The early light of dawn began to shine into the windows of the barracks. Corporal Matthew slowly got up pulling the sheets from him. Another bed above him as another pair of feet swung down in front of him as the person above him jumped down and landed next to him.
"Jeez... morning already" he complained.
Matthew got up and tidied his bed. Dressed in uniform and then stood at attention in front of his bunk. Soon the others had also lined up as the Lieutenant Officer walked in. He was someone of authority but no one was really loyal to him as such. Once the bunk inspection was cleared it was time for training. The training camp was just outside of the Main City Bebilithe. Even from their distance they could just make out the Aristocrat high rise in the city's center. The sky soon darkened as an Air Ship flew overheard. It was heavily armored and held a flag on it. Matthew's eyes widened as it carried the Sigil of the Sky Reaper. Making it the Flag Ship of Commander General Danika Xel'Dagan. The ship set down on a ramp as we all stood in large scale groups. Rumors had been circulating about a recent attack at Frostgate that had been successfully defended. As we watched the General descend from the ramp she was accompanied by several members of the New Special Unit. Their uniforms were well kept and showed their authority. Her hair seemed very nice and smooth, her eyes carried malice with them though. She appeared very intimidating.
She moved to the front of all the training recruits as spoke with a loud authoritative voice, "I lost 10 good men in my last battle. I need them replaced" she stated as she then proceeded to look around at each of the soldiers standing in front of her.
As intimidating as it was for her to be standing far away it was much worse when she got close. Several of the new trainee's looked like they would piss themselves in front of her. As she stood in front of me she stared deeply into my eyes. I could feel myself starting to sweat as she stared. My heart was shaking feverishly.
"This one" she stated as she then put her hand on my shoulder and instructed me to stand at the front of the group. I did as I was told as I stood up next to the Special forces Members. Soon 10 were selected and we were instantly brought on board the Air Ship. Each of us stood in the center of the ship as she spoke.
"You are now my men. You will live and die for me. That is all" she said as she finished her speech and retreated to her quarters. One of the crew members began to show me around the ship. It was large filled with sleeping quarters at the very bottom along with the engine room at the back. A fair sized dining haul and storage's in the middle floor. The top floor was where the cannons were. The cannons were mounted in a way to give them more maneuverability without the ability to actually target the ship itself. The top level of the ship was wear some of the heavier equipment was kept for deploying Mech Units off the side of the ship. There was also a few rope ladders for reaching the very top of the balloon. On the top there were several more cannons and several guards. The ships balloon was it's lifeline and without it they would fall. The ship's size was extremely large and well kept. It was easily five times length and size of any Dragon.
