Hyperborea was sitting alone at the base of a tree in the park. Her staff was leaned against the tree and she had her war horn next to her. She was looking down at a picture of her parents in a locket she had gotten exactly one year ago.

It was her 15th birthday but she would have no one to celebrate it with, sure her grandparents had sent her presents and a card but it wasn't the same. So she was sitting there just remembering her parents and how much she missed them.

"Joyeux anniversaire. Joyeux anniversaire. Joyeux anniversaire, moi. Joyeux anniversaire." She sung softly as tears began to fall onto the locket.

She was so caught up in feeling miserable that she didn't notice the aura approaching her.

He heard the singing as he approached. Babylon crouched a little, aiming for non-threatening, tried to act like he was surprised to see her - even though she was the only transcendent knight who could have possibly sounded so young. "Hype - Hyperborea?" he asked.

Crying girl alert.

Babylon was historically not good at those.

"Um," he said, crouching a few feet from her. "You okay?"

He couldn't be 100% sure, but it had sounded like she was singing Happy Birthday.

He was probably interrupting something.

She let out a surprised meep when she heard a voice nearly jumping out of her skin. She had been so caught up in her own head space Babylon arrival had taken by surprise.

She quickly wiped her eyes clear of her tears and she shut her locket hiding it behind her back. She stood up grabbing her staff and war horn as she did so.

"Oh Babylon, I'm fine." It was a lie and a weak one at that but she didn't want to admit the truth right now.

"It's good to see you." She said trying to be polite. "Um so how long have you been there?" She asked hoping he hadn't seen her throwing her little pity party.

"Long enough to know you're not fine," replied Babylon softly. He frowned at her - people who were fine didn't jump too their feet so quickly, didn't act like they'd been caught with their hand in the cookie jar.

He didn't move to stand back up.

"No need to get up," he told her. "What's going on?"

"I...I just..." She slid back down into a sitting position again.

"I turned 15....today." She said softly. "I just can't get rid of this empty feeling today."

"I miss them so much Babylon." She said hoping he understood what she meant. "I can't figure out how to move on, I know tears won't bring them back but..."

Babylon laced his fingers together beneath his chin and nodded thoughtfully. Then, he said, "It's okay to be sad, you know?" It seemed like something Hyperborea could have forgotten, in her breakneck quest to be strong and knightly. "That doesn't make you weak... just, human."

Cosmos knew, he still wrestled with guilt over his own father's death, and would every day for the rest of his life.

"It's okay to be upset that they're not here with you," he added. "I'd... I'd be kind of weirded out if you weren't, honestly. Being strong's not the same thing as being a robot."

"I know it's just I don't know how much is ok, you know?" She tried to find her words. "What's the line between being human and being weak?"

"Le miel est doux, mais l'abeille pique. That's what I try to tell myself each day. Still merci, it is nice to here that from you." She said wiping her red eyes. She respected the Mercury knight alot and it meant alot to hear him tell her it was ok to feel sad

"Oh actually I'm glad you're here, I've been wanting to give you something." She said trying to change the conversation from this melancholy topic to something more pleasant. She pulled out one of her hope pendents from her sash. "Here a little thank you present for all you've done for me. I call it a Hope Pendent they're a gift from my wonder." She held out the glowing slightly warm crystal necklace.
