T’kani frowned slightly as she finally walked into the nurse’ office, still mentally kicking herself for being so careless. She wrote her name down on the clipboard and signed a greeting to the nurse behind the desk, giving her a quick explanation of what had happened. Which was simply her being careless again. She’d been trying to hang by her tail from one of the trees in the quad, and slipped when she was trying to get down. The fur on her arms and tail and prevented any cuts to them, but her knees had been scuffed a bit and it was easier to stop here for bandaids than walk all the way back to her dorm.
Once she finished her description, she took a seat when the nurse gestured for her to do so, tail curling up over her lap while she kicked her legs slowly in rhythm with the clock. This would be quicker than a trip to the dorms, but it still frustrated her to miss out on class time.

Naosu was excited and trying not to show it, considering she wanted to make a good impression. It was her first day working co-op at the Academy, extra credit for her medicine major. It wasn't a busy day, but there was still much to do. Inventory, and cleaning things, socializing with the nurses and doctor. So much to do!
Now someone had come in. Nothing major apparently, so a good thing to start her on. She looked at the sheet she'd been handed. Lacerations on knees, student wants bandaids. Okay! Easy enough. Naosu stepped out into the front area to find the student, which was easily done with there only being one there currently and waved at them. "Come on in!" She said. "Naosu will get you cleaned up and on your way!" She pointed at herself so T'kani would be sure who she was referring to.

She looked up and smiled at the nurse, grabbing her bag with one hand and quickly signing a polite greeting with the other, walking over to where the fey was standing. She seemed nice enough, and cheerful compared to some of the other staff that worked here. Hello, Naosu!
Slinging the bag over her shoulders, she gave a brief explanation as she waited to be led onwards, glancing over the fey’s outfit for a moment. She didn’t recognize her, not that T’kani made it a habit to stop by this office anyway. Her tail curled up slowly behind her, getting a little anxious as the clock in her head ticked away, but now she was curious about the ‘new’ person... I fell and scraped my knees up; should not be too much trouble, I hope.
Ebonrune Though I'd assume Naosu is wearing work attire?

Oh dear, sign language. Not Naosu's strong suit, though she was trying to learn so she could speak to the deaf students. Still, she hadn't been standing in a way that made it easy to read her lips, so she assumed it wasn't deafness in this case.
She smiled. "Scraped your knees. Yes. Naosu will just give your wounds a quick clean so you don't get an infection, then she will send you off with some bandaids!" She smiled cheerfully and led her back to a room so she could get the antibacterial rubs, trying to keep an eye on T'kani so her rudimentary understanding of sign would be put to best use in case she needed to tell her something. "Had a fall? Naosu is sometimes very clumsy herself. Good thing she's learning to take care of injuries!"Gin Rin Ackkk. @_@ Yes, of course. She's wearing proper clothing to be working in a nurse's outfit, so not the fancy green dress.

T’kani smiled back and followed the nurse to the room, setting her bag down and taking a seat on the exam table. She was wearing a skirt that reached her knees, but had done nothing to protect them aside from attract some dirt and scuff marks. Waiting for Naosu to turn back to her, she cheerfully signed a reply, mouthing the words along with it now that they were in closer proximity. Yes, I was climbing out of a tree and slipped. I need to work on my coordination, apparently.
She tilted her head a bit at the last comment though, she was learning? Learning to take care of injuries? Are you new here?’
Ebonrune I keep forgetting the sign language includes lip reading. >.>;

Naosu watched T’kani's hands carefully, though lip reading helped her figure out what all was being said and she nodded after a few moments to think and make sure she'd understood correctly. "Yes. Naosu is learning to be a doctor and the Academy agreed to help her get extra credit."
She came over with the rubs and pulled over a chair so she could sit and take a look at the scrapes. "This will probably sting." She warned. "Naosu wants to make sure there's no dirt or other stuff to make an infection." She worked as gently as she could. "Naosu usually falls down when she lands after flying." She said and giggled, fluttering her wings. "Sometimes she comes in too fast and goes tumbling!"

T’kani leaned back slightly, shifting to give Naosu better access to her knees, holding off any responses until she had finished so as not to distract her. She winced slightly at the cleaning solution, but kept her legs still as best she could until the Fey was done.
Once her knees had been cleaned off, T’kani gave her a quick response, smiling as she mouthed the words along with it. That’s awesome! How long are you going to be working here for?
She didn’t say much even though she had so many other questions, not wanting to distract the doctor-to-be, especially when her method of communication relied mostly on visual cues. Either way, she still watched Naosu eagerly as she worked.

Naosu smiled and giggled. "Naosu will be here for a few months, getting extra credit." She perked suddenly and went to get the bandaids. When she came back she smiled sunnily. "Maybe you can help Naosu? She wants to learn sign language so she can better help and talk to all people. If you don't mind sometime, Naosu would be very grateful."
She applied the bandages with care and straightened up with a sheepish smile. "There! Good as new. Try to be more careful though, or you'll end up more bandaid than person!" She giggled again.Gin Rin Sorry this is so cruddy. I'm struggling with my muse, but I didn't want to keep you waiting for too long.

T’kani’s ears perked up as she listened to the Fey, smiling a bit when she came back with the bandages, holding her legs still while they were being applied. Once done she flexed her legs just a bit to make sure the bandaids wouldn’t bind up, then hopped off of the table once she was satisfied with Naosu’s work, signing to her as she tried to contain her excitement. You seem to understand me well enough, but I would love to help you out!
She picked up her bag from the floor, slinging it over her shoulders before she continued, slowing down her words just a bit now that she realized the Fey might have trouble with it. Can I stop by tomorrow during my free hour or lunch? Is there anything I could bring along to help?
Ebonrune No rush heart Sorry if mine have been delayed. @_@

"Naosu can understand better than she can sign well." She explained. "She would like to get better with doing the signs herself." She smiled happily knowing she would get help, though she managed to resist wiggling. There was only so much....her she thought it wise to show to a person she had just met, but she was sure excited!
She considered the question she had been asked and then smiled with a nod. "Naosu will be here tomorrow all day, lucky lucky. You can find her here. Things to bring to help? Uhm....Naosu doesn't know. T'kani should use their best judgement. Naosu will be student, and T'kani can teach her." She was practically aglow with happiness.

T’kani smiled and nodded, bouncing a little on her feet as well. The bandaids pulled at her skin though, so she decided that showing her excitement through expressions would work better for the moment. She signed back to Naosu, her face bright and cheery as she mouthed the words along with it. I can help you with that! It’s easier to learn with someone else anyway, pictures only explain so much. Less things to carry as well!
She fidgets a little, not sure if she should keep ‘talking’ due to her excitement or let the poor nurse get back to her job, not that it seemed very busy just yet. I’ll stop by tomorrow, okay?
Not waiting for a response, she closes the distance between them and envelopes the Fey in a hug, careful not to poke her with the horns curving from her head.

Naosu nodded happily and smiled. "Yay! Naosu looks forward to learning!" This was the best first day ever and she was certain that this could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship. They seemed to have a lot in common, just from personality alone.
She squeaked when she was hugged, but before T'kani could worry that she was offended, Naosu was hugging her back and giggling. "Best day ever." She said. "Naosu will see you tomorrow then. She looks forward to it lots and lots."

T’kani let out a soft contented sigh as the Fey returned the hug, overjoyed that she wasn’t put off by the gesture. She wouldn’t bat an eye at hugging a new Imp acquaintance, but not every race seemed to reciprocate their affectionate ways. Squeezing Naosu momentarily before stepping back from the embrace, she smiled and nodded happily at the confirmation of the plans to meet the next day.
“Thank you again!” She waved again and signed a farewell before heading out of the exam room, glancing up at the clock on her way out of the office. That hadn’t taken too long, and she had met an interesting person in the process, definitely worth the time she’d miss out by being late to her next class.
