Pride. That was the one feeling that was coursing throughout him right now. He stared at the four cubs that had been blessed to them during the night while he and his mate had slept and now here he was, standing over their tiny forms in amazement at the Weavers wonders. Careful not to disturb the pile he walked around to where his mate slept and nudged her softly. He wanted her to be awake for this. It was an intense feeling and one full of awe and an overwhelming sense of satisfaction and completion. Indeed meeting Illuminanta had filled a gap in his very core but this filled something different.
His gaze shifted from his mate to the pile before him. One of them had begun to move and he just watched, silently as life stirred before his very eyes. He felt like a cub experiencing the world for the first time. Wonder and amazement filled his senses and he fought the urge to do a little prance as he waited and watched.
WC: 174 There was a feeling of awareness that came to her mind as she suddenly felt the presence of others nearby. The second thing she became away of was smell, it was a calming sensation, a familiarity that her brain recognized as family. Eyes opened and ears twisted as she was staring at.... She wasn't actually sure. All she knew is that she was staring at fur and scales. She lifted her head and realized it was the back of one of her litter mates. Golden orbs flashed as she blinked her eyes and realized there was more than just the three bodies piled around her.
Her head shifted upwards towards the looming presence of what her mind was telling her was a family member and the more she looked at the figure the more her brain told her it was her paternal parent. She realized why everything felt so safe and comforting. She was wedged between two siblings and with a wiggle she crawled her way from the pile only to fall on her face in a manner of speaking. She wasn't hurt, she just wasn't sure about anything. It was all new and overwhelming so she sat there for a moment to just allow everything to sink in.

Lucent stirred and young eyes found sunlight- pulling a comically oversized paw over his face leaving just a sliver of light- each digit flexing in a dextrous manner letting in small slivers of light. The cubs pupils dilating from points to normal. as he adjusted the cub feeling a tapping nearby looking up to see ... Father he decided. Rising, and quickly falling again into the soft patch of grass with a small squeak. The cub rose again and approached the large cat with a slow wobbly gait. Head butting the paw that was roughly the size of the cubs head, a low deep purr beginning to resonate from the cubs chest.

As soon as the idols had been blessed, Iluminata had spent all of her time watching them. Her work had been put off, her previous projects neglected, but she had little remorse on the topic. She was going to be a mother! She would have time to work on her craft again, maybe with little paws to help her. The idea filled her with a great joy, warming her from her nose to the tip of her tail. The notion had pulled her to sleep, on yet another of the days she had been watching the idols. She would have slept the entire day away had her beloved not woken her.
"My love?" She asked, before her eyes widened and turned to where the idols had once sat. Now, in their place were cubs. Her eyes shone with unfallen tears as she looked from her mate to the cubs. She was a mother! She was just stepping towards her newly woven cubs when one of them toppled forward. Making a gentle cooing sound, Illuminata approached to look the young thing over. It was a girl, she noticed. She and Ecthelion had waited long for this moment, thank the Weaver for their miracles. As she began to lay in front of the cub, nuzzling the young thing into her reach, she beckoned her mate closer with her tail.
"Look at them, Ecthelion. Aren't they all darling?" She murmured, in case she would hurt the ears of her daughters and sons. "I wonder who she will become." She asked, bending her head to lick her daughter's cheek, only to spy another of their cubs waddling towards her mate and her purring was interrupted with a melodic chuckle. "He is especially adventurous, don't you think?"WC: 301 There was a dim light in the area, but somehow it still managed to fall upon the cub's face, causing him to blink quickly as he gained suddenly all of his senses at once. Around him, he felt warm and seemed to smell it too. He could hear and somehow understand the voices around him, and while he certainly couldn't understand all of the words there, it was as though the little one was born with the knowledge of language, even if it we're just the basics.
If only he knew the basics of walking too. It started badly, for the two siblings he was laying beside suddenly up and toddled away, leaving him cold and slightly grumpy. To show this, he let out a displeased mew, a demand that someone come and warm him immediately. When no one did, his eyes finally opened and he saw the reason why. The two that had wandered off had gone to their parents--they had to be, reasoned his very basic vocabulary. They looked very similar to his siblings, and if he could see himself, he was certain they looked like him too.
Then, he saw his littlest sibling. She had not yet wandered away from him, and if he had his way, then she wouldn't be able to. With a sudden surge of feeling, he pressed up on his paws and stood and managed to make it over to her, before collapsing on top of his sister with a triumphant mew. Now he was warm again, though he had no way of knowing it was more from the sudden exercise than flattening the kitten underneath him. All he knew was that his problem had been solved and he was in no hurry to move anytime soon.WC: 299 ((Family RP is best RP!)) itsie bitsie spider It was Cressida that Florizel fell upon, in case it was too difficult to tell.

Even for all the stirrings in the small world of her family about her, the little cub had been unmotivated to wake from her sleep. Though, a soft mewl of a protest made its way from her mouth as all the noises about her were interrupting the once peaceful rest she was enjoying. Even with the morning light shining down on them in a gentle glow, she didn't wish to stir from where she was. Just continue to enjoy the warmth it provided as she slept.
That peaceful slumber, however, was not meant to last for the cub. The sudden and unexpected crushing sensation caused her eyes to shoot wide open. One of her siblings had so decided she was to be their resting place and being flopped upon in such a manner was not something that was expected, nor wanted. She cried out in protest as she tried to find her strength in her arms and legs, trying to pull herself out from beneath his weight... but it was to no avail. She cried out with another mewl of protest, searching with still blurry and unadapted eyes for a solution to this predicament. Noting the two larger forms as she searched for help that she was certain to be her parents, she cried out to them, hoping they might save her from being used as a bed by her sibling.WC 231 i hope this is okay! like i said, i'm new to rp here. i guess no better way to be brought into it, than through a newly awoken cub <3

Gaze fell upon one of their daughters as she flopped onto the floor after wedging herself out from between her siblings. He couldn't help but stifle a small chuckle that wasn't meant to be anything but harmless. He watched her as she took in the sights around them and marveled at her already budding curiosity. He wondered what she would do as she grew and how she would contribute to the tribe as a whole. He wondered that about each of them. It was an empowering feeling, imagining the wonders their little paws would one day do. His gas shifted over towards the lighter Tah as he stirred and stumbled forth towards his mate and himself.
He looked down upon the cub as he purred and headbutted his paw and he gave a warm smile at him as he looked over at his mate. "They are quite wonderful my love. The GrandWeaver has blessed us well." He said to her as he looked down upon one of their sons. His gaze shifted over to their darker son as he stirred as well but quickly fell upon their lighter sister. They were quite graceful. Hopefully it wouldn't go into their adulthood. He could only imagine. The lighter Nantlil seemed to be perplexed by her brothers falling upon her and he moved forward to assist the situation. "No worries dear one." He said softly as he carefully picked the dark colored Tahtll up and removed him from his sister. He knew there was no harm done and he placed him beside his lighter brother. He was anxious for one of them to speak first.
WC: 272The movement of her siblings stole her attention from their parents and she watched as so many things seemed to happen all at once. Their mothers tongue caressing her cheek, their brother falling upon their sister and the other brother approached their fathers massive looking paws. Would her paws be that big when she grew? She looked down at her tiny paws and could only imagine if she grew to be as big as them. It just seemed impossible for her tiny mind to imagine such a thing in this point of her existence. She looked towards both parents as they spoke and listened as the Nantlil spoke a word. It was a name. It wasn't hers though.
Hesperia.
The name came to her clearly and she recognized it as her own. Her mouth felt strange and her chest tight as she felt pressure stirring within her small form and she realized then she was attempting to say something and she recognized it as her name spilling forth from her lips. "Hesperia..... I..... am..." Though it sounded weird to her. Backwards? She shook her head and tried again. "I.. am Hesperia." She felt as though it was right this time and she beamed happily in that moment as she realized she had spoken her calling aloud to them. She gazed at her siblings, one by one and took in their markings and smells so she would always know them.

Illuminata's gaze flitted between all four of her cubs, unsure of who to rest her eyes upon the longest. If only they could group together so that she may look at them all at once. At the sound of protesting mews, her gaze was drawn to two, a Tahtll and Nantlil. The brother had fallen upon his sister rather unceremoniously. She was shifting in preparation to rise to their aid, when Ecthelion was suddenly beside them. He received a small growl from the brother and Illuminata's eyes brightened. It seemed they may have a trouble maker on their paws.
Then, a tiny voice drew her attention back to the Nantlil in front of her paws. She spoke quietly at first, getting used to the way one was made to speak and then became louder as she announced her name. Hesperia... How darling!
"Hello, Hesperia, my dear." Replied Illuminata, laying herself down before her cub in order to make level eye contact with her daughter. "I am your mother, Illuminata. Of course, you may call me Mother. In fact, it would so delight me if you would. And he is your father," Her eyes turned to Ecthelion and her smile grew wider, her eyes softer. "Ecthelion, come say hello to Hesperia."WC: 208 The young cub was not at all pleased to suddenly be picked up by a force much stronger than his own self and decided to voice his protest in a hearty growl. It was squeakier than he would have liked, but he would improve, Florizel was suddenly sure of that.
Florizel? Where had that come from? He was uncertain to where it had, but he was suddenly quite sure that it was his name and he wanted to boast it to all who could hear him. As he was placed next to another cub, his brother, he thought, he was turning to who he could only assume to be his father (they looked similar, even though the older was much bigger than himself, for now...) but to his dismay, his sister spoke first. Then suddenly a flood of words came pouring from his mother and everyone was paying attention to Hesperia and not him! He had to put a stop to this at once!
"FLORIZEL!" The sound of his own voice, new and loud and much more forceful than his growl shook him and he rolled backwards from the force the shout had provided. He looked up at the sunlight filtering through the trees and then he rolled forward with some effort and stood up tall and straight as he could. Then, with surprisingly little effort, he said again, "Florizel, that's ME!" He looked from his parents to his brother and sisters and the inclination to continue shouting took hold of him. "Who are YOU?" WC: 255

Lucent looked up at the dark scaled male and mewed softly before wandering around and finding the end of the tail- pulling it down to himself wrapping it around his small body burrowing his face deep into the fur and starting to doze off. His time to speak would come, perhaps shortly, but for the moment the tiny cub contented himself to slumbering beside his family. (Sorry for the short post, my muses are being fickle.)
