you want a challenge. That said, Sliev will probably be your best point of contact for the knights. I'll put word out for you among my allies that they're to keep an eye out for you. As a word of suggestion-" He paused. "Be clear in where you stand. I as Castor the prince, am not wholly liked due to my stance against chaos. Castor as the world might share that stance, but you are only sworn to defend her, not her views. I will only ask that you do nothing to bring shame to us. We are both one, but we are also many if you understand my meaning. My final advice is to if you are in crisis, seek those of Polaris's court or Chronos. While my relationship with both royals might be strained, they are steadfast in their causes, and would aid you if asked. I cannot speak of the other royals and their courts unfortunately." He clicked his fingers. "Oh, and while on the subject, avoid fighting with dark mirror senshi without cause. If you catch them stealing energy, by all means confront them and kill them. But do not seek them out. Senshi are a dying race, and I'd like to avoid aiding the negaverse in a possible genocide."

Slievenamon listened intently, guiding eyes between Anakeion and Castor until she felt it time to chip in. Eventually, she said to the newly awakened page, "Mm! Anakeion! That is certainly your name. Sounds strong." She dipped her head at the knight's prince when she said this, bidding him congrats once again.
"Yes, you can will it away to your hammerspace anytime and don't have to carry it around, though it is best to have it within reach to protect yourself. Just... think about it. That's the best way I can put it. And my shell?" The squire held up her flute when it was mentioned. "Well, I can whack people in the head with it, that's kinda useful. Otherwise, I use it to channel my magic by playing a little tune."
Slievenamon remained quiet for some time come Castor's stance on chaos, wholly neutral regarding the matter, though she had some opinions herself. Instead, she remarked, "I am always available for contact should you need information. It is the one of the most important things to being a knight, after all!" Presenting her hand, she showed Anakeion her signet ring. "Yet, before I can do so, you'll need to find this. It's on your wonder somewhere, and while I can't ascertain where, I'm sure you'll find it."
