Touring was great, but it was also terribly exhausting. 777 sighed in relief as he made his way to a coffee shop, collapsing into a chair almost bonelessly. He enjoyed making music and putting on shows for his fans. He enjoyed hanging out with the guys and the road trips. Some of the food joints and sights they saw on their routes were pretty amazing. A few months of it, however was a huge physical and emotional drain. It he was actually alive, he might say that he was working himself to death. Since that luckily wasn’t an option, he just had to deal with the exhaustion instead. Apparently the slow rise to fame wasn’t all kittens and rainbows.
The reaper rubbed his eyes under the dark glasses he had donned. His normally spiked hair was left unstyled and covered by a ball cap. As much as he liked his fans and his growing fan base, it would be nice to not be recognized by someone who was a stranger to him for just a little bit. With a long drawn out stretch, he pulled himself out of the chair and made his way to the line. Coffee would really hit the spot just about now. The cashier took his order- the biggest damn espresso they could provide with as many shots of the wonderfully caffeine packed substance as they could fit in it- and he headed back to the chair he had taken previously.
As he slowly nursed the large cup, he watched the other people come and go from the shop. People watching wasn’t something he found himself doing often, but the change up was nice. Maybe it was just to be on the other end of it. To watch other people instead of the on being watched. He shrugged. Whatever, something like that. kivras Sorry this took so long, I meant to put this up last night :V

"J-just a white mocha, please." Finally, a place that wasn't hurting her ears. While being dragged to parties by her brother was great and all, it was doing nothing for her already-low self confidence. Mai was already starting to wear more and more clothing, covering every inch of her skin, and seeing the outfits some of the women at the clubs wore...and, well, what her brother wore. He could pull off a bra better than she could sometimes. Nevertheless, as she got her drink, she sunk down in her chair, letting out a happy little sigh. Remaining colorful with her wardrobe choices, combined with her rather brightly-colored hair, she gained a few looks. A few stare. Some whispers from mothers to their children about...well, she could only guess. And it wasn't pleasant. Ignoring the stares and whispers, setting down her cup, she pulled out a box filled with beads, stones, clasps, string and heavens knew what else. The small table beside her seat held it, as she looked around for inspiration. Several bracelets and necklaces were already stashed in the box, each of them unique and clearly lovingly-crafted. When she spotted her inspiration, a guy who looked...tired, she managed to work up the courage to stand up, grab her coffee, and walk over with a small box of what looked like rather expensive precious gems, all separated by color, in almost every color you could imagine gems being. "E-excuse me..." She began with a small smile. "I h-hope I'm not disturbing you, b-but, um...What's your favorite color...?" She held up the box for him to hopefully understand why she was asking. 777 sipped at his coffee and inhaled the steam, enjoying the warmth and aroma. Coffee was obviously a divine gift to the world. There was few things in life or death that were better.
He hummed softly to himself, nearly taken unaware as the brightly colored vixen approached his table. He watched her from behind the dark glasses, not giving away the slight surprise of suddenly being addressed. She didn't seem to be one of his fans. As much as he appreciated having them, having a moment without people clambering for his attention was nice too. This girl didn't look like she want to any of his type of concerts.
Having someone come up to him- without recognizing him- with the sole purpose of talking to him... That was, well, kind of cute. And she seemed pretty sweet. He flashed her a smile, not nearly as radiant as his usual rock-star one but more sincere. "You're not disturbing me at all. All I'm doing is trying not to fall asleep right now." He replied, his smile turning into a bit of a grin. "I don't think the establishment would appreciate me snoring at their table."
"Colors, huh, I like pretty much all of them," He stated as he looked over the box of gemstones she held. "But I'm partial to red and those silvery-colored ones looks pretty cool."

A nod later and Mai was back to fishing around in the beads, specifically the ones he mentioned, coming up with a few that looked...well, to put it bluntly, deformed. All of the beads in her box seemed to be 'off' in some way; Too large, lumpy, cracked, uneven holes, so on and so forth. Still, she handled them carefully, as if every one was masterfully crafted. Selecting what seemed to be proper ones to her, she rested them on the table as she looked for even more beads. Making herself at home on the table, in a way. "Well, coffee is a good way to keep from falling asleep." Flashing him a shy little smile, she finished picking some more beads; Black and white, along with more smaller red beads. Red seemed to be the minority color. "And the barista's...usually okay with me passing out here." A small chuckle and she was already almost done threading the beads on a soft piece of leather. "M-my name's Mai Tai." Might as well introduce herself, right? "Do you...Normally c-come here? I mean, I know most of the regulars, but this is the first time I've seen you around here." Obnoxious Obscurity god i took forever but -squishes face-

The reaper leaned forwards in his seat, propping himself up against the table. He watched the rainbow-clad vixen sort through her beads. It was an interesting sight to see, and he wondered if he got that passionate look when he was coming up with new songs with the band. She seemed to have the same care for perfection.
"Yeah, coffee is my refuge right now. I probably wouldn't be able to hold my eyes open without it right now." He smiled as he lifted the cup to his lips, taking a long sip of the hot liquid ambrosia. He would have found any coffee good at this point, but this particular cup was pretty amazing. "I'll have to keep that in mind. Most places aren't too happy about people falling asleep in the establishment." He chuckled softly and shook his head.
"Mai Tai. Cute name. Suits you." He flashed her a bright smile- though he was unable to muster up the glamorous rock star smile he used at his shows. "I'm 777. I don't normally come here, no. Though I might have to change that when I'm in town. The coffee is pretty great."
