Colton was born alongside his brother in Oxfordshire, England. They were born prematurely, and due to complications in the pregnancy, Connor ended up being blind at their birth. The twins learned to work together as toddlers, Colton always leading his brother on adventures, despite the younger one's inability to view their surroundings. As toddlers, the duo welcomed a sister into the family and into their circle. They grew up in a loving home, their parents travelers that wanted to make sure their kids learned all about nature. Colton always led the way on hikes, having fun helping his brother get a feel for their surroundings. As they grew into older childhood, the more they discovered about the world. However, shortly before their eleventh birthday, they were told of their magical abilities. The prospect excited Colton, though Connor thought it more a learning opportunity.

Upon admission to Hogwarts, the twins were promptly separated into different houses. This turned out very good, as it allowed them to begin to blossom into their individual personalities. They made their own friends, and were both a bit sad to see their first year draw to a close. During second year, the boys continued to flourish, with Colton quickly becoming enraptured by a girl their year. He rather liked making friends, though kept one in particular, Kenzie, closer than the rest. Third year, the twins brought along their sister, and she was easily put into Gryffindor with him. Third year progressed as normal, save for their new classes and their ability to go to Hogsmeade. Over the following summer, Colton was invited to a wedding with Kenzie for her family, and he managed to ask her out. Now, he had a girlfriend!
As the years went on, he and Kenzie grew ever closer, their relationship blossoming. Shortly after, Connor also got a girlfriend, but it was spooky-snakey Rowan, so the older twin still had his doubts. The family let Kenzie join them on a few trips, provided he kept his grades up, which he was happy to agree with.

Colton used his college fund to buy a photography studio in Diagon Alley, then he and Kenzie moved into the little flat above the shop. It was an exciting first start with his girlfriend.
