  Rosalyn and Rosario
Rosalyn had big plans for the day. She and her son, Rosario, were going to be hosting a garden party for any of the visitors that might come by that day. Of course, the garden party very likely would end up as a party for two, if no one else showed up, but at the very least it would be a chance for mother and son to spend time together--especially since Rosario had recently been talking about traveling with his father away from Rosalyn's cozy garden grove. Given this circumstance, she wanted to spend as much time with her son as possible before his departure. Who knew when she would see him again, after all.
"Rosario," She called to her colt, who was coming dangerously close to trampling on some of the wild violets. "I know you're excited, my dear, but do try to keep your hooves off the flowers. It would be quite a shame if our garden party became a trampled garden party, don't you think?"
Rosario scampered back in surprise, looking at where his hooves were previously and then turning to look at his mother.
"Sorry, Mama." He replied, only to start wiggling happily. "I'm just so excited! When do you think the visitors will come? Are they coming now? What about now?"
Rosalyn chuckled at her colt's enthusiasm, but had to shake her head,
"I don't know, dearest, but as we are prepared for company in whatever form it takes," She gazed at the pool of rose water, to the rose bushes she grew in varying hues, to the smaller wild flowers scattered around the clearing of her grove, "I'm sure it won't be too long until they arrive." When Rosario gave her a look of disappointment and poutiness, she laughed again. "Alright, alright. If you would like, you may wait on the outside of the garden and see if anyone would like to come in for our party. Do be care-" He was out of sight before she could stop him and was left smiling. In a few moments, she would come to fetch him back again, in case he came upon a visitor that did not want to come to the party. She would hardly force people to come by, but she wouldn't put it past her son to try to.

 Things hadn't been going the way he had hoped they'd of gone. It had been such a long time since he had left home in search for his sister and slowly but surely as time went on he was getting more and more disheartened. With a heavy sigh he opened his eyes and rubbed the side of his face against his legs. Lifting his head he let out a small yawn and looked around, Kiviuq must have already left to go find himself something to eat. With a small smirk he shook his head, it was about right though usually he was too lazy and wanted him to find himself something to eat. Which was understandable. It was easier for him to get the condor things and he shook himself as he stood up and stretched, another small yawn parting his mouth.
With another sigh he figured he could just venture around today and not really focus on what he was doing, at least for the day. Taking a look around the cave in which he had settled himself for the past few days he wondered if he'd come back here after going out today and he figured he'd decide later on after the day progressed.
Taking leave he flew down towards a nearby lake he had seen and took the opportunity to get a drink and dunk his face in the cool waters to help wake him up a bit. It wasn't exactly early but it was still morning and he wanted a little pick me up. The water helped to do that. With renewed energy he took another sip and then looked around to get a decent grasp of his surroundings. While he had been in the area for a couple days he still wasn't completely familiar with all of the territory and knew that he probably wouldn't ever be. He wasn't planning on staying too long.
Deciding to walk towards the west he moved along at a steady walk, taking in the sights around him. The scenery was nice and it was a pleasure to admire the nature around him. As he walked his ears twitched as he picked up the sounds of voices. It sounded like a mare and a stallion and he paused, his ears and eyes searching for any sight of where they were. Not seeing anyone he started walking in the direction he had heard the voices coming from.
As he walked it wasn't long before he came face to face with a young stallion appearing from a nice looking garden. “Good morning.” He said with a small smile to the male, hoping he wasn't intruding. “My name is Astraeus, I'm not interrupting you or anything am I?” He asked him hoping he wasn't.

As excited as Rosario was, he was also nervous. There were not many Soquili that came by his mother's garden. What if not a single Soquili appeared? He wanted this to be a large affair, for Rosario loved the company of others-it was one of the reasons he was off to travel with his father, to meet and help new Soquili and their familiars. Besides, he was the sibling that had inherited his father's ability to heal, whereas his sister took after their mother, though they hadn't seen her for a while, either. No one really knew what happened to her... Rosario shook himself and perked his years at the sound of someone approaching. A visitor? A party guest perhaps? Oh, this would be the best garden party there ever was! He was so excited that he started jumping and kicking excitedly, only to have a grand stallion suddenly standing in front of him! Embarrassed to be caught in the act, he looked sheepishly at the stallion, but when the other began to speak, he grinned and shook his head. "Nu-uh. Momma and I are just waiting for party guests to arrive. We don't know who they are yet." He perked his ears towards the stranger. "Are you one of them Mr. Astrae-Astr- Mr. Astra?" Without waiting for a reply, Rosario whirled around and called. "Mommaaaaaaaaaa! There's a party guest here!" Glancing back at Astra, the foal gave him a wide grin. "Oh, and by the way, I'm Rosario!"--- Even from her place in the garden, Rosalyn could hear Rosario's loud chatter carried to her on a gentle breeze. When he outright cried out for her though, she hurried out from her garden and found a large, pale stallion with a feathered mane and striking blue eyes standing beside her foal. She observed his horn and the feathers with interest, having never seen a Soquili like him before. She smiled graciously and dipped her head. "Good morning, Sir. My name is Rosalyn. I hope my foal hasn't scared you off too much, but he means well. As I'm sure he's told you at this point, Rosario and I are hosting a garden party. We're happy to have anyone who wants to join us as a guest." She inclined her head towards the garden. "Would you care to join us?"

As he stood there he watched the young male and he couldn't help but smile as his nervousness was horribly apparent. He didn't laugh though, laughing would be rude he felt. Even if he found it humorous the foal was nervous. "Well, perhaps I can be one of the party guests, though I wasn't exactly invited." He said with a warm smile and a small flick of his feathered tail behind him. "And You can call me Astra." He said when he listened to the young one try to pronounce his name. He supposed for someone not familiar with it, it would be fairly difficult to pronounce. "It's nice to meet you Rosario." He said warmly to the foal. His gaze turned when the mother of the young male produced herself from the garden and he gave her a small bow of his head and gave her a board grin.
"Absolutely not. He's quite darling." He said to her and gave the young lad a small wink. "It's nice to make your acquaintance Rosalyn, I'm Astraeus." He introduced himself to her and he was more than willing to join in on their garden party if they were willing to invite him. "I would be honored." He said warmly. “I wish I had something to give as a party gift.” He admitted to her as he walked into the garden and took a look around.
“Is this your home?” He was curious now. It was quite a lovely place indeed and he could see why she would want to hold a little get together here. The scents of all the flowers wasn't overwhelming like you would have initially thought and it was nice to look upon, if you weren't looking at the current occupants. “It's a very nice place.” He said to her and then looked around for her son. “Is there other parties of your family joining as well?” He hadn't seen a male figure around and didn't want to out right ask where the dad was. He knew sometimes things didn't work out as you would have hoped so he figured asking it in that way was a bit, nicer and less abrupt.
The thought of family made him think of his sister. He would find her one day, he knew that much. He just hoped it was sooner than later. He didn't want to be gray in the feathers when he finally located her, that would just not be a good day for him. What if she was dead? He didn't want to think of it, shaking his head he cleared his thoughts of all those things and returned his focus to the family before him. “Have you been in the area long? Sorry to ask all the questions.” Perhaps they had seen her.
