Shiva's head was hung over the side of the ship in a most disgraceful matter of a well traveled Polaris knight. She prided herself on her core strength of steel and determination.
And yet, whenever they reached the planets with water, the woman couldn't stand how the boat swayed and rocked on waves. A glorious shade of pale green covered the dark tan of her skin.
"Captain Sedna." Shiva looked over at the captain, who stood gloriously unaffected by the waves, with her arms crossed behind her back. "Is there a way to turn the ship so we aren't riding on the waves......"

Secretly, Sedna was rather enjoying seeing the Polaris knight rather out of her element. She made a masterful show of concealing said amusement, and also made it a point to never be looking at her directly. Just out of the corner of her eye, and fighting the urge to twitch her lips up. Sedna inclined her head in the knight's direction when she addressed her, but kept her eyes ahead on the port. "I always travel the most efficient way on the waters, Beringia." Which was the long way of saying no. "Worry not. We'll be docking soon." Not soon enough, she was sure, for Shiva. It was a routine trip. A delivery in exchange for some goods, and they wouldn't be here long. Just overnight, while the ship was loaded, and then they'd be setting back out the next day.

"Yeah I get that, It'd be nice to travel the less sickening way." The woman just sadly hung the rest of her body over to waste away. She could see land though, on this planet that almost seemed too much water and her body clenched in a wonderful anxiety.
Land.
Land.
LANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNND.
"God ******** bless Princess Polaris." The knight stood straighter now and managed to reclaim some small amount of dignity, coming to stand not to close to the captain, but near enough.
She could see as she came closer some sort of gleam in the woman's eyes and she flattened her face into a stoic response.
"You enjoy my suffering, do you Captain?"

"Noted." She replied lightly. Did she really note it though? No. She didn't. "I'm afraid to inform you, Beringia, that you wouldn't take kindly to the planet Sedna at all." Her lips quirked up briefly. "Even the land there bobs." Sedna inclined her head towards the mariner at the helm, murmuring instructions to him before he nodded in reply and called out to the fellow crew to prepare for docking. The woman's head tilted the other way once more to regard the knight who managed to pull herself together enough to see them dock. "Wherever do you get that notion?" Her expression had easily slipped back into it's controlled and neutral look. A brow quirked as she waited, and all around them, the crew was suddenly moving in a loud flurry as they prepared to dock.

Beringia made a face. "Well, I will just have to survive that. It must be better then the choppy waves of this death trap." They were so close, and she folded her arms behind her.
"I can tell." She looked back at the woman, from the corner of her eye. "We have been companions for awhile now, Captain, do not take lightly my power of observations."
She waited.
"Plus, I'd be amused to see you out of your element as well." Brutal honesty.

Or she'd end up withering away because nausea got the best of her. Stern was of that opinion. "Companions, hm?" She echoed. "My, that is quite the warm endearment from business partners. Ah, Beringia, I have never taken anything of you lightly." At the brutally honest comment, Sedna would help but lightly smirk. "It's amusement you won't indulge in." She paused for a moment. "I'm never out of my element." It was a statement she felt rather confident making, and briefly she turned her attention to briefly over see how the docking procedures were going. "Once we're docked and the paperwork is settled, will you be lodging in the city this evening?" From their past time together, Shiva would know that no matter where Stern went, she always stayed the night on her ship, in her Captain's quarters. Always.

Withering away was not in Beringia's plan but well, she also didn't plan on being sick on a rocky boat on the waves. It was sad because she came from a very mountainous range, and water like the sea was...rare and very scary. No matter how often she saw it out like this.
"Yeah don't look into it too deeply Captain." Beringia scowled, "that's what knights call each other. We've been out more then I have with my own squires." She huffed and then waited.
"If you're staying on your boat, then so am I." She asked this question every time but Stern knew. Beringia didn't leave the woman's side unless she had too.
"but goddamn it, I am at least spending some time on the land!" Get her land legs back or whatever!

"I'm not certain whether to be flattered or concerned." The senshi mused in regards to that Beringia went out with her more than her own knights. She supposed though, secretly, that she was flattered. Also awed and fascinated with this idea of chivalry and knighthood. She had come across knights prior to Beringia, yes, but she had never worked so closely with one before, especially since Sedna had no knights of her own... This idea of being protected... "If that pleases you." Sedna replied, but was pleased, deep down. "You can retain your guest cabin for the night, then." She smirked a bit at the land comment, and soon enough the action of docking took place. They docked with ease, of course, having done this a plethora of times, and paperwork and talking over the matters with the crew and officials of the port always went well. Sedna always had her stuff together. After their work was done, the crew had been given their leave for the evening, and all of them abandoned ship to go spend the night in the port as they saw fit. They were an excellent crew. They deserved it. With matters settled, and the ship blissfully quiet, Sedna had retired to her cabin for the evening. She was seated at her large orange wood desk, dressed down to her slacks, dress shirt and vest as she wrote in her log book, recording the day's events. Nearby, the chef had been so kind as she prepare dinner for her before leaving, but for now, she left it alone. As she wrote, she couldn't help but wonder if Beringia was enjoying her stretch on land, and the thought brought a small smile to her lips as she wrote.

"I'm concerned." She stared off, "I don't even know if they are upholding."
She made a B| face and then looked at Stern. "Yeah yeah, I will hang out in my cabin or whatever. I am sure I can find something to entertain myself." Like writing more commands and travels in her diary.
As they docked and unloaded, Beringia took a good amount of time looking around the new area before wandering back to the ship.
Her footsteps were to quiet as she touched back onto the wood and down the stairs into the quarters. "Hey." She came in, opening the door and crossed her arms. "What are you doing?"

She had heard the foot steps, but didn't look up as her door opened. Instead, she smirked, amused. "Beringia." She greeted, not skipping a beat with her writing. "Are we so close now that we're beyond knocking?" Stern inquired. "I could have been changing. That would have been indecent." Done teasing, for the moment---just for the moment---she replied: "Logging the day's events. Did you find your land legs?"

"Yes I did." She slapped her thighs in example. "Fantastic settings out there, and I managed to barter some of their more hardy plants to take home to the mountains. New crops will open new doors for my city."
She stepped in closer.
"I have never knocked, I don't see why it's a bother now." She rose a brow, "And if you were?" Changing she meant. Not that Stern was unattractive, because the woman was rightly so and Beringia loved and hated that she felt some sort of deep underlining of lust towards the captain.
Knights tended to not fair well with senshi lovers, she had heard. She came over to the woman's dinner and picked at it with a fork before popping a piece of meat in her mouth and crossing her arms.
"Why didn't you come abroad?"

The slap had garnered her attention again, and she glanced up, eyeing the other woman's thighs a bit longer than what was considered polite, before focusing back on her writing. "That is always good." She murmured, her head tilted as she listened, but still writing. "It would have been rude." Ah, another tease, and finally finished. Stern placed her quill back in it's holder and sat back against her chair. She eyed Shiva for a moment, making a small amused sound as the knight helped herself to her dinner, and reached up to pull off her glasses. She set them carefully on the desk, and then proceeded to rub the marks they left with her fingers, her eyes closing. She normally wouldn't be this relaxed, or even this informal around another, but something had occurred to her as of late. With the exception of her crew, Shiva was the next she had just so happened to spend a significant amount of time with, which allotted some closeness and an ease to not be so structured around her... And since she seemed to be making herself at home in her quarters for a time, Stern wasn't going to wait to indulge in her small satisfactions. She started to undo the tight braid holding her hair back next. "Because business has been concluded, and there's nothing that interests me in the city. I'm more at ease where the surface rocks, anyways." The braid and bun had come undone, and the woman started to comb her fingers through her loose hair, enjoying the free feeling. "Are you happy you're returning to Polaris soon?" She asked, glancing at the woman.

If her heart skipped a beat at the way Stern looked at her, Shiva didn't say a goddamn word about it. The captain always had a particular look about her, so she never could tell if she was like...looking at her or looking at her.
"To return goods to them yes." Shiva nibbled on another piece of food, though her stomach rumbled as the ship turned and rocked. She would get use to it, she would get use to it, she would get use to it.
"But I will not stay long. I have been...mm.. ordered to continue our expeditions. And even if you were to reject me, i shall be aboard your ship for a long while." Shiva raised a brow, "Then perhaps i can earn a pair of good sea legs..." Her gaze dropped to the hair that touched at shoulders now, and bit down into her food.
Clearly wondering why she had such a fascination with the woman.

Content with her hair, Stern moved on to undoing her cravat, pulling the broach off and un-knotting the fabric underneath. She was quiet, as she quietly marveled at this rather odd situation. Odd in that she honestly had never been around another who wasn't native to Sedna for this long, and would continue to be so. As she mused about it, she found that she was...somewhat fond, she supposed, of greeting the woman every day, and speaking to her, and the fact that it wouldn't come to a stop anytime soon... It was...pleasant. "Why would I reject you, hm?" She asked lightly, pulling the cravat from around her neck now and folding it neatly. She placed it on the side of her desk, and placed her broach on top of it. "It's a very beneficial arrangement between your city and Sedna, and as there are nothing but perks, I have no complaint." Among other things. She smirked briefly at the comment. "Well, if you're to be around for some time to come, then yes, you just might." Stern paused for a moment, reclining back in her chair and steepling her fingers. "You've been away from your city for quite some time though---more so than you have been from other expeditions you've told me of..." She tilted her head, a brow arching. "Is there no one back home who will miss you?"

The slow pull of the cravat came next, revealing the pale soft skin of white underneath and Shiva wondered if there was a sort of torture that she felt was being pushed on her. She had never been a oversexually active knight, but right now, she felt such a deep pull of attraction for the captain.
"Well that's good for us, doesn't that just make it fine and dandy." Shiva swallowed some of the bread before snorting, very unladylike. "I don't have family, I heard I might have some family on a place called Methone, but other than that, there isn't anything in Beringia besides my knighthood." She waited.
"I was engaged once, but that fell through and I'm more happy it did then anything else." Thinking of the old fat politician who had the nerve to demand her knighthood to be traded for house wife had been insulting and unacceptable. She had built the reputation later that she was not marriageable.
