Sweet calming scents hung in the air around the groove of lavenders. Every so often a gentle gust of wind would come to carry some of it away further into the woods, if only for a short while. It had become quite common now with Camp Gemini down below for demigods to stumble upon the violet pool. Nearly all attracted to it by the alluring scent, which Lavandula could understand. Flowers attracted insects for a reason, and when powerful enough demigods and even gods were no exception. This particular anthusai very rarely intended to draw folks in like a moth to a flame, it was just how she was. People came more out of curiosity for the source, or because they enjoyed nature. However, if she ever wished to trick people here she was quite capable of it. Things of beauty, be it visual or of the other senses, naturally called creatures to them, Lavandula's field merely did what nature was always meant to do. Unfortunately, mortals were greedy fickle beings. With age they grew to care little about the wonders of life, forgetting how beautiful the land could be if they only cared a bit more.
Lavandula lay among her special flowers, directly in the center of the field where rays of light between leaves above could fall upon her form. Her pearl white skin glistening slight contrast with the vibrant greens around her. However, with the color of her hair being close to those of the petals surrounding her, and her attire consisting of flowers for her top and a light violet long skirt, she tended to blend into the field. Lavandula rarely hid from any who came into her territory, they just usually never noticed her at first sight. The correct demigod was of no exception. She heard him coming quite a ways before he arrived. Eyes closed she said nothing at his entrance. In calm silence she just waited patiently for his reaction. Would he find it suspicious or like nearly all others merely enjoy it for a while before leaving? She didn't intend to hide herself from the camp dwellers, the nymph simply didn't wish to have to deal with hormonal hero complex teenagers. The females often watched her kind with suspicious, jealousy or admiration and awe. Males, depending on the types flirted. Such scenarios were found to be tiring and annoying by this anthusai, for all she wished was to be left in peace. A peace with Grover's action was now ruined.
Lavandula could have left when the Roman and Greek camps joined not far from her home, yet, this was her home and she wasn't going to get up and leave that easily. Despite her "dislike" for interactions she understood the advantages staying near them would bring, one of which was safety.
To her slight displeasure it became clear her current visitor was the tense distrustful sort. He also must have been somewhat intelligent to have deduced someone was there, which meant he realized this wasn't a completely natural field of flowers. Why couldn't he have just accepted it like others and just enjoyed the view?
Silently she inhaled deeply, slightly irritated her silence was broken, that and she knew she was going to have to speak. If she didn't say anything there was a risk he would end up destroying the place out of suspicion.
"I was never hiding." Her voice was soft and void of any powerful emotions. Calm despite not wishing to speak. The anthusai didn't move an inch in her location. She wasn't going to move just because he hadn't seen her. He dare make demands in her domain? Surely he might pick up on the meaning in between her words "are you blind" yet she cared not. She had nothing to hide. Why would she?
