Not wanting to sit in the apartment by herself with Isaiah out, Gwen had chosen to hit the town. Bedecked in a sapphire blue drape neck top with a low cut back, short black skirt, tall, thigh high heeled and a menagerie of jewelry that included bracelets, rings and her usual green pendant, Gwen found herself in one of the local clubs. It wasn't anything like the one Isaiah had taken her to which had been gothic in design and theme. This one was very much similar to the clubs she was use to hitting up in New York. People donned typical club gear (revealing for the women and a mix of revealing and not for the men) and the music tended towards techno and dubstep. The atmosphere would work for her. She'd get to expend some energy and enjoy the evening. So she carefully weaved her way through the crowds. Thankfully, with it being a weeknight it wasn't wall to wall packed. There was enough space to dance without grinding up on top of everyone around you. Still, Gwen decided to hit up the bar. As she sat down, ordering a rum and coke, she noted a large cluster of people on the far side of the room. Brows furrowed as she tried to see what was going on but the mass of bodies made it nigh impossible. Whatever or whoever it was must be important. Still, Gwen wasn't interested enough to push her way through that specific crowd. The bartender, a rather young looking girl whom Gwen wondered was old enough to even work here, placed the ordered rum and coke on the bar. Grabbing the drink, Gwen gave it a little stir before sipping it. I won't be having many of these tonight if they stay this strong. Leaning against the bar, she scanned the rest of the room to see if there was any chance she recognized anyone. It was doubtful, but it gave her something to do while she idly sipped at her drink. nuxaz LMK if you need me to change anything. Please forgiv the horrible name for the RP. Brain just....didn't work.

Jade liked clubs, she liked them even more when the marketing company she'd signed with did promo events and offered to run a tab for her. Today's event had been small with her just talking about witty things, crushing the patriarchy, the usual. This was one of the few events that Levi hadn't attended with her, to her disappointment, because she liked making her grumpy manager get up an dance with her, and so she was very much flying solo.
She had slipped away from a group of girls who'd recognized her from her YouTube channel Ally Argent and made her way to the bar, opting for a cranberry vodka because it was classic.
A lovely woman with beautiful ginger locks caught her eye and Jade slid over, drink in hand, and lightly bumped elbows. "You're looking a little lonely," she commented, voice light and possibly even flirty.

It was the nudge to her elbow that pulled Gwen from her absent minded survey of the club. At first she thought she had been accidentally nudged but turning her head to find the other woman looking at her proved otherwise. "That happens when you come to a club by yourself." She responded, offering the woman a smile. Lifting her drink to her lips, Gwen took a sip and just barely kept herself from wincing at the especially strong rum flavor. Its burn wasn't unpleasant but there was a reason she had asked for a mixer with it. Otherwise, if she wanted to get drunk fast, she would have ordered a few shots. Keeping her grimace at bay, she studied the woman for a moment before her brows furrowed. "Hm, I feel like I know you from somewhere..." She couldn't quite put her finger on it though. "I am almost positive I've not met you before."

"Depends on the why behind coming alone," Jade quipped, looking amused as she lifted her glass to her lips and sipped at her vodka. "I'm hoping," she said slowly, painted lips twisting in a grin as she looked at Gwen, "that you won't be opposed to company then."
She was a social creature, enjoyed meeting and mixing with new people.
The redhead looked like a perfect candidate. Especially when she looked at Jade quizzically, clearly trying to place her face. "Maybe I've just got that kind of face, where I look familiar but you don't really know me." There was a split second of contemplation before she tipped the remains of her drink back and swallowed, a slight happy hiss escaping her as the vodka hit the back of her throat.
"Jade Argent," she introduced, setting the now empty glass against the bar with a clack and offering her hand to the other woman. "You probably think you've seen me before because my face is all over YouTube."kolina I suck and I'm so sorry this took so long ;;

"Company would be nice since I am not expecting anyone." Gwen offered the other woman a smile before lifting her own drink to her lips to sip at. The strong, rum flavored drink went down smoothly and Gwen made a mental note to tip the bartender fairly well for the concoction. Eyebrows lifted as she was offered a name. She lowered her glass to the bar and took Jade's hand. "Well, that certainly explains why you looked so familiar." She chuckled. "I am assuming that crowd of people were here for you then? Managed to slink away from them all?" She chuckled. "I am Gweneth Malley, but feel free to call me Gwen." Retracting her hand after the shake, Gwen shook her head with a wry smile. "I can't say I was expecting to run into a youtube star here. It's a pleasure to meet you, though!" Noting that the woman's drink was empty Gwen glanced down the bar to get the bartender attention. She was busy dealing with a few other patrons but she nodded her head at Gwen to indicate she saw her. "Let me get you a refill on that." She said indicating the glass. "So, were you filming something here tonight? Just enjoying the atmosphere of the club? A little of both?" She questioned.

Jade took a moment, after Gwen accepted her offer for company, to take in the woman's features and general appearance. She was attractive with her orange-red hair, freckles dusting her cheeks and her pale blue eyes. She seemed warm and welcoming enough, which Jade always enjoyed but she couldn't quite tell if she was friendly or if she was flirty and felt like maybe, she ought to test the waters.
The youtuber wasn't looking to hit on anyone, but she did enjoy flirting for the most part. Besides, she had this sort of thing with her manager so trying to hook up with someone else was probably a no-go. But, she'd always been the type of woman who liked a friend she could playfully flirt or banter with. So, Jade decided to take her chances.
"Pleasure Gwen," Jade quipped, warm smile on her mouth as she shook the woman's hand. "It's definitely weird. It's like people know you but they don't and it's sorta surreal that these people spend hours watching you do things in a video." She shrugged, glancing at her mostly empty glass. "Thanks," she grinned a little wider at the offer.
Jade had been intending to offer Gwen a drink on her, but maybe that would come later. "Definitely both. It's some promo thing they've got me doing. It's pretty cool? And I get to meet cool people. So, Gwen, how long have you lived in DC?"
