T a l e n t s:: My Talents? Does being a gentleman count? Hmm... well I am an excellent dancer (seeing as my parents made me learn just for all the royal balls), and I am an accomplished muscian. I can play the piano, violin, and guitar. Just recently, I've found that I have a small talent for cartography. However, my true talent and passion is sailing.
Q u i r k s:: Being the fourth son out of six, I felt like I didn't receive as much attention as my brothers, which caused me to hate feeling like I'm being ignored. It drives me insane. Another thing is, I'm a bit peculiar as to how my things are arranged and ordered, especially when it comes to my wine collection. Everything has its own place and I like for them to stay that way.
S k i l l s:: Being a demon has its perks. My senses, stamina, strength, and life span are greater when compared to a typical human. I do have the ability to shift into a lion at will, and if I say so myself I have an incredible sense of direction. Quite useful while sailing.

P e r s o n a l i t y:: I considered myself to be a pretty outgoing and easy to get along with guy. I can be charming and the perfect gentleman when it suits me, but most of the time I am laid back guy who really likes to get his way. Maybe its because of my royal upbringing. Who knows. If I deem you worthy enough, I will be incredibly loyal, protective, and completely honest with you. Even if the honest truth may be what you really, really don't want to hear. I don't tolerate disloyalty and I really hate traitors, so you might want to think twice before crossing me. If one is brave enough to do it, I suggest you get you will and last testament ready. I'm usually not one to fly off the handle but if one should harm me, my family, or my crew... you're as good as dead.
H i s t o r y:: The Haidar Lineage is an ancient and powerful line, full of royal blood. I honestly couldn't tell you how far back my ancestry goes, but I just know that it's old. From my understanding, our family settled here after they had some sort of family feud and just started to build a kingdom. Anyways, my parents marriage was an arranged one which is typical for royal families, but they seemed to truly care for one another seeing as my mother gave my father six healthy sons. My childhood was a pretty happy and easy going one. I remember that I was never bored growing up, as I did have many siblings to play with, and as typical boys we did create our own little mischief. Being royal children though, we had so many boring lessons that we had to sit through. Our tutors were all old and boring except for our fencing and dancing instructors. Those two were quite fun. They were much younger than my other tutors and they knew how to keep my attention the best. As I grew, I began to realize more and more that I honestly had no real interest for politics or my "royal" duties. It was just all so dull and being the fourth son, I highly doubt that I would ever become King. The Gods above and below know that I don't want that responsibility. I did find that being the fourth son, I actually had a lot more freedom than my eldest brother which I took advantage of quickly. At the age of sixteen, I was already partying at clubs, drinking, and just enjoying life like any other person. I took many vacations where I would just go hiking, mountain climbing, scuba diving, etc... What can I say, I'm up for any kind of adventure.
At the age of eighteen, I found my true passion for sailing. As a kid, I could always be found at the beach either swimming or just watching the waves lap at the sandy beaches. The ocean had always interested me and it always will. For my eighteenth birthday, my brothers decided to throw a party on a cruise liner. I can't really recall what all happened the night of my birthday but I do know that when I woke up (and my hangover was gone), I went out on the deck and enjoyed the sense of freedom that being out on the sea gave me. Being surrounded by the vast ocean and the bright blue sky... I can't describe how I felt. I can just say that it felt right. After getting back from my birthday cruise, I went home and packed a light bag before heading down to the port of Morocco. There I found a ship that would take me on and thus began a whole new adventure. I found out quite early that sailing and working on a ship was hard work and it was quite the learning experience. After a few months of being out on the sea, I found out an interesting piece of information... I wasn't just on a trade ship... I was on a pirate ship. How did I find this out? Well, it was quite easy to figure out when we were sent to steal from other ships, but we didn't steal just from anybody. No, our captain only stole from other pirates. He always said something along the lines of: "It was child's play stealing from normal people, but it took true talent to steal from a pirate".
The longer that I stayed on the ship, I found out more and more about the captain that I had only caught glimpses of. While he kept a large portion of what he took, he made sure that the crew got their share before giving the rest to orphanages or churches. I was apart of the crew for two and a half years and had worked my way up to first mate. During my time as first mate, I worked closely with the captain and learned so much more from him than I ever did while working my ways of the ranks. Of course, that doesn't mean that I didn't learn valuable advice or tips from the others, but the captain had the information that I wanted the most. How to successfully run your own ship and crew. When he found out that I wanted to have my own ship, he wished me the best of luck and with a mischievous glint in his eyes, he told me to watch my back because I might find my loot gone. After that, I was dropped off at the next port and decided to go back home to check on everyone, seeing as I sort of just took off without telling anyone. Knowing my family, they probably either thought I died. When I got home, I was lectured by my parents for just taking off on them, and once they calmed down, they threw a big feast for my return. The cooks had cooked all of my favorite foods and the women that showed up to this thing... let's just say that I wasn't hurting for bed partners that night. After a week had passed, I began looking into buying a ship. It was hard to keep this all from my family but I soon found what I was looking for and then began searching for a crew.
Finding a trustworthy group of men was hard work and it took me months to finally find people that I felt like I could trust. Luckily, I was one of my old crew mates had found me and asked if they could join up. If it hadn't been for him I might have never found the rest. While I was searching for a ship and crew, my mother thought that my months of staying at home had meant that I wasn't going to leave anymore. Being so busy with my task, I had just ignored my family but I wish that I hadn't now. Even though I am the fourth son, I still had a duty to my family. That duty was finding a suitable bride and continue adding to the Haidar lineage, so my mother began doing me the "favor" of finding me the perfect bride, and she decided to introduce me to these lovely ladies on the night of our annual royal ball. At first I merely thought that these women were just wanting to fool around, but after meeting the fifth princess... I finally figured out my mother's intentions. I waited until the party was over before I asked my parents just what they were up to, and when I told them that I had no desire to marry... well let's just say that I forced their hand. The following week, my parents had arranged a marriage without my consent. Outraged by their actions, I packed up my bags and took off for my ship. After getting the supplies ready and loaded, we headed out and I didn't bother to look back.
I've been out on the sea ever since then and now I am slowly adding more and more to my growing fortune. I have plans on sailing to Greece next, but I find myself in a bit of a predicament. My plans include having someone who can speak fluent Greek and I actually need help with my log books and accounts as well, which is what brings me to the land and this Hotel.
