Terry sprawled out on his bed with a contented sigh, lifting his arms up over his head. Dinner had been good, as had the pear he had shared with Seung after words. He got a small smirk on his face when he remembered that dinner had him making sure the other had more and more food on his plate. Afterwards though it had been nice to see his parents and brothers reaction to the gifts, none of them having expected it and had thanked his boyfriend profusely. While he thought about all of this he looked over to Seung and his smirk turned into a smile. “Well that went well. Did you get enough to eat?” He asked the other.

He hadn’t put his contacts back in, something he normally would have done. He normally only took them out for showers and typically for bed, though he did forget at times. He hadn’t, of his own choice, put them back in after his shower. So it was over the top of his glasses that he peered at the other. “I did, dinner was good.” He said, complimenting the others parents who did indeed cook well. American food wasn’t so bad, at least not what he’d had thus far. It was different though - very different. He was used to noodles and rice a lot and soups.
“Glad family liked the gifts.” He had been very happy about that, as he’d worried over it a lot. His mother had seemed especially happy with her assortment of skincare products, all of which were all natural and used no chemicals. He had hoped she would like them, especially since some were used by himself as well or his cousin, sister, or his own mother.
“Family liked having me...seem to really like it when I’m here.” He said while shifting on the bed so he lay on his side, though almost on his belly. One arm went out and lay across the others stomach. “Should take your family out for dinner and drinks together.” It would be nice, and not something done where he was from, at least not until the couple were going to be engaged when the parents of both parties discussed things together. It was for the families to bond and such. Since a marriage was not just two people but two families.

Terry moved one of his arms down so he could lace his fingers with Seung’s as he nodded. “Glad you liked it. I’m pretty sure Mom plans on serving up different types of meals whenever you are over for dinner, so long as she has a heads up of course.” He said and idly started to stroke the other’s hand with his thumb. It was funny how quickly his parents had taken to the other, especially his Mom, but unsurprising at least to him.
“That they did, you managed to get them things they enjoy rather well.” His Dad had even said he planned on reading his book tonight, or at least get started reading it. “Well I can’t say about my brother since he’s only been around a few times when you were here but yes, my parents like having you here.” He said with a smile. “That would be nice, would make plans some time for that.” It wasn’t that usual here in America that a couple who were just dating would go out to eat with one or both of their potential in laws, it’s didn’t necessarily mean anything too deep like how Seung’s home country took it.

Laughing he nodded. “To try and have me try many new things.” He said, rather than phrasing it as a question. He figured that was why, as she knew he’d had very little American food and had little to go by, most of it being here or a holiday meal which wasn’t much to go by when deciding if you liked it or how much you liked American food.
“I’m glad. Worried about mother the most...American women would take insult to such thing...not like that back home.” Back home you pointed out the flaws in others so they knew and could correct them. You did it because you cared. If they had gained weight, or lost too much, if their nose was too big or their had some other thing wrong. It was why he had brushed it off, and continued talking, when his friends had asked him why he had not gotten his eyes done - yet. He had told them, as he had back years ago, that he liked his eyes the way they were. It was just them caring and wanting to help, of course he didn’t need the help there. It was why he hadn’t had an issue or care when his sister, who was only fourteen, had gone under the knife only a week or so ago. He’d text her, when he got home in the morning, and see how she was doing. She had still been sore when he’d left for Destiny city with his family.
“What sort of food? And place that has drinks too.” So they could bond properly - over food and drinks.

Terry made a humming sound in agreement to Seung’s comment. After all that was indeed what his Mom was doing. “I believe tomorrow she plans on making omelets for breakfast if I’m remembering correctly.” While not the most ‘American’ of breakfasts, and he was sure the other had had omelets before, his Mom tended to deviate on the recipe depending on the day.
“Mom knew you didn’t mean anything rude by it and she was thrilled at having the chance to try foreign products.” He said with a smile. “I would have let you know if there was anything wrong or if it was something to handle carefully earlier when I saw them otherwise.” He wouldn’t have let Seung step into a landmine situation without warning if he had thought there was the slightest of chances it would happen. As it was he knew his Mother and knew she wouldn’t take the gifts the wrong way.
He thought for a moment, though the ‘drinks’ part had him pausing briefly in remembrance to the video’s Seung had shared. “I know there is a good steakhouse close by and it has a few good drinks.” Mostly beer or fruity drinks he knew but the food itself was good and had plenty of the needed calories in most if not all of the dishes.

He had gotten night products as well, like he used on his own face just different brands. He had gotten masks, and all manner of things for Terry’s mother, he hoped she could figure out the order of things...it was 8 steps day time and less at night but still. It was a lot, he had ten steps in the day himself to get ready. But he looked good and had good skin so it was all ok for him.
“Ohhh, ok.” Nodding his head to the others description. “They will know how to cook steak? How done?” He asked wanting to make sure. He’d never gone to an American place, even back in Korea. He had not tried the Korean American restaurants, aside from Mc.Donalds as a kid and fried chicken but that was how they liked it...not the same as in America from what he’d heard and seen. “Vegetables are good..I like potatoes, especially baked sweet potatoes.” Ohh from the drums they used to bake them in on the streets - they were amazing.
“Good, would like to go soon - on me. Family dinner.”

Terry shifted so he was on his side and move Seung’s arm that had been draped over his middle to between them, still with their fingers laced. “And they like you too.” He reassured, glad that his important people were getting along so well. “I’m sure Mom will end up using some of the products the first chance she gets.” He said with a nod. Which could be now for all he knew as he hadn’t seen what all the other had gotten her so there could be things that you use before bed.
“Nope, more like t-bone steaks or new york strips rather than meat that is meant for wraps. It will still be grilled but we won’t be doing any of the cooking.” Terry said, getting a fond look on his face as he remembered their outing. “Usually you get the steaks serves with things like vegetables and mashed potatoes though they have a list of different side dishes you can choose from. We usually have a fun time going so yes, a good time will be had for all.” He gave a smile and a nod.

Nodding his head, he did hope they’d have sweet potato as he rather liked it. Potatoes in general were good though so he’d try anything involving it so long as no cheese was involved. But to have someone else cook his meat, someone in a back room...well people cooked his food all the time when he went out and ordered food and he’d never had an issue before. Maybe it was just the grilling part and that normally being something a person did for themself and the group they were with?
“Why will be debate? My idea...I can cover it as family dinner.” He said, thinking it right since it was his idea. Would Terry be trying to fight him on it or one of his parents, if not both. He had a feeling it might be the others parents rather than Terry himself.

“Yes, when you order you let them know how cooked you want it.” Terry said with a nod. Granted sometimes when you ate out the cooks might undercook the meat in comparison to how you ordered it or even over cook it but the steakhouse he had in mind were pretty good about cooking to order. He paused briefly in thought when Seung mentioned liking sweet potatoes. “I think they have a sweet potato option but I’m not completely sure as I have never ordered it before from them.” He tended to stick to mashed potatoes or loaded baked potatoes when it came to eating steak. He then gave a shrug, figuring they would see when they went. “Soon I can agree to wholeheartedly. However, who’s paying for it can be debated later.” It wouldn’t even necessarily be him who was doing the debating knowing his Dad.

Nodding his head to the others words. Seemed easy enough, and he could deal with it. They did it enough at home, though for grilling just cuts of meat that weren't mixed into things it wasn't as common. He had been thinking similar to Korean barbecue, which he was used to and had taken Terry to.
"If they do will like that." He liked potato in general but he was used to, and favored, sweet potatoes. They were another thing he missed from home, the way they were made on streets and sold to people. There was a lot he missed actually and returning home just reminded him of those things, though foods were the biggest thing.
"I see.." Figuring it would be one of Terry's parents to fight him on who would pay for the meal, even if it was his idea- so he should pay. he wouldn't fight the others parents though, that wouldn't be right to do.

Terry gave a half shrug and a smile. “Because more than likely my parents will want to pay for all of us instead.” He said with a chuckle. “I would imagine they would want to pay seeing how you bought them gifts.” Not to mention they would probably want to treat Seung anyway. “But like I said, that could be debated later if or when it becomes an issue.” He propped himself up on one arm as he looked at the other. “Any plans now that you are back here in the city?” He asked, curious.

Yup, he had thought so. The others parents would want to pay, but the gifts being a reason he hadn't considered. Getting gifts for people when you went on a trip was normal, plus he wanted to look good to the others parents, and to Terry. Shifting about on the others bed he reached up in order to tug the other back down and hooking a leg about him rolled them so he was on top of the other.
Laying on Terry the elder made himself comfortable and lay his head on the others shoulder. "No, none tonight. Normal life...school, work, patrol, hopkido, better my English." And now to handle a puppy as well, which wasn't an issue. He also had the gym, which he left off the list by accident, but he'd already listed enough thing. Speaking of the puppy he still needed a name for him, something fitting and appropriate for him...but what? "Going to go to Venice soon." He hadn't been there since the first time, he'd had a lot going on and it had prevented him from doing so. He'd make up for it, when and how he could, and go as soon as he could...maybe in a night or two.

Terry blinked in surprise when Seung pulled him down and rolled them but gave a small smile. He started to stroke the others hair as he listened. "So situation normal." He gave a hum in understanding. "Oh? Any idea just when you are going to go?" The younger man remembered that he had asked him to come along next time we went to his Wonder but since it had been a while he wasn't entirely sure if that was going to still be the case, though knowing Seung it probably still was.

"Yes, normal." He said slowly. It was normal for here and it was no longer normal his life back in Korea - back home. This was home as well and here normal was a bit different. Here he didn't have the same friends, or any friends really, he didn't go out singing with friends and drinking. He didn't go out to shop and eat lunch along the way as he picked up whatever he found most appealing from one of numerous street vendors. This was all the normal now and he hated and loved it. With it came freedoms he hadn't had previously...but he lost out on things he wanted and he still faced obligations.
"No...don't know. Will tell you before hand." Since he still planned on taking the other with him. He might just purchase some forms of light, candles maybe? Those nice long ones and some cheaper holders? He could leave them in various places and fill the candle holders with them. Light them each time he came and replace them as needed. He could use the battery ones too but...maybe real ones? But couldn't he have an accident and burn down his wonder? Or would magic prevent that?
He also wanted to bring more clothing, to leave behind, and perhaps a mattress so he could stay here if he wanted or needed to.
