It had taken some time, but Dia was determined to learn how to hone in power signatures. Too many times now, someone had snuck up on her and that was just unacceptable.

How on Earth was she going to be any good at preying on senshi or civilians if she herself was going to fall prey to so many surprise attacks?

Nope, nope, nope.

It was going to be her turn to trap some prey, instead of becoming fodder for someone else. So she sat atop the local McDonald's, eyes closed as she focused and meditated on the world around her. It was dark - at least after ten - and she knew the good old faithful golden arches were one of the only restaurants open so late into the evening. Surely someone, good or bad, would be getting hungry and wandering closer to the cheap, fast food establishment at some point this evening.

And she would find them.

And she would be the predator, this time, and not the prey.

She felt a presence, a tiny blip of a feeling that surged through her. It was a distasteful feeling - much like the feeling she got when a White Moon was near - but this one was... different?

It was hard to determine why this one was different. Strawberry and cotton candy were both sweet and delicious, but their own separate flavors, just as this aura felt similar but unique in its own right as well.

Interesting.

Her eyes fluttered open, adjusting to the darkness around her. The only source of light was artificial, the lamp posts and restaurant gleaming while the moon remained shrouded by an ample number of clouds. There was nothing on the rooftop with her (which was a good sign, in retrospect), meaning that whatever source was giving off this aura was beneath her.

Crawling to the side of the building, she used what power she could to recognize the direction of the aura. It grew stronger the further she drew to the edge, a promising sign.

Peering over the edge, however, was a disappointment. There was nothing on the pavement, save for empty parking spaces and a fat feline who had taken to munching on the discarded remains of a french fry container.

What in the world...?

Frustrated, she hopped over the ledge, landing with a graceful click as black stilettos made contact with the cement. She looked around in search of the aura, which still gave off a significantly strong pulse, but saw nothing.

It finally dawned on her as she stared down at the hungry puss.

"But you're a cat."

Her head tilted, looking quizzical.

"A cat."

Arms moved to fold themselves across her chest as she continued to stare down at him. When the furry little thing tried to offer her some of his fries, she continued to stare at him. It was tempting - he played the cuteness factor very well - but he still stunk of White Moon aura.

"So you're one of those cats, huh."

She took another step closer, peering down and inspecting the pudgy little thing. He definitely felt different than either Grendel or Lace, despite basic similarities. He had a star, but it was green. Ears, whiskers, stubby little paws, a tai---

Wait.

"Where's your tail? Aren't cats supposed to have tails?"

Unable to help herself, a small smirk perked up on the side of her lips.

She was being a cat bully.

Shamed by her own conscience, the corrupt senshi knelt down and patted the tubby tabby on the head. She wasn't going to go so far as to eat dirty fries from off of the street to please the feline, but she could give him a decent ear scratch, at the very least.

One gloved hand moved further to gently rub behind his ear, partially to soothe the worried beast while at the same time hopefully preventing him from summoning whatever senshi companions that might be lurking in the shadows. Or heck, even in the McDonald's, for all she knew.

Then, an idea formed in her head. Was she really going to stoop to lying to a kitty?

"I bet you'd grow one if you joined my team."

Yeah, yeah she was.

Priscilla had never owned a cat before in her life. So it went without saying, she was not aware that a person should not confront, nor further approach, a startled cat that had already begun to back away.

As the feline made his retreat, she pursued. His tiny backpedaling wasn't hard to keep up with, her heels softly clicking across the white line of the parking space as she stepped forward once, then twice.

"C'mon now, don't be so shy little one. We'd take good care of you in the Negaverse. All the tuna and toys you could ever ask for."

How did one infuse Chaos into a cat, anyhow? Surely it was possible, if Grendel and Lace had been cured of their White Moon poison. Maybe it would be better if she let an authority figure handle it.

"I'll introduce you to Laurelite. She's a really pretty General Queen who would absolutely love to meet you."

And with that, she outstretched her hand for him.

"H-Hey, no, wait!"

But he was off. The furry little fatty ran a heck of a lot faster than Dia would have counted on. Who would have guessed?

Committed to her plan, the senshi took off after the cat, making a dash and silently cursing how ridiculous she probably looked, a grown woman chasing after an extra-large ginger cat down a dark street. Her hair whipped behind her, black lace dancing in the air as her fists balled up. She'd probably be rewarded, bringing in a White Moon cat to her superior. This could be her chanc---ack!

A crack in the pavement proved to be her downfall, the space between cement pieces snagging the end of her heel and snapping off with a loud CR-AAAACK. Down the candy senshi flew, hands now spreading out to catch her fall as her body smacked against the pavement.

Glancing up and shoving pink waves out of her face, she watched the feline dash around the corner. Her shoe was ruined and she certainly wasn't about to run around the dirty streets with no shoes on.

Fudge.

It looked like the prey had eluded the predator...this time.
