Fiona was in a foul mood as she stomped over to the address that she's strong armed Khaleel out of when she'd insisted, very irritably, that he remain in her spare bedroom and to not move a muscle until she returned. She was dressed in a pale green dress with a pale blue sweater pulled over it and tall brown boots that stretched up to her knees and her long red hair was pulled into a braid that cascaded down over her shoulder. The woman looked utterly worn and exhausted, with a still healing but split lip and light bruising on her legs when her dress shifted enough to expose pale skin.

There might have even been small burns, it was hard to tell with how she'd covered herself.

In her hand was a sheet of paper with a bunch of information scribbled across it clenched tightly enough in her hand that crinkles could be seen on the page. When she reached the door, she inhaled sharply and lifted her hand, ready to knock on the door. It probably wasn't necessary for her to make a personal trip out to where Khaleel lived, but she wanted his cousin to at the very least, meet the person he'd be staying with for how ever long Fiona deemed it necessary for him to stay with her.

She could have let him go to the hospital and had half a mind to do just that, but they were expensive and Khaleel hadn't started the job she procured for him yet. Besides, it was perfect hands on experience for the med courses she'd started.

Exhaling, Fiona rapped her knuckles on the door.

It was pure luck that Fiona happened by the apartment at that moment, because Colin had been at the hospital - and would be, for some time yet - but he'd been brought back to get a few things and make arrangements with his neighbors, friends, and family to take care of things while he was away. He'd also insisted that his mother couldn't go alone to fetch him clothing and the like, which was why they were both there when she knocked.

Colin's mother, Rebecca, answered the door and greeted an exhausted looking Fiona. "Oh, hello dear. Are you here for Collie? He's resting on the couch, come on in hon."

From inside the apartment came a tired sounding voice, and once Fiona stepped in she'd see the curly haired dancer propped up on his couch with an IV bag hanging from a T bar attached to what was a hospital issue wheelchair (borrowed for the trip). He didn't recognize the young woman, pursing his lips a bit - a strange woman showing up at his apartment when his cousin was missing after the Castle raid debacle? Very likely she knew something about Khaleel. "Hey Mom, can you finish packing while we chat?"

Mrs. Hargrove gave her son a thoughtful look, then addressed Fiona again, "Try to not tire him out too much, dear. The hospital let him come home for a bit, but we had to promise he wouldn't over do it." She then did as her son asked, understanding that he wanted some privacy but not knowing why - this wasn't Nadia, or Vanessa. Maybe one of his friend's girlfriends?

"So," Colin sipped some water and gave Fiona a bit of a smile, head wrapped in bandages but also covered in a beanie; his hands were bandaged up and while he wore pajamas, it was clear he wasn't in the best of shape, "What can I do for you?"

He's hospitalized himself but I had planned to have him return for some supplies so like, this works really well! :3

Fiona honestly didn't know what to expect when the door finally opened and her hand dropped, mouth open slightly with words that seemed to disappear from her brain when she was faced with an older woman and not the curly blond that Khaleel had described to her.

Are you here for Collie?

Collie was probably a nickname for Colin, Fiona reasoned which is why she nodded, offering the woman a polite smile and a curt nod. "Thank you," she mumbled stepping through the door and seeing the man who'd been described to her.

Mismatched eyes took in the man's appearance, sternness in her expression melding into something softer, more concerned. He looked awful and, once again, Fiona was grateful that her injuries from the Dark Kingdom, and the subsequent battles she'd intervened in after, had been minimal.

There were slight burns on her hands, and cuts, that'd been sloppily bandaged, from her dragon-riding excursion, but otherwise everything was scrapes and bruises. She'd been lucky.

Colin had not, with whatever he'd gone through.

"I'm here about Khaleel," she said plainly after a long stretch of silence where she'd been cataloging his wounds. The IV drip worried her, because if he was hurt enough to warrant it...

She shook her head, braid shifting across her chest with the motion, before extending the slightly crumpled paper towards the man on the couch. "He got into a fight, sustained some semi-serious injuries and - " she stopped to inhale shakily. For all of her outward confidence, the redhead was a quaking mess inside. Too many brushes with death, too many people she cared about hurt.

Too many people she didn't know that were hurt who she wanted to be able to help better, like Colin who she was sure she'd like if only because he was Khaleel's cousin.

"I'm keeping him at my house, because I'm worried he won't stay on bed-rest if he doesn't but, since he lives with you and is horrible with communication I thought it was best if I came an told you myself." More often than not the tan-skinned man would just show up at her door or contact her last minute to do something, so she assumed the erratic information flow extended to everyone else in his life. "That paper has all of my information if you need it."

'I'm here about Khaleel.' Fiona's words caused Colin's eyes to widen a bit in what would have been a brow arch...if he'd still had them. He'd been observing her as she observed him, taking measure on an external level in the off-hand way all people do, but not making any judgements beyond that she was a lovely girl and had some very striking eyes.

"I was wondering what happened to him." Khaleel hadn't been gravely wounded during the Castle fiasco, but he'd definitely needed tending. That Colin hadn't known where he was paired with his inability to get up and look for him, had caused anxiety when he wasn't heavily sedated. "After." The danseur caught Fiona's concerned glance at his IV bag and tried giving her a reassuring smile, but it was more like a tired grimace. "Having some trouble keeping me hydrated." And also, morphine, but she doesn't need to worry about me, I'll be fine with time.

For a moment, he wondered if the redhead knew what the real reason his cousin needed tending was - was she senshi? Had Khaleel entrusted her with his secret identity as a senshi as he once had with Björn?

From the dusky smudges under her eyes and the obvious weariness around her...it was possible.

Colin listened quietly as she spoke, nodding a little at her assessment of Khaleel's communication skills (for the most part, Colin felt his cousin just forgot because he lived very much in the moment) and took the paper with the hand that didn't have an IV line in. "Thank you."

"I knew he was hurt, I just didn't know where he ended up." Colin spoke quietly, eyes searching her face, "I was there too." It was a risk, a calculated one -- he had a really good feeling about Fiona, but he could always lie if he needed to. Not that he wanted to lie, or was very good at it...but...he could do it, if necessary.

"Yeah well, your cousin has a good heart but doesn't know how to not get in over his head." It came out harsher than she intended but she was tired, bruised, and well - she hadn't wanted to meet Colin like this. It didn't matter that she didn't know how she'd hoped her first meeting with Khaleel's cousin would go but it certainly hadn't entailed her showing up at his doorstep unannounced looking for all the world like a woman on a mission.

Fiona had always been a get things done type of gal and she had been sure that Colin would worry if someone didn't get in contact and this way - well, she could have contact with the dancer she heard so much about.

"You look like you walked straight into the fires of hell and managed to come out raw, pink and eyebrow-less," she managed to tease in an attempt to lighten the mood slight. She hadn't meant for it all to be so tense and serious. "You look like you came out a victor even if you might've been a little singed." Her hands tingled with the reminders of her minor burns. What had she been thinking making Altais launch her at the dragon? "But - if you need help with anything. I want to."

The blonde was important to Khaleel and therefore, Fiona wanted to do what she could for him.

"This isn't - He's not staying with me because of that. I mean he did, for one night but then - " she huffed a sigh, pinching the bridge of her nose between her forefinger and thumb. "He got in a fight later and - let's just say I'm glad I got there when I did." Khaleel hadn't needed to be hospitalized but he'd been close. If she'd been any further away, if her magic hadn't given her that boost then -

She shuddered thinking about it.

"We got lucky that none of us were seriously injured except - " Celsus, Fritz, didn't really count did he? He'd been in poor shape before negaspace. "I've been taking med courses so that I can help eliminate that 'need to go to the hospital' we all seem to have. It gets expensive after a while." And not everyone had the fortune she did to come from old money or have a stable income.

"Should I assume you look like that because you followed my lead and decided to go riding?"

Fiona's estimation of Khaleel was not inaccurate; she could have been talking about Colin himself and he knew just how much worry and strain he caused to his friends and loved ones. If her tone was sharp, it was warranted and the danseur did not take it poorly, no - he understood. He'd used the same sort of tone talking to Nadia about Lorne and Auguste, hadn't he?

"Close." He smiled thinly, "I roped the dragon and rode it. Seemed like a good idea at the time...now, not so much." Her offer of help was met with a gentle motion of his hand, if she'd been there as well, then she needed to rest. Besides, she was caring for his cousin, that was more than enough. "Just take care of Khaleel for me, I've help enough for when I get out of the hospital for good."

"But thank you."

Wait, was she telling him his idiot cousin had gotten into another fight? No wonder she had a pinched look tinged with annoyance at talking about it. "Well--" Wait up again -- Colin blinked at her owlishly, mouth falling open again as she identified herself. The girl with the red hair, that dragonfly senshi? That's Fiona? Hoolycrap-- "Dragonflies. That's you." Now that he'd put it together, it seemed silly that he hadn't noticed the resemblance before, but that was glamour magic for you.

"Yes, actually. Seemed like a fantastic idea. There was a small girl too...I'm really glad you came out of it so well." Stupid dragon, stupid flaming b*****d. As much fun as it might have been mentally slandering the greater youma, Colin snapped out of it when recalling why she was there. "Ah, did you want to pick up some of Khaleel's things while you're here? There's a small plastic drawer thing in the linen closet that's his..." Underwear, shirts, that sort of thing. Some of his cousin's clothes were in his closet and dresser as well, but he couldn't imagine she'd need a bunch of jeans or slacks.

"Things often seem great in theory until you go through with it," she sighed thinking of all the stupid things she'd been doing recently. "But you don't always get a chance to think before you need to act so you take what you get." She didn't regret her choices but sometimes she wished she that thought about what she was doing before she did it.

"If you change your mind, let me know."

Fiona was great at getting things managed and handled if she said so herself. Her med classes were proving to be more and more useful. "Poor Khaleel got the run around, fared worse that I did I'm afraid." Between herself and Corvus, he'd been running back and forth and well -

She hadn't given him much of a warning when she dropped.

"That would be great," she agreed, heading towards the indicated closet to grab the drawer. With the plastic tote against her hip she returned to Collin and smiled tentatively. "You and Khaleel are a lot a like so, please don't get into too much trouble before you've given yourself a chance to heal. You can't take care of anyone else if you don't take care of yourself too."

Colin could not suppress the wry twist of his smile as he agreed with Fiona's words; in theory many of the things he'd done had been good ideas until he'd tried putting them to practice, with disastrous results. "Very, very true." I really like her, I hope we can be friends. I hope Khaleel keeps her, she's really a phenomenal woman.

"I will. And if you need anything from me..." He didn't really need to expand on that statement; Fiona was intelligent, no doubt she'd understand that Colin's friendship was being extended and that he would do for her anything he could to help when he could do so. "He has a knack for finding trouble. I'm afraid that's a family trait too."

Fiona would return to find that Colin had brought his phone out and had it resting on one knee, held in place by long, bandaged fingers. "You're a very kind person, Fiona. We're lucky to know you." He curled his fingers loosely around the phone and gave the redhead another tired smile, "Would you mind putting your number in? I'd like to have your information, just in case." And of course, he could be able to text her his so that if they needed to contact one another, it wasn't entirely reliant upon Khaleel's memory or phone.

From the room down the hall, a few dull thuds could be heard; drawers closing, or a suitcase being closed and righted on it's rollers. Colin didn't look forward to returning to the hospital, but he did look forward to resting again; even being out just this little amount of time was taxing for his damaged and healing body.

"Yes, of course," Fiona said almost absently. Her attention was scattered as she gathered up some necessities for her friend before returning to Colin on the couch. She seemed to give him a once over before offering a tired smile.

"I'm just a person Collin, but thank you." Fiona appreciated the compliment, but she didn't think of herself anything other than human or Fiona. If that meant she was kind, then she was kind. Gentle fingers picked the phone from it's perch and her fingers typed across the screen to provide him with her number. "Of course."

Colin was Khaleel's cousin and he'd always spoken so fondly of the blond. Perhaps it was foolish, but she knew that she trusted the man already. "I appreciate the assistance today, despite my intrusion and I hope that the hospital treats you as well as a hospital can."

Kind and humble, no wonder Khaleel liked her so much - no wonder he found himself liking her very much as well. There was just something so honest about Fiona, it made it very easy for Colin to place her within the warm shelter of his friendship.

Colin favored Fiona with another tired but genuine smile, taking his phone back and tucking it slowly into one of his pajama pants pockets for safe-keeping. "You're very welcome, Fiona."

Rebecca Hargrove came back out just in time to hear her son thanking the pretty red-haired young woman once more. "All taken care of then?" One of Colin's smaller dance bags was fat with clothing and even a few books to keep him occupied when he was feeling up to reading. She gave Fiona a kind but firm smile, "It's time to get him back to the hospital, but you're welcome to visit with Collie there."

With a bit of help from his mother, Colin was settled back into the wheelchair, his bag lain across blanket-covered thighs, ready to return to the hospital once good-byes had been said.

When Colin's mother returned, Fiona stepped away from him automatically, offering her the same polite smile that she'd given Colin. "Of course, thank you Mrs. Hargrove," she replied politely, collecting the gathered belongings for Khaleel and stepping back towards the door.

"Please take care," she stated, addressing both even if it was directed more firmly towards the dancer.

Afterwards, the woman didn't linger, seeing no point in drawing it out any further despite having enjoyed the man's company, however brief. She saw herself to the door, sparing both Hargroves a final glance before she was slipping out the door, shutting it carefully behind her.
