He had to tell Sasha. He really didn't want to but how else was he going to explain why he was now going to be permanently living with Abel? He just had to tell him and hope he didn't hate him. He didn't dare hope for anything more than that, Sasha couldn't help him. Taavi rubbed his face, steeled his nerve and started to type out a message.
//Hey, I need to talk to you. Kind of urgent. Somewhere private? I don't have anywhere. Suggestions?//
He read the message over and over again for about five minutes but his mind was too numb to think of anything better. Eventually he added; //xx// to the end and then hit send. It would have to do.

Lex frowned slightly as his phone went off and pulled it out, resting against the a tree as he read the text. His newest pokemon, once again his sister had presented him with an Pokemon- a young eevee continued to bound ahead, tail held hide.
//Umm? Mountains? Movie theaters early day when the hype of movies are done. Be in Camphoreon as soon as I can,// he added. "Jupe, over here!" He called and reached for his pokeball, going over the ones on his waist until he found Howlbacks. He paused and typed again. //Meet you at the park?//
He recalled the eevee and let out his Crobat, scratching between her ears. "Ready for a flight?" He questioned, waiting for a reply.

//Sure, I'll be at the usual spot.//
Taavi sighed, tucked his pokegear away in its pouch, and turned to climb up onto Valour's back. His heart felt like lead in his chest but he couldn't put this off, he'd been hiding the truth for long enough.
They touched down in the park a little while later and Taavi sat down on a bench to wait for Sasha with his elbows on his knees and his chin in his hands.
Perhaps it would actually be a relief in the end, and if Sasha couldn't forgive him.... He would still have his pokemon friends and that was something to be grateful for.

//Be there as soon as I can.// He replied and shut his phone, tucking it in his coat. He hugged Howl before zipping up the leather and grinned as the large bat set her claws into the jacket and lifted.
They touched down gratefully, and Lex leaned against her, accepting the warm nuzzle of affection before looking around for Taavi. "Taavi!" He called.

It wasn't too long before Sasha turned up; Taavi smiled wearily and got to his feet with an effort of will. "Hey there." Though he could force a smile he couldn't inject his usual energy and enthusiasm at seeing Sasha into his voice, faking things wasn't his strong suit.
Feeling as though there were weights attached to him, dragging him down, Taavi walked over to his boyfriend, wrapped him in a tight hug and buried his face in his shoulder. "Everything's ******** up Sasha. I'm sorry." He wanted to draw this out, to have just a little longer with Sasha not knowing what he'd done and still wanting to have him around. If he could have stayed with Sasha when he'd been kicked out of his apartment none of this would have happened, none of it! He'd never met Sasha's landlord but he hated him for that, would it have been that bad to let him stay a little while? Really?

There he was! Lex left Howlback to give Taavi a warm hug. "Taavi?" He murmured, hugging his boyfriend tight and gently nuzzled him. Welp, something was seriously wrong.
"Taavi?" He questioned, reaching up to stroke the dark hair. "What's ******** up? You can tell me."

Taavi squeezed his eyes shut and hung onto Sasha tighter, savouring his boyfriend's concern just in case this was the last of it.
It was a gray day, nobody else was around and so eventually Taavi raised his head and wordlessly tugged Sasha over to the bench. He sat down and tried to think of how to even begin, rhythmically stroking the back of Sasha's pale hand with his dark thumb as his thoughts skipped and jittered.
"I told you I left home when I was sixteen right?" he began eventually, his voice quiet and weighed down by hopelessness. "Well I... didn't go straight to Hoenn. I did something stupid, really stupid but I thought it was right at the time I...." He couldn't put it off any longer. Taavi closed his eyes and bowed his head. "I joined Team Plasma. I thought that we'd free all pokemon from bad trainers, and those who really had a bond with their human friend would stay with them by choice! I... it seemed like a cause I could give my life to and it was somewhere I felt safe and like I belonged and there were people who cared about me and I wasn't scared anymore and I had enough to eat and-" Taavi'd voice broke with a sob and he raised his free hand to his mouth to try to stifle more; his other hand gripped Sasha's tightly.
He'd been sixteen, alone, lost. All he'd wanted was to do what was right, to be safe, to be wanted. Was that really so awful?

Lex followed, settling close to Taavi and leaned against him, listening carefully and gave a soft ooh noise and nuzzled softly. "Plasma... wasn't around when I was training, and when I stopped, well... I wasn't in the area." He nuzzled softly.
"And I always had my mother and sister to fall back onto, but I get it," he admitted. "I've done some stupid stuff, not so much as to belong but more to separate myself as far as my father as I could." He had done a lot of stupid things.
"But, Plasma, Plasma has charisma, I heard some of their speeches and I get it... they sound wonderful. Specially when you are 16 and alone and I'm not going to judge you for that Taavi. It was a cult, you are stronger then you think. Takes a lot to tell people about your past."

He wasn't judging him? Didn't hate him? Taavi sagged against Sasha with relief and rested his forehead on the blond's shoulder as he let out a shaky breath. "Thank you... But that's not the problem. Well it is but it's-" He had to paused and swallow hard before he could continue. "Somebody else found out and she's blackmailing me so I... Well I have to give her everything I'm making from my new job pretty much and I have to stay with Abel until I don't even know when because I can't afford a place to live." And Sasha lived in an amazing house with an amazing landlord for practically nothing, why couldn't the landlord just let him stay? He wouldn't get in the way! He'd go out the window if the weird a*****e wanted him to!

"Taavi, ******** her. Don't let her blackmail you with that. You were sixteen and a lot of people do stupid s**t when they are sixteen. Heck, unless she has hard proof it your word and against her. Don't let her take your money over that." Lex frowned. "Heck, tell me who she is and I'lll punch her in the jaw for being a total b***h."

Let her? Taavi pulled away suddenly and shot to his feet, fists clenched. "Let her? I'm not letting her I haven't- it's not a choice Sasha!" Sasha always made everything sound like it was so simple, so easily solved, such a minor issue, and he wanted it to be but it wasn't. "You think if she tells the police they'll just say," Taavi gestured wildly at the air, "oh you were sixteen and dumb and sad? That's okay then! Free pass! I don't know if she's got evidence but I can't take that risk!"
Taavi sat down again abruptly as all the strength seemed to go out of his legs; he hunched over on himself and his hair fell forward, obscuring his face. "I don't want you in any danger Sasha," he murmured hoarsely. "She's got... I don't know, some kind of power or connections or something. If you went after her you'd probably have a nasty accident or something. You can't solve things like this just by punching them." He wished he could believe it was as easy as just denying her or hitting her or something, that he could wave his hands and make it all go away and get Isaac back safe and make everything wonderful but life wasn't like that. "Life's a b***h." And eventually you die.

Lex watched, giving a frown as Taavi gestated, angry and then slumped as if all the energy left him in a rush. "And living under her thumb would be so much better?" He questioned quietly. "Not saying they are going to give you a free pass, but how is living with that hanging over your head any better then in jail? It equals the same damn thing Taavi."
"I'm going to be fine Taavi, heck, I'll like to see her try something." He replied, eyes narrowed and sighed, leaning against him. "No one said life isn't a b***h, Taavi. This sucks... a lot." He sighed, fingers tapping, antsy before fishing out a cigarette. "Smoke?"

Taavi eyed the cigarette, he'd never smoked in his life but Abel seemed to find it reassuring....
"No thanks," he said after a pause, "I don't think I can afford to get the habit." The same thing. It wasn't though. Taavi sighed and rubbed his face. "It's not the same," he said heavily. "This is bad but that would be worse. At least I can go where I like and see who I want to, see you. If I got locked up the pokemon registered to me would be put into storage, I couldn't do that to Valour and the others. I.... Maybe she'll lose interest in me in the end." She wouldn't.
"I... I'm sorry Sasha." Taavi looked up at the blond again, his face etched with lines of worry and exhaustion. "I didn't come expecting you to fix this I just felt I had to tell you so you wouldn't wonder why I was living with another guy for so long. I didn't mean for any of this to happen. I love you." He did, he realised. What a s**t time to come out with it though.

Lex lit the smoke and took a long drag and let the smoke out slowly through his nostrils, face thoughtful. "I get that, I like my freedom, I like being able to see who I want, when I want." He doubt she would loose interested, once someone became a target, they stayed a target.
"I would hate to see you locked up if it came to that, but I hate knowing you are being black mail by some b***h who taking advantage of a low point in your life." Lex shifted, giving Taavi a soft kiss. "And well, it's Able. Don't see him as much of a threat..." kind of a d**k, but ehh. Understandable there.
He paused and flushed lightly, smiling brightly. "Love you to."

Everything was awful, but this wasn't. Taavi smiled back, still tired but genuine now. "It could be worse," he said, leaning against Sasha again and breathing in the cloud of clove smoke that smelled like him. "I mean, it's... it's really pretty awful but I've still got you. I thought you might not want to know me anymore when I told you.... Not thought, I was scared you might not. I guess I'm good at imagining the worst that can happen. Heh. And yeah, Abel is definitely not a threat; straight as a... thing that's straight, I'm too tired to think of words properly."
