Keelia
Keelia was getting tired. She was happy she had made a friend, but the pride she belonged to wasn’t for her. She traveled far and long until she reached the winter wonderland. This place reminded of her home in the dessert, except this place had blizzards and her home had sand storms. The harsh, cold climate felt nice to her and she was surprised she wasn’t freezing to death. She vaguely remembered a story about a pride of lions that lived out here. She wondered if she would be able to join the pride and possibly raise a family here. “It really is beautiful here. I wonder what’s out here. Should be a grand adventure.”

Urza was fluffier than he had ever been, the snow fell lightly around himas he moved carefully with his two companions. He was never by himself, though he had learned to accepted it and figured he'd not like being alone anymore. He smiled as he watched Sukoya and Kolrel throw snow at each other and laugh. They were young hares and still enjoyed a bit of play. Urza was become a very old lion, even if he didn't quite look it. In the distance, he noticed the lioness wondering about. She wasn't anyone that Urza had recognized, so he decided to move towards her. "We got company" He told the two hares, who instantly stopped playing about his feet. When they needed to, they were professional. "Hello, there Miss." He said as they got closer to the lioness. Sukoya hopped to Urza's back in hopes to get a better look on the lioness, though it wasn't like he couldn't see from the ground. He just thought he could see better from above. He looked at the lioness then at his twin sister. She had brown on her ears, and her foot marking was on the opposite side so it was easy to figure out which was which. "She looks friendly," he announced. Probably a bit too loud, but no matter.Kolrel hid behind Urza's leg, some protection she was. She was a bit shy with new lions, always afraid they might eat her. She was still a bit skeptical about lions until they joined the pride. The pride had strict rules about hurting hares. It was what made her feel better being around them. "Hello" She whispered from behind his leg, not sure if she was heard or not. If her brother said she looked nice, that was good enough, right? No... She'd wait until Urza okay'd it.

Keelia wasn’t expecting someone to come up behind her. She jumped a little and turned around. There behind her was a rather shaggy looking lion, but that could be from the weather, and two hares with him. When the one that had jumped on the lion said she looked friendly, she didn’t know if she should be insulted or glad. She just smiles a little. “Well hello to you too.” She then glances at the lion. “Hello. I hope I’m not intruding. I was just admiring the scenery.” She smiles sheepishly as she turns her gaze back over to the land. It really was a complete opposite of her homeland. “It’s really lovely here.”

Urza smiled kindly. "These lands are open to those who need salvation of some sort." He nodded. If she was able to find her way this far into the land without getting lost in the snow, then she was suppose to be here. "These lands are protected," He explained "If you've come this far, you're right where you need to be" He did hope she'd end up staying, but he would not force it upon anyone. Some lions just needed a place to stay to pass time before moving on. "I'm Urza" he said with a small incline of his head. Just because he was the ruler of the pride, didn't mean he thought himself better than anyone else. Sukoya, on the other hand, Thought he was something to be worshiped. "This is the Yeti King." He said puffing out his chest to the other. He ended up moving from Urza's back to the top of his head. He wasn't trying to be rude, he was just trying to make sure everyone knew who the lion was. It was an important thing! Though he ended up falling back down the back of Urza's mane when the lion shook his head.Kolrel giggled but stayed hidden for the most part. She was still slightly skeptical, but it seemed like the lioness was okay. Urza welcomed her with no issues and he was a good judge of character. She did know the stories about the land, it being protected and those who needed salvation would find it there. But that didn't mean someone could find them that wasn't really nice. It was just a matter of time. Even gods could be tricked, she was sure.

“Salvation?” Keelia asked, clearly confused by his use of the word. “I was just thinking that it was about time that I settled down. Maybe have a family of my own. Is that a form of Salvation?” She smiled a little as the lion introduced himself. “I’m Keelia. It’s nice to meet you.” She was just about to stand up when the hare announced the lion was the “Yeti King.” She didn’t really understand what a Yeti King was, but she had a thought that he might be the leader of the pride. “Is that so? It’s not everyday someone meets a king…” She glanced at the other hare still hiding behind Urza’s leg. Keelia wondered about the hares, but didn’t ask questions. “I won’t hurt you. You don’t have to hide.”

He gave her a kind smile. "it meas these lands are protected, and those who are in need of safety of any kind are the only ones who can find us." He explained the best he could. He had not met a lion that didn't understand his words, perhaps she had a different first language. That interested him, but he didn't want to pry and make her think he was rude. "Whatever you feel is your need for salvation, is the correct form of it." he said with a smile. "We're accepting of all, though only lions and hares may stay forever." They did let other mammals stay for a short time and then they must be on their way. "Here, I am no different that you." He said to her with a chuckle. Sure, he had more responsibilities, but he didn't want to make lions feel uncomfortable or uneasy around him. "I am just the face of the pride, and I try to make sure I know a little bit about everyone". He wouldn't be a good king if he didn't know his people, after all. Sukoya laughed at her attempts to try to get Kolrel out. "Don't bother." he said as he finally hopped down from the lions back after failed attempts to stay on his head. "She doesn't like new lions." Or hares for that matter, but that wasn't important at the moment. "She's a little shy, rather." he corrected himself. It wasn't that she didn't like them, it was just something she had to warm up to. "That's Kolrel, and I'm Sukoya" Since Urza didn't introduce them, he would for him.
Though, he generally introduced them all anyways, Sukoya was the one with the mouth. Not that he seemed to notice, he just blabbed, and blabbed until someone would shush him. "We're twins!" he said with a grin. Not that it wasn't obvious of course.Kolrel stayed quiet, but poked her head out more from behind Urza's leg. It wasn't that she didn't want to come out and start talking, Something was stopping her. She didn't have the courage she needed. One day she would, one day it would be different. She wondered if that was why Sukoya was so talkative since she wasn't? Well, that wasn't true. When it was just the three of them, she was just as noisy as Sukoya. It was a wonder Urza was able to think and get anything done with the two of them around.

Keelia listened closely to what the lion was saying. She had heard of the snow lions and that finding them wasn’t easy. Not that she was looking for them. She had been chased away by so many different lions, she had almost given up hope. “I’ve traveled a long way. It’s odd. I’m normally not so…comfortable… around male lions. Most seemed to just chase me away. Maybe you’re right. Maybe I am supposed to be here.” She looked at the hares and listened to the one called Sukoya. It was rather cute watching the twin hares. “There’s nothing wrong with being shy. I myself had hid from lions I didn’t know as well.” She then looked at Urza. She was tired and running for days on end wasn’t something she wanted to continue doing. “If you don’t mind, I would like to know more about your pride. I don’t have a home and this place is so peaceful. I hope you wouldn’t mind if I stayed here?”

"There is no rush in joining, if you'd like to take a look around the pride first." He suggested as he nodded towards the direction behind him. "You're more than welcome to stay." he said kindly. "You'll notice that lions, and hares alike, are kind and will not show you any disrespect" He was sad to hear that she had been mistreated in the past, however now she'll never have to deal with such things if she does chose to stay. "The caves are this way if you need to rest." He said to her noticing she looked a little exhausted, but didn't want to come forth and actually say it. It might come off more rude than he intends. Sukoya shrugged. He didn't know why anyone needed to be shy. There wasn't any fun hiding behind a lion when no one else was playing a game. Though he didn't say that back to the female. She seemed to have good reason to want to hide from lions, but Kolrel didn't. He looked to his sister and gave her a little nudge anyways to try to push her out from Urza's legs, though he was suggesting he was going to be moving anyways.Kolrel stuck her tongue out at Sukoya before hopping to the opposite side of Urza the lioness was not on. Today wasn't the day she was going to warm up to the lioness, but maybe one day. She gave a meek squeak before throwing a snow ball at her brother and looking the other way like she hadn't done anything of the sort.

Keelia nodded. “That would be highly appreciated, thank you.” She could live here. Sure, her coat wasn’t as thick and she was used to being in the dessert, but this was something new to her. She could picture herself living here and possibly having a family. “Oh, I just remembered I haven’t eaten either… Do you have hunting parties? What do you hunt so I know if I’m out here on my own, I don’t kill something I’m not supposed to kill? I can see Hares are out of the question, not that I would any way.”

He chuckled at the female. She seemed pretty friendly. Urza turned to show her the way. "Don't worry about that, we have hunting parties" He told her with a nod. "We hunt anything we can, except hares." That was the big no in the pride. Hares were useful and they had grown a bond with them. They helped the lions, and the lions promised not to eat them. it was a co-existence that made sense. Everything else was fair game. "If it's not a hare, it's open to be hunted." Within reason, but he was sure she knew that. They didn't hunt for sport. It was only what was needed and what the pride needed. "You won't have to worry about that though." Not yet anyways. "You need to gain your strength" He continued. He didn't want her to hunt til she was use to the weather. That was the biggest thing. First get accommodated, then do pride work. Assuming she planned to stay. Sukoya grinned, but held his tongue. He felt decently safe around the female. As Urza started to move, he hopped to the male's back and decided it was time to be lazy again. He didn't like to move too much, it was best to just hitch a ride. His sister didn't think so, though. She always tended to walk, especially when someone new was around. Hiding close to Urza. Silly Kolrel.Kolrel went on the opposite side of Urza, away from the lioness as they started to walk. She kept glancing over at her as if to make sure she wasn't going to do anything. While hares were sorts of watch dogs, they really were helpless in some situations. Lion fights were one of them. But she knew exactly who to get if something were to break out. Not that it seemed it would.
Even Kolrel had to admit that this female was harmless. She could sense it, in a way. Calmness that washed over all of them. Except herself, of course, she was always on high alert when new faces were around. Was it that she didn't trust them, or perhaps she just couldn't?

Keelia nodded as she listened to the male talk. This was a good place she found, even if it was cold. She never thought she could find a place that made her feel safe. "I'll keep that in mind. I never really liked the taste of Hare... and this region is covered in snow. I'll have to learn how to hunt here since I don't quite match up with the scenery." She glanced at the two hares that followed Urza. She could understand that the one didn't trust her. She wasn't much for trusting new people either. "Shall we get going? I'm sure there's still a lot of ground to cover."

Urza gave a smile, and no other words after that. Not that he really knew what to say. He wasn't much for socialization. At least, he didn't think he was. There were times when he couldn't avoid it, shouldn't avoid it, but most the time he kept to himself. He nodded to the other and started on their way. Soon they'd be where it was warmer, and to her surprise. It was cold out here, but one got use to it. Once she was here long enough, her fur will start to adapt to it. His did. "It's not too much farther." He told her with a smile. There was much about this land even Urza didn't understand, but he knew that they were being watched over and protected. Sukoya and Kolrel weren't far behind the male. Even though they generally stayed on Urza's back for the most part, today they both decided to hop along side the two. They weren't moving that fast, so it wasn't that hard to do. A little exercise could do them some good. (good stopping point)
