The roguelands rolled out before the god as he made his way down from the Haven above. It was a choice that he made regularly to see what was afoot below! Gingerly, for such a large thing, he landed on the dusty plains and gave a great sneeze that betrayed his whereabouts immediately, should no one have seen him already. With a gentle paw he made a path for his constant companion, Njia, to slither down and touch her ground once more. Tras admired the snake a moment before gazing about.

"So dirty." The god boomed as the dust settled about him, dirtying his dark pelt in the process. A look of disgust betrayed his face and he was soon giving a quick shake, being mindful of the snake below. "What do you expect Tras? A cloud to carry you and keep you dust free?" The snake teased with a smirk that faded rapidly. She was not so great with flying, it was not her favorite part about choosing this god. But the choice had been made.

"Do you hunger?" The voice boomed again, this time it seemed a touch of emotion beyond disdain touched the tone. It was as close to caring as he could muster. It wasn't that he didn't care, it was that he didn't trust enough to care. Many things could happen if one opened up that form of trust, it wasn't something he would ever be prepared to do.

When the snake gave a brief nod he held his paw out again. "No flying big guy!" She pleaded with him, a simple nod was all he provided as she slithered to settle around his wrist, a normal thing for them. Once all was settled he began a slow process of wandering the roguelands in search of a meal.

Atileyin was finally old enough to strike out on her own. Well, technically! She still had some to grow and she could feel it in her bones sometimes. Her psuedo-mother, Saccha, would sooth her and her siblings when the pain became too much to take on her own.

In fact, Saccha was the reason she was out here now! Her Lioness-mother was brave, and gave her words of encouragement to explore a little. So here she was, out in the roguelands. It was different than the small pride of Seers she often resided in with her lioness-mother and half siblings.

So far though, she hadn't had any encounters. The little Goddess frowned at the thought. Perhaps she wasn't trying hard enough! She shifted, adjusting the pale blue cape on her shoulders before she wandered off.

It was then that she heard the sneeze!

She made her way towards the sound.

Bullocks. The lions thoughts were filled with mental alarms as his vibrant purple orbs caught glimpse of a brown figure donning a pale blue fabric. It wasn't traditional to see mortals in such wares, nor did they typically bear a horn of any kind, let alone a pair. These were trade marks of a goddess, not to mention the vibes. Njia squirmed to get a better view, it wasn't common for the God she bonded with to see others of his kind, she was over whelmed with joy to finally have someone to talk to beyond the black mass she had begun to call a 'friend'.

"Hello!" The snake bellowed, trying to get her teeny voice to carry as far as it could. That one peep warranted a big black paw to cover her and a violent shhh to follow. It wasn't as though he hadn't been seen, a large black mass, with an extraordinary mane and fluffy wings. Tras gave a deep sigh and simply stayed, unmoving, as he planned the situation out.

What was a God to do.

The young goddess made her way towards the sound of the sneeze and a voice. She was sure that the sneeze did not come from the being who spoke, and once she saw the pair, she grinned.

The only gods she knew so far, she was related to! So meeting others was always something she'd been interested in. She knew some gods sometimes stopped around Mimi'naona, looking after those who could See because of them, or their children. She hadn't met any of them though.

"Hello!" Atileyin practically chirped, cheerful.

What a random happenstance! She was so glad to have stumbled across them. "I heard a sneeze - are you alright?" She asked, a bit of concern in her voice.

While the goddess was out of ear shot the god grumbled ungratefully to the snake that had wormed her way from his grasp to greet the other. "Why hello! It's no nice to finally have someone else to speak with!" Njia was smiling, waving a tail and whole heartedly happy to see another. Tras didn't share the same impression, instead he tried a smile only for it to come off as awkward as it felt.

"Hello."

His voice was deep and carried, her concern was startling and he was baffled a moment before understanding. "I'm fine. Dust and debris, comes with the wings." The off hand comment could be taken almost as a joke from the large creature who clearly able to pronounce his sentences, but had some anti-social behaviors.

"Don't you have this problem?" It was to late, the words had left his mouth! Purple orbs lifted to her back to take note of the distinct lack of wings. He blushed beneath his dark pelt and physically took a paw away from the situation as though to back away. He was unsure of himself and wary of others to begin with, this wasn't quite what the god needed.

"I agree!" Atileyin said to the snake. "I'm glad you're okay, both of you." She said, easily, already relaxed in the strange god's presence. She found it wasy to be calm and collected in any situation, but she hadn't really been out and about enough to know for sure.

She frowned at the question about her wings however. She lifted up the cape, showing her bare back. "No wings here," She told him before shaking the cape back into place.

"My papa doesn't have wings either, but I have horns like he does," she tilted her head forward a bit to show them off. She wasn't shy or sad about her lack of wings. She laughed a little. "At least that's one good thing about having no wings," they seemed to be more trouble than they were worth.

"I walk most places anyhow," She told him. "It's easier to find friends that way."

Tras took a moment to collect himself and rest his paws back to the ground along with his rump. A puff of dust radiated around his plump behind, but settled a little more quickly.

"Well thank you, dear!" Njia was always so polite and gave her large black companion a tap from her tail is rebuttal to how rude he had been. She was disgruntled by his behavior, but none to surprised. "I have no wings either, only those with them seem to enjoy them. The ability to fly is quite over rated, in my opinion." The chatty cathy of a snake rambled on a little more before trying to coax her partner into the conversation with some terribly obvious eye signals.

"Friends?"

The word felt foreign on his tongue. Sure he had those he knew, like Njia, but a friend? His inability to trust broke that chance, or so he had been convinced. "So you just walk around the roguelands looking for individuals you hope to be friendly enough to get yourself acquainted with?" If Njia could cover her face without the chances of poking at an eye she would do so. Instead she let loose an awful sigh.

Atileyin giggled. She could sill fly, sure, and the cape gave a nice effect while she was flying. She wasn't quite as graceful as her parents yet, and she could only hoped she would get there eventually.

"Still, you have to admit wings are quite beautiful to look at," She told the little snake. Her siblings had these beautiful Butterfly wings like their mother that shimmered in the morning light and would often collect the morning dew.

She gave the other god a smile. "Yes, friends!" she said. "This is the furthest I've wandered so far. I live in a little pride with my other mama, Saccha and her kids."

She gave a small hum. "I haven't met anyone that hasn't been friendly though," She told the other. "My name is Atileyin, by the way!"

That giggle, had he not been concentrating on his thoughts and conundrums brought up by the goddess he would have perhaps giggled as well. Or at least given a tremendous laugh he called a giggle. Instead he stared a moment, he would have stayed just as still had Njia given him a thump when the goddess paid a compliment to wings.

"Yes. They're quite lovely and can be made very useful." He smiled, or tried to, it came across as awkward and he quickly stopped the action. As awkward as it looked had been as awkward for him to conjure it up! Once the emotion was wiped from his face he felt a little better and even let loose a contented sigh that had the snake grumping about again. Though Njia was actually quite thrilled as well, he had smiled. A small one, but for one to have existed at all! Surprise took her and silenced her.

"You live in a pride? Surrounded by mortals? You trust them?"

A look of what could be described as sheer horror crept up to his face and made the whites around his eyes grow. He was beyond shocked, shocked to the point he couldn't even get his name to pass his lips. Njia however always remembered these things and took the moment to introduce them both.

"My name is Njia, his flightless companion. The big oofs name is Tras Bothair, you may call him Tras." Once she finished speaking Tras seemed to gather himself together a little, but not entirely.

"Of course~" She said. "A lot of my siblings live in the pride, too, and they're mortals." She tilted her head a bit, confused by the reaction. She'd grown up around mortals, often being watched by her mortal siblings so she wouldn't get into any trouble.

"Many of the children in the pride are the children of Gods, or were blessed with the Sight when they were born," That had to mean something right? She hummed. She couldn't imagine living elsewhere besides her home, surrounded by mortals. Though she had gone to the God's Haven a few times, and that felt a bit like home too.

The gave another small giggle.

"Well, it's nice to meet you Tras and Njia," She told them, a bright smile on her face.
